Finalmente comprei o Diva da Mac, estava difícil porque mal chegou Setembro ele esgotou!

Apesar de eu ter lábios fininhos eu não tenho problemas em usar qualquer tipo de batom. Se eu gosto da cor eu uso! Não interessa se me faz os dentes amarelos, se me fica mal ou se parece que tenho lábios com a espessura de uma linha. Para mim batom é essencial, tenho sempre algum nos lábios e todos os meus amigos sabem que é impossível eu ir ao café e não reaplicar o batom mais de 2 vezes!

Finally I’ve got my hands on Diva from Mac. It was really hard because this shade was sold out since the beginning of September.

Even though I have very thin lips, I have no shame in using any lip color. If I like it, I'll wear it! It doesn’t matter if it makes my teeth yellow, if it doesn’t suit me or if it makes my lips as thick as a line. To me lipstick is essential, I am always wearing it and all of my friends know that it is impossible to for me to go get a simple cup of coffee without retouching my lipstick more than a couple of times!

Ora aqui está o batom do inverno, é um bordeaux mate muito visto no Instagram nesta estação do ano. No ano passado comprei 2 dupes da Wet n Wild, Cherry Bomb e Cinnamon Spice, (2,99€ na Maquillalia ou Primor), só para saber se valia apena pagar 19,50€ na Mac numa cor que não ia usar todos os dias. Como podem ver, um ano depois decidi investir e não me arrependo. Digamos que o Diva meu batom de fim-de-semana.

Well here it is the lipstick of winter, it’s a mate burgundy shade, very popular on Instagram this season of the year. I bought 2 dupes from Wet n Wild, Cherry Bomb and Cinnamon Spice, (2,99€ on Maquillalia ou Primor) just to see if it was worth spending 19,50€ on Mac for a lipstick that I wouldn't use every day. As you can see, a year later I decided to invest and I don’t regret it. Lets just say that Diva is my weekend lipstick.

Outra cor da família mas mais clara é o Cherry da Sleek (4,99€ na Maquillalia ou Primor) mas o acabamento é muito mais cremoso do que o Diva e dura menos tempo. A Limecrime tem o Wicked (13,95£ mais portes na LoveMakeup) mas este custa imenso a aplicar nos lábios, pois eu engano-me e quando vou passar novamente com o aplicador e a cor não fica opaca. No entanto adoro este batom da marca Ibiza na cor 02 que recebi como oferta na Maquillalia no ano passado quando a marca foi descontinuada. É mudo cremoso mas dourador e a cor pode ser usada com todo o impacto ou discretamente.

Another shade form the same family, but a lot lighter is Cherry from Sleek (4,99€ on Maquillalia or Primor) but it has a creamy finish and it doesn’t last as well. Limecrime has Whicked ( 13,95£ plus shipping on LoveMakeup) but I really struggle to put this in, I usually make mistakes applying it and them when I go over with the applicator the color ends up looking patchy. However, a lipstick that I love and is this one from the brand Ibiza in the shade 02 that I got as a free gift from Maquillalia last year when the brand was discontinued. It’s a very creamy formula but it lasts well on the lips and you can use it sheered out or more heavy to get a better pigment.

Aqui está a minha primeira paleta de sombras da Anastasia Beverly Hills. Devo confessar que não me interessei muito quando vi as primeiras fotos promocionais, mas como me arrependi profundamente de ter deixado escapar a ultima paleta Shadow Couture, achei melhor comprar a nova antes que se esgote.

Here it is my first Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palette. I have to confess that I didn’t really care for it when I saw the first pictures, but since I missed out on the last palette from her (Shadow Couture), I thought it would be wise to be safe than sorry.

A Anastasia é uma marca muito conhecida pelos seus produtos de sobrancelhas, pelos contour kits e pelas sombras. A marca vende sombras individuais estilo Makeup Geek e Mac, e lá de vez em quando lança uma paleta que deixa as americanas em pulgas.

Anastasia is a very well-known brand from their eyebrow products, for the contour kits and eyeshadows. This brand sells individual eyeshadows like Makeup Geek and Mac, and from time to time, releases an eyeshadow palate that all Americans rave about.

Esta é a Self Made, comprei-a na Cultbeauty por 36€ com portes incluídos. Também a podem encontrar na Beautybay com um preço parecido. Por fora temos uma embalagem compacta, com fecho magnético, é cinzenta texturada com uma chapinha prateada com o nome da marca gravado. Por dentro temos 14 sombras, onde apenas 2 são mate (Buttery e Hot Chocolate), um espelho e um pincel (que até não é nada mau).

This is the Self Made palette, I bought mine on Cultbeauty for 36€ with shipping included. You can also find it on Beautybay. On the outside we have a very sleek packaging with a magnetic closure, it’s gray and textured with the name of the brand engraved on a metallic silver plate. Inside we have 14 shades, where only 2 are mate (Buttery and Hot Chocolate), a mirror and a dual ended brush (that is actually really good).

O que não me atraí nesta paleta é a organização das sombras, não sei explicar porque, mas na minha opinião, acho que estas as cores não são muito harmoniosas. De qualquer das formas, esta paleta tem uma qualidade tipo Urban Decay (a melhor marca de sombras para mim), e não é aquela típica paleta neutra pois temos cores únicas como a Isla ou Deep Purple.

As minhas cores favoritas são Pink Champagne, Metallic Plum, Self-Made e Hot & Cold.

What I don’t like in this palette is the layout of the shadows, I don’t know why, but to me they look like they clash with each other. Anyhow, this palette has an Urban Decay quality (the best eyeshadow brand in my opinion), and it’s not the typical neutral palette since we get unique shades like Isla or Deep Purple.

My favorite shades are Pink Champagne, Metallic Plum, Self-Made and Hot & Cold.

Para resumir, acho que esta é uma boa paleta para quem quer aumentar a colecção, fugir à rotina dos mesmos nudes ou até mesmo a quem não tenha nenhuma sombra e seja principiante.

Como já disse anteriormente acho a qualidade destas sombras muito comparável com as da Urban Decay, ora as Nakeds têm 12 sombras (esta tem 14) e custam 50,95€ na Sephora (esta custa 36€ mas so é possivel comprar online), por outro lado como esta paleta não tem muitos mates eu sinto sempre a necessidade de ir buscar uma ou outra cor à minha Stilla Mind (review here!).

Se estão interessadas não esperem muito porque vai esgotar!

To sum up, I think that this is a good eyeshadow palette if you want to grow your collection, avoid the nude shadow routine or even if you don’t have any eyeshadows.

Like I said before I think that this is a high quality palette, very comparable to the Nakeds from Urban Decay. Well, a Naked palette has 12 eyeshadows (this one has 14) and it costs 50,95€ on Sephora (this one is 36€ but it’s only sold online), on the other hand this palette doesn’t have enough matte shades, so I always feel the need to pick up my Stilla Mind Palette (review here!).

If you're interested don't wait any longer because this will sell out fast!

A minha prima veio de Inglaterra este fim de semana e, com ela, vieram também uns miminhos! Para além dos chocolates (galaxy!), chás, jelly beans e fudge eu recebi um perfume e quase morri quando vi que ela tinha na mala a edição de Dezembro da Glamour com a Tanya Burr na capa.

My cousin came from England this weekend and brought some goodies with her! I got chocolates, tea, jelly beans, fudge, a perfume and I almost died when I saw the December issue of Glamour on her purse, with Tanya Burr on the cover.

Gosto muito da revista, é das minhas favoritas, mas como já não tenho fácil acesso a ela acabo sempre por me ficar pelo site. Para quem não conhece, a Tanya Bur é uma youtuber inglesa com 3.3 milhões de subscritores. Ela foi das primeiras youtubers que eu fiquei obsecada. No artigo ela fala sobre o seu casamento, sobre projetos futuros como actriz, fala também como foi crescer no mundo do YouTube. As fotos são lindas e um pouco sexy, ela refere que quer mostrar outro lado mais adulto agora que já tem 26 anos e está casada.

I love Glamour, it’s one of my favorite magazines, but since I don’t have easy access to it, I just end up sticking with their website. For those that live under a rock, Tanya Burr is a British youtuber with 3.3 million subscribers. She was one of first youtubers that I obsessed over. In the article she mentions her wedding, some future projects as an actress, she also talks about what it was like to grow up on YouTube. The photos are gorgeous and a bit sexy, she wants to show an other side of her, a more adult version, now that she is a 26 year old married woman.

O perfume chama-se Ma Dame e é do Jean Paul Gaultier, originalmente lançado em 2008. É um perfume fresco, com uma fragrancia florar, mas com um toque a laraja, rosas e romã. Pode ser usado de dia ou noite, mas vou o guardar para usar na primavera. A embalagem é simples e chic. Podem o encontrar nas perfumarias ou em lojas online como a Fapex.

Ma Dame by Jean Paul Gaultier was launched in 2008. Ma Dame is a fresh, soft floral fragrance featuring a dash of orange and fresh rose illuminated with a flash of pomegranate. Ma Dame is suitable for day and evening wear. The bottle was designed as a transparent block of glass, colored in pink with an engraved sculpture of the legendary Classique fragrance. The outer package is white, with pink and black print. It is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml on Fapex and other stores.

Finalmente decidi comprar na Fapex, outra loja online muito conhecida pelos seus preços em conta. Demorei tanto tempo a tomar uma atitude porque não me agrada pagar 5,95€ de portes, mas a minha curiosidade venceu e acabei por ceder.

Comprei 2 blushes da Nars, fiz as contas e concluí que, mesmo com o valor dos portes, esta loja é a das mais baratas para comprar esta marca.

Finally I decided to buy some goodies on Fapex, another online store known for their affordable prices. I took me so long to shop there because the shipping is 5,95 €, but in the end my curiosity won and I ended with new makeup.

I got 2 blushes from Nars, I did the math and I decided that even with the shipping costs Fapex is the cheapest store to buy the famous brand.

A Fapex tem apenas 4 cores dos blushes em armazém, sendo duas delas as cores Orgasm e Super Orgasm. Quem não conhece, a cor Orgasm é A cor universal, é um coral com brilhantes dourados e é dos blushes mais famosos no mundo da maquilhagem. Por esse motivo, existem imensos dupes da cor, a Sleek tem o blush em Rose Gold, a Elf tem Twinkle Pink, a Makeup Geek tem a cor Romance, da Wet n Wild temos o Pearlescent Pink, a Milani tem o Dolce Pink, e a Nyx vende o Pinched.

Como eu não queria ser cliché comprei as outras 2 cores: Mata Hari e Deep Throat a 24,90€ cada.

Fapex has 4 shades available of the Nars powder blushes, 2 of them being Orgasm and Super Orgasm. For those that aren’t familiar, Orgasm is the universal blush shade, it’s a perfect coral with golden shimmer and it’s one of the most famous blushes in the makeup world. Because of that, there are a lot of dupes out there. Sleek has the shade Rose Gold, Elf has Twinkle Pink, Makeup Geek has Romance, Wet n Wild has the blush Pearlescent Pink, Milani has Dolce Pink and Nyx has the shade Pinched.

Since I didn’t want to be cliché I decided to get the other 2 shades: Mata Hari and Deep Throat for 24,90€ each.

Nars Blush in Mata Hari

Mata Hari é o meu favorito dos 2. É completamente mate, muito pigmentado, macio e durador. A cor é um rosa médio com fortes tons frios, muito lindo para meninas com o mesmo tom de pele que eu.

Mata Hari is my favorite. It’s completely mate, it’s very pigmented soft and long-lasting. It’s a medium pink with cool undertones, gorgeous on girls with a skin tone close to mine.

Nars Blush in Deep Throat

Deep Throat tem um acabamento acetinado e apesar de parecer laranja no swatch posso vos garantir que é um coral muito natural que pode ser usado suavemente ou com toda a sua intensidade.

Deep Throat has a satin finish and even though it looks orange on the swatches, I can guarantee you that it is a very pretty coral, super natural and bendable. It can be used softly or with full intensity.

Nars Deep Throat | Nars Mata Hari

Não fiquei nada desiludida com os blushes, são tudo aquilo que todos falam. A única coisa que mudava era a embalagem, não o seu formato ou design mas sim o material. O plástico é coberto com uma espécie de borracha que se suja muito facilmente e é praticante impossível limpar.

I was not disappointed with these blushes. They are really worth the hype. The only thing I would change is the packaging, not the design but the material. The rubberized plastic is like a magnet to stains and it’s impossible to clean.

Hoje vou vos mostrar o que comprei numa loja um pouco diferente. Chama-se Glambot, e o seu conceito é comprar e vender maquilhagem usada.

Today I am going to show you a different kind of store. It’s called Glambot and their concept is to buy and sell used makeup.

Basicamente quem tem muita maquilhagem em casa que já não usa pode vender à Glambot, eles certificam-se que a maquilhagem é original, está no prazo de validade e procedem à higienização dos produtos. Por fim a maquilhagem é colocada à venda no site a preços mais baixos e com a informação do estado do produto (100%, 80%, 50% ..... onde 100% significa que o produto está novo e nunca foi usado).

Fiquei curiosa não pelos preços, porque há coisas que já estão usadas e têm um preço 2 ou 3 dólares mais baratos que o original. Mas quando vi marcas como Tarte ou Lorac, que são praticamente impossíveis importar para Portugal a um preço decente, decidi arriscar.

Esta primeira compra eu estava um pouco receosa pela alfândega. Mas não houve problemas, a loja declara um valor muito baixo pela maquilhagem usada.

Basically if you have a lot of makeup that you don't use anymore you can sell it to Glambot, they make sure that the makeup is original, it’s not expired and then they proceed to a complete cleaning of the products. After that they put the makeup available on their website with a reduced price and with information about the state of the product (100%, 80%, 50% .... where 100% means that the product has never been used).

The prices are not that great, since there are used things that are only 2 or 3 dollars cheaper than a brand new one. But when I saw brands like Tarte and Lorac, that are practically impossible to ship to Portugal, I decided to take a chance.

Since it was the first time buying from this store I was a bit fearful of customs charges, but fortunately I didn’t had to worry about that!

Tarte - Dollface

Comprei um blush da Tarte na famosa cor Dollface com 80% de produto. É um rosa frio com uma duração de 12 horas. Eu tinha a ideia que este blush ia ter uma textura como os da Too Faced (reviewaqui!), mas afinal são mais secos. Não desgosto dele, mas para blushes assim prefiro usar um pincel mais firme.

I got the infamous blush from Tarte called Dollface with 80% of product. It’s a cool toned pink shade that lasts for 12 hours straight. I don’t know why, but I thought that the Tarte blushes would look like the ones from Too Faced (reviewhere!), turns out that Dollfaced is much dryer. I like it, the long lasting power, the color and even the texture, but I just prefer to use a denser brush with it.

A loja ofereceu-me um baton mini da Kat Von D numa cor laranja avermelhada com um acabamento metálico chamado Adora.

Lastly the store offered me a Kat von D mini lipstick in a oragy red shade with a metallic finish called Adora.

Recomendo esta loja para quem gosta de maquilhagem de marcas mais caras e não quer pagar o preço completo. A Glambot está constantemente em actualização, por isso se virem algum produto que querem à muito tempo, não hesitem em comprar porque muito provavelmente irá esgotar. Por outro lado, os portes são 10 dólares, por isso sigam a loja nos sites de social media para encontrarem cupões de desconto.

I recommend this store to people that love high end makeup and don’t want to pay the full price. Glambot is in constant actualization, so if you want to buy something for quite a while, don’t hold back because it will probably sold out on the website. On the other hand, the shipping is 10 dollars, so just follow the store on their social media to find discount codes.

Anti-Spot Moisturizer | Pore Refining Serum | SOS Spot Killer

Hoje venho vos falar da gama pure skin da essence. Apesar de praticamente toda a marca da essence estar virada para as adolescentes, devo confessar que é uma marca que me fascina, principalmente pelo seu baixo custo.

Eu tenho pele oleosa com tendência a criar acne. Quem sofre do mesmo mal que eu, sabe que as recomendações dos dermatologistas pesam um pouco na carteira. Então como agora tenho o acne controlado, gosto de pesquisar novas alternativas para manter a minha pele o mais normal possível.

Uma coisa que temos que ter em mente quando estamos a testar produtos de skin care para acne é que só vamos ver resultados após 1/2 meses de uso diário. Mas por outro lado, se começares a notar que a tua pele está a ficar pior há 2 hipóteses gerais: podes estar a fazer alergia ou o produto que estas a usar pode ter efeito de purga (ele está a tirar todas as impurezas que tinhas escondidas debaixo de varias camadas da derme).

Posso vos dizer que não observei nenhum resultado com estes produtos. Nem bom nem mau. Eu utilizei estes produtos durante 1 mês. Tive que parar porque a minha pele começou a ficar demasiado oleosa. Provavelmente são produtos mais adequados no inverno quando a minha pele aceitar melhor a hidratação.

Today I am going to talk about the pure skin range from essence. Even though this brand is targeted to teenage girls I have to confess that it is a brand that really intrigues me especially since it’s so affordable.

I have oily/acne prone skin. If you suffer from the same problem as me then you know that the skin care products can empty wallets like no other. Since now my acne is under control, I like to research other alternatives to keep my skin clear.

Something to keep in mind when testing acne products is that we need at least 1/2 months of continuous use to see results. On the other side, if you start to notice that your skin is getting worse it’s either because you are having an allergic reaction or the product you’re using has a purging effect (it’s ejecting all the impurities that you have hidden under your skin).

I can tell you that I have not notice any results in my skin with these products. I used then for about a month. I had to stop using them because my skin was starting to get really oily. Probably because these products are more suited for the colder months when the skin starts to feel a bit dryer.

Anti-spot Moisturizer

O primeiro produto é um hidratante anti-spot mosturizer (2,99€). Ele admite:
- Combater borbulhas e pontos negros (não fez nada contra eles).
- Refinar e matifficar a pele (não fez nada disso… ainda me deixou a pele mais oleosa).
- Reduz visivelmente a vermilhão (não reduziu tao bem quanto o meu corretor).

The first product is called anti-spot moisturizer (2,99€). He claims to:

- Fights spots and blackheads (they are still there).

- Refines and mattifies the skin (It didn’t do that… it just made me oilier).
- Visibly reduces redness (not as well as my concealer).

Pore Refining Serum

Quanto ao Pore Refining Serum (3,99€)… Bem, ele é mais creme do que sérum. Apliquei o à noite depois de limpar a pele com o meu gel normal. Odeio mesmo este produto. Não penetra a pele, entao fica à superficie até eu lavar a cara no dia seguinte, e mesmo assim parece que fico oleosa o resto do dia. Fiz mesmo um grande esforço para continuar a usar estre produto. Este “sérum” admite:

- Refinar visivelmente os poros (não notei grande refinação).

- Acabamento matte de longa duração (não, não, não).
- Combater borbulhas e pontos negros (tal como o hidratante, não notei qualquer diferença).

I also got the Pore Refining Serum (3,99€)… well, it is more a cream than a serum. I apply it before going to bed and after cleaning my face. I really hate this one. It doesn’t sink into the skin like the moisturizer does. It just stays on my skin until I rinse it off in the morning. This makes my skin really oily in the day after. He claims to:

- Visibly refines pores (no, they are still the same size).

- Long lasting matte finish (no, no, no).
- Fights spots and blackheads (nope, I still get them once in a will).

SOS Spot Killer

Por ultimo temos o SOS Spot Killer (3,79€). Pior tratamento local de sempre. Este não recomendo de maneira nenhuma. Tem um cheiro muito forte a álcool. Eu colocava em cima das borbulhas com a ajuda do pincel. Para além de arder bastante durante a noite, no dia seguinte acordava com a pele vermelha.

Para resumir, se vocês estiverem a fazer algum tratamento de acne bastante intenso e a vossa pele estiver mesmo, mesmo seca, talvez tentem usar o anti-spot mosturizer para aliviar um pouco a pele. Caso contrário, não fiquem á espera que estes produtos por si só vos livrem do acne.

For last I got the SOS Spot Killer (3,79€). This is the worst spot treatment ever. I do not recommend this to anyone. It has a strong alcohol scent. I tried this out a couple of times, I just dabbed the brush on top of some blemishes. Not only does this burns A LOT, on the day after my skin would be very irritated.

To sum up, if you’re doing a really intense acne treatment that is leaving your skin super dry, maybe try out the anti-spot moisturizer to add a bit of moisture back to your skin. Otherwise, don’t think that these products are going to fix your acne.

Não sou a maior fan da Makeup Revolution, mas devo dizer que estes blushes até são bastante bons principalmente quando estamos a falar da relação preço/qualidade. Comprei os na Maquillalia a 1,45€. São os blushes mais baratos que encontrei até hoje.

I'm not the biggest fan of Makeup Revolution, but I have to say that these blushes are pretty good especially when you think about the price/quality. I got these on Maquillalia for 1,45€. These are the cheapest blushes that I have found so far.

Como podem ver a embalagem é de plástico com uma tampa transparente para conseguirmos distinguir a cor do blush. Não é a mais bonita do mundo, mas é resistente e compacta. Sei que neste momento as embalagens estão diferentes, são rectangulares e mais fáceis de guardar.

No interior temos 3,4 g de produto. Estes blushes têm a pigmentação de uma sombra de olhos, o que não é muito normal já que nos blushes não queremos a mesma intensidade que nas sombras. Isto poderia ser um ponto negativo, principalmente porque eu sou tão branquinha, mas eu adoro abusar no blush e com um pincel fofinho a aplicação fica perfeita.

Eles têm uma textura um pouco seca, mas espalham-se muito bem. Têm uma cobertura homogénea na pele e existem várias cores para todos os gostos dentro da colecção. Sinceramente não sei como é que a Makeup Revolution vende isto a 1,45€ mas também não me vou queixar.

As you can see the packaging is plastic with a clear lid so that you can see the blush color. It’s not the prettiest packaging in the world but it fits its purpose, it's resistant and sleek.

Inside we have 3,4 g of product. These blushes have the pigmentation of an eye shadow, this is not normal since with blushes we don’t want the same intensity as shadows. But it doesn't really bother me because I like a strong blush.

They have a very dry texture, but they blend very well. They have a even coverage on the skin and there is a variety of shades that you can choose from in the collection. Honestly I don't know how Makeup Revolution sells this for 1,45€ but I am not going to complain.

Em minha opinião a única desvantagem é mesmo a duração. Quando eu uso estes blushes directamente na pele (sem base/BB cream ou primer) eles duram cerca de 3 horas. Por este motivo eu só os uso quando vou passar pouco tempo fora de casa, pois não gosto de andar carregada com blush e pincel na minha mala.

No futuro gostava de comprar os blushes em creme da Makeup Revolution, mesmo que tenham o problema de pouca duração sempre podem vir na mala e basta aplicar com os dedos.

In my opinion the only down side is the lasting power. When I use these blushes directly on the skin (with no foundation/BB cream or primer) they last for about 3 hours. For that reason I only tend to use them when I know that I won’t be out of the house for long, since I don’t like to carry blush and brush with me.

In the future I would like to try out the cream blush range from Makeup Revolution, even if they have the same problem with the lasting power then can come in my bag and I just apply them with fingers.

Love | Now! | Sugar | Wow!

A colecção é composta por 6 cores, das quais eu tenho 4: Love (nude) Now! (rosa neutro), Sugar (coral muito parecido com o Melba da Mac) e Wow! (rosa Barbie intenso).

This range has 6 shades of blushes available and I own 4: Love (nude) Now! (neutral pink), Sugar (coral that looks a lot like Melba from Mac) e Wow! (intense Barbie pink).
