Pink Ivory Makeup: setembro 2016

A BeautyBay é actualmente a minha loja online favorita. A variedade de marcas, os preços e as promoções ocasionais convidam-me sempre a ir lá deixar o ordenado, e hoje vou vos mostrar os meus estragos dos últimos meses.

BeautyBay is currently my favorite online shop. The amount of brands, the low prices and the ocasional promotions always invite me to leave my salary there, and today I am going to show you the recent damage that I made there.

Morphe 35T (24.60€)

A paleta taupe da marca mais adorada das youtubers. É igualzinha à 35O (podem ver o meu post aqui), em termos de qualidade, tanto de sombras como de embalagem, mas com um esquema de cores bem mais frio. Não são as minhas sombras favoritas, mas acho que é uma paleta perfeita para ter em cima do toucador no inverno para usar todos dias.

The taupe palette of the most loved brand of all youtubers. It’s just like de 35O (see the post here), in terms of quality of the shadows and packaging, but with a much cooler tone. They’re not my favorite shadows, but I think that this is a great palette to keep on top of your vanity on winter for everyday use.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in the shade Bacca (18,00€)

Tenho um set de mini batons da Stila e adoro-os a todos (podem ver o post aqui), então decidi comprar uma cor mais “outonal” para a época que vem aí. É aquele tom de framboesa que eu tanto adoro (e não me faz falta), numa fórmula mate fantástica e duradoura.

I have a mini set of liquid lipsticks from Stila and I love them all (you can see my post here), so I decided to get a more “autumnal” color for the season approaching. It’s that kind of raspberry shade that I love so much (and that I don’t need more of), with a great matte formula that really lasts.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel

Recebi como oferta este gel para as sobrancelhas mini, mas podem se preparar porque assim que ele acabar vou investir no tamanho original. É mesmo super cola para as sobrancelhas! Torna-se um bocadinho desconfortável ao início, mas com o passar do tempo vão se habituar e não vão querer outro produto.

I got this mini size brow gel as a free gift, but you can be sure that when I finish it I going to invest on the full size version. It’s just like super glue for the eyebrows! I have to confess that it is a bit uncomfortable at first, but after a while you’ll get used to it and you wont want another brow gel in your life.

Kevyn Aucoin Flesh Tone Lip Pencil in the shade Medium

Outra oferta. Um lápis nude perfeito para dar aquele “efeito botox”. Gosto muito dele, tem uma formula incrível e é uma cor universal, mas nem quero saber quanto custa o tamanho normal, já que esta marca é considerada luxuosa.

Another free gift with purchase. A nude pencil to give that “botox effect”. I really like it. The formula is incredible and the shade is universal, but I don’t even want to know the price of the full size, since this is a luxury brand.

Z Palette Large in Yellow in Yellow (15,30€)

Depois de imenso tempo à espera do restock da versão Extra Large da Zpalette, acabei por comprar uma mais pequena para conseguir armazenar as novas sombras da Makeup Geek que estavam abandonadas na minha gaveta, ainda dentro das embalagens originais (claro que passado uma semana ficou disponível a ZPalette que eu queria).

Esta é a minha 4ª paleta e, muito provavelmente, não será a ultima. São muito resistentes e práticas para quem tem montes de maquilhagem e pouco espaço.

After so long waiting for the restock of the Extra Large Z Palette I ended up getting the size down to store the new Makeup Geek shadows that I had abandoned in a drawer, still inside the original sleeve packaging (off course that a week later the size that I wanted became available).

This is my 4th palette, and I honestly think that it wont be the last. They are very resistant and practical for girls that own a lot of makeup and lack enough space.

Morphe Brushes

Finalmente decidi experimentar os pincéis mais falados do youtube. Comprei um total de 9 pincéis, 2 para o rosto e 7 para os olhos. No futuro irei fazer um post sobre eles, mas se têm curiosidade eu digo-vos já: não são nada de especial…

Finally I decided to try out the most talked about brushes from youtube. I got a total of 9 brushes, 2 face ones and 7 for the eyes. On the future I’ll write a post about them, but if you’re curious I can tell you right now: they’re nothing special…

Comprei 2 para o rosto, um pincel de corretor da gama elite, o E8 (5.87€), e um pincel para iluminar o rosto do estilo “fan”, o M310 (6.99€).

I got 2 for the face, a concealer brush from the elite range, the E8 (5.87€), and a fan brush, the M310 (6.99€).

Comprei também 3 pincéis em formato mini (que eu não sabia que eram mini), 2 para aplicar cor, M135 (3.10€) e M422 (3.45€), e um para esfumar com uma ponta muito precisa, o M139 (3.10€).

I also got 3 mini ones (that I didn’t know that were mini), 2 shader brushes, the M135 (3.10€) and M422 (3.45€), and a tiny precise blending brush, the M139 (3.10€).

Por ultimo, e o tipo de pincel que mais falta me faz, o de esfumar: M502 (5.87€), M503 (6.12€), M504 (6.80€) e o M505 (5.87€).

Lastly, and the brushes that I need the most, I got 4 blending brushes: M502 (5.87€), M503 (6.12€), M504 (6.80€) and the M505 (5.87€).

Este é o meu blush favorito, e dou cabeçadas na parede só de me lembrar das mais que muitas vezes que o deixei na loja!

This is my favorite blush and I hate myself for wasting so many opportunities to get it!

A Urban Decay lançou os seus After Glow Blushes já há algum tempo, mas na minha Sephora só há umas meras 4 cores, todas praticamente florescentes demais para mim, e este, o Fetish, é o único neutro da gama.

Urban Decay released the After Glow Blushes for some time now, but on my Sephora there are just 4 shades, all of them completely to out there for me, except this one, Fetish, the only neutral one from the range.

Ele consegue ser neutro, rosa e malva ao mesmo tempo, com um acabamento mate fácil de espalhar. Fica tão lindo na pele e uma pequena quantidade faz milagres. Não é o blush mais durador do mundo, a Tarte consegue lhe roubar esse titulo na minha opinião, mas as quase 8 horas de utilização não são assim tão más quando comparadas com outros blushes na mesma gama de preços (a.k.a MAC.. cof cof).

It can be neutral, pink and mauve, all at the same time, with a matte finish easy to blend. Looks amazing on the skin and a small amount can make miracles. It’s not the most long lasting blush in the world, Tarte Cosmetics holds that title in my opinion, but the almost 8 hours of wear are not that bad, specially when compared to other blushes on the same price range (a.k.a MAC… cof cof).

A embalagem é o que mais me fascina neste produto. Ela é metalizada e completamente shiny, com uma rede na tampa… Sabem para que ela serve? Para passar lá com o pincel para assim tirar o excesso de produto. Acho a ideia super interessante, principalmente para um blush tão pigmentado como este.

The packaging is also amazing. It comes in a gun metal color completely shiny, with a grid on the inside of the lid… Do you know what's it for? To brush off the excess product. That concept is so interesting, even more so with a blush as pigmented as this one.

Sabiam que os batons mate da Milani são uma maravilha?! Eu já conhecia a gama normal deles, os Color Statement Lipsticks mas, sinceramente, não fiquei muito impressionada. São demasiado cremosos para o meu gosto e parece que andam a passear nos meus lábios… Já os mate já são outra história.

Did you know that the Milani matte lipsticks are amazing? I tried the original Color Statement Lipsticks, but I honestly didn’t like them. They were too creamy for my taste and they felt like they moved around a lot… Now the matte lipsticks are another story.

Comprei 2 cores das que estavam disponíveis durante aquelas semanas de promoções na Primor a 6,49€ cada um. Eu gosto muito destes deles! São finos e cremosos, mas assentam e ficam mate. Com o passar do tempo parece que não temos produto nos lábios mas a cor continua lá. Fiquei muito surpreendida com eles, pois eu estava à espera de algo extremamente seco e difícil de aplicar!

I got 2 shades of the ones available during the weeks os summer sales on Primor for 6,49€ each. I really like them! They are thin and creamy, but they settle and stay matte. After a while it feels like we have nothing on the lips but the product is still there. I was really impressed, specially since I was expecting something dry and hard to apply.

O meu favorito é o Matte Darling, é um rosinha perfeito para andar na mala. Fácil de aplicar em qualquer ocasião. Já o Matte Love vai ser aquela cor para usar nas manhas de inverno. Um roxo não demasiado escuro ou claro, que tinge os lábios numa espécie de cor de amora.

My favorite is Matte Darling, a perfect pink to use every day. It’s easy to apply at any time of the day. Now, Matte Love is that shade to rock on those cold winter mornings. A purple not to dark or light that stains the lips with a berry tone.

Gostava imenso de experimentar outras cores desta gama, mas como estou numa onda de batons líquidos, vou ter esperar um bocadinho. Já experimentaram estes batons? Qual o vosso favorito?

I would love to try out other colors from this range, but since I’m on a liquid lipstick kick I’ll have to wait a while. Have you tried these lipsticks? What is you favorite?

Já devem ter reparado que os tão badalados corretores da Too Faced chegaram às nossas Sephoras. Os Born This Way estão à venda por 26.95€ e vêm numa gama de 8 tons, dos quais eu comprei o mais claro, na cor Very Fair.

You’ve probably noticed that the oh so talked about concealers form Too Faced, are available on our Sephora. The Born This Way concealers are on sale for 26.95€ and come in a rage of 8 shades, of which I choose the lightest of all in Very Fair.

Já o estou a usar à mais de 1 mês e gosto muito dele, ele é hidratante sem me deixar gordurosa, espalha-se muito bem, dura na pele, cobre o que eu quero e a cor é perfeita. Vem numa embalagem fofinha, já típica da marca. Temos 7 ml de produto com um cheirinho a coco que sabe muito bem aplicar por baixo dos olhos, e acreditem que eu sou esquisita com produtos perfumados perto dos meus olhos.

I’ve been using it for more than a month and I really like it. It’s hydrating without leaving me greasy, blends nicely, lasts on the skin, covers everything and it’s the perfect shade. It comes is a super cute packaging, like it’s expected from this brand. It has 7 ml of product and the most amazing coconut scent that feels nice when applied under the eyes, and believe me when I tell you that I’m very picky with scent products close to my eyes.

Prefiro este corretor 1000 vezes do que o da HD da Makeup Forever (review here), pois este deixa a pele natural mas com cobertura. Ele possui água de coco (hidrata), alpine rose (para deixar a pele radiante) e acido hialuronico (que ajuda a combater as rugas). A marca admite também que 100% das pessoas que o utilizaram sentiram a sua pele mais hidrata, eu comprovo!

I prefer this correct 1000 times more than the one HD one from Makeup Forever (review here). This one leaves my skin natural but covered. It has coconut water (hydrates), alpine rose (leaves the skin radiant) and hyaluronic acid (combats wrinkles). The brand claims that 100% of people that tested this product felt their skin more hydrated, and I can tell you that it’s true!

MAS, vale 26.95€? Meeeh Sinceramente não sei… Eu acho o seu acabamento parecido com o Fit Me da Maybelline, mas claro com propriedades extra de skin care e mais cobertura… O meu problema com corretores caros é o mesmo que tenho com as mascaras de pestanas… Vale apena gastar tanto dinheiro por algo que me dura entre 3 a 6 meses quando há algo parecido no supermercado?

BUT, is it worth the 26.95€? Meeeh honestly I don’t know… I find the finish of this concealer similar to the Fit Me from Maybelline, but of course with extra skincare proprieties and coverage… My problem with concealers is the same with mascaras… Is it worth to spend so much money on something that lasts for 3 to 6 month, when there are cheaper alternatives in the drugstore?

Finalmente temos acesso à marca americana Physicians Formula. Eu sempre tive curiosidade em a experimentar, então aproveitei os saldos de verão para comprar umas coisinhas.

Finally we have access to the american brand Physicians Formula. I’ve always wanted to try it out so I took advantage of the summer sales and got some things.

Bronze Booster Glow Boosting (12,99€)

Esta marca é especialmente famosa pelos seus bronzeadores. Lançaram um há pouco tempo que tem dado que falar, o Butter Bronzer… mas esse não estava na loja. Então tive que escolher outro, ainda me dei ao trabalho de pesquisar umas reviews, mas há tanta coisa sobre esta marca que acabei por comprar um à sorte.

Como podem ver, é um bronzer bem quente com acabamento mate, no entanto temos uma bolinha no meio com um pó rosado virado para o shimmery. Se misturarem os 2 a cor fica mais clara e luminosa.

Gosto bastante dele pois tem aquela textura fácil de espalhar que meninas com mãos pesadas vão adorar. A embalagem é gigante e vai ser perfeita para quem gosta de dar um toque de “calor” aos ombros e peito. No entanto eu não sou grande fan da cor. É super laranja para mim, mesmo no pico do verão.

This brand is particularly famous for its bronzers. I really wanted the Butter Bronzer… but it’s not available yet. So I had to pick another one, I even tried to read some reviews, but there is so much information on so many many different products, that I ended up choosing one at random.

Has you can see, it's a warm bronzer with a matte finish, but in the middle we get a shimmery light pink shade. If you mix them the bronzer becomes lighter and more glowy,

I like it, it has a texture easy to blend even for girls with a heavy hand, but I’m got a big fan of the color on my skin though… It’s just too orange for me even in the summer. The packaging is big and perfect for people that like to warm up the chest and shoulders.

Nude Wear Glowing Blush (11,90€)

Adoro blushes… são a minha perdição! E este é cobiçado por mim já há alguns anos. É super girly e fofinho maaaaaaaas... não fiquei muito convencida com ele. As cores são praticamente idênticas e pouco pigmentadas, com a excepção do rosa no canto inferior direito, que por acaso é o único cremoso.

Para além disso, as letras tinham uma camada de shimmer prateado, ou seja, as primeiras vezes que usei este blush ele tinha um acabamento brilhante. Odeio produtos assim, é como se a marca “vestisse” o blush para termos vontade de o comprar.

I love blushes… the’re my weakness! Since I saw this one a couple of years ago I wanted to get it. It’s super girly and cute buuuuuuuuut... it did not convince me. All the colors are pretty much identical and they lack pigmentation, with exception of the pink on the bottom right corner.

The letter have a shimmer lay over, which means that after using it for the first time, the shimmer will be gone. I hate products like this, it’s like the brand is “dressing up” the product to make you want to buy it.

Outros produtos muito conhecidos da Physicians Formula são os iluminadores, famosos por serem dupes dos Shimmer Bricks da Bobbi Brown. O único que havia na loja era esta paleta de cara e olhos.

Isto é mesmo hardcore! Usei as 2 filas mais claras e andei a cegar pessoal na rua. Nos olhos também fica bonito mas têm que usar primário.

Mal abri a embalagem ela descolou-se… Considerando que estou a pagar mais de 10€ por um produto de supermercado acho que o packaging podia ter um pouco mais de qualidade.

Another product that Phisicians Formula is known for is the highlighters, famous for being dupes of the Shimmer Bricks from Bobbi Brown. Unfortunately the only one in store was this eyes and face palette.

This is really hardcore! I used the 2 lightest rows on my cheeks and when went outside to blind people. On the eyes it's okay, but make sure you use a primer first.

Right after I opened the the lip it became unglued... Considering that I'm paying more than 10€ for a drugstore product, I thing that the packaging should've had more quality.
