Pink Ivory Makeup: Z Palette

Se viram o meu top 5 de paletas de 2017 então esta paleta já vos é familiar. Esta é a minha Life Palette! Nela estão 35 das minhas sombras individuais favoritas.

Esta já não é a primeira vez que vos mostro as minhas ZPalettes e o seu conteúdo (post aqui). A parte boa de comprar sombras individuais e de fazer a minha própria paleta é mesmo o facto de ela estar em constante adaptação. Por isso, passado 3 anos está na hora de vos mostrar os updates.

Mesmo antes de comprar esta ZPalette Extra Large na BeautyBay, eu tinha três mais pequenas. Uma palete quente, outra fria e outra semipreenchida de cores vibrantes. Mas ao ter as minhas cores todas separadas por tons, deixava-me pouco inspirada e acabava por ficar sempre com o mesmo look, independentemente das sombras que escolhesse (acontecia muito com a paleta mais fria).

Assim, comprei uma maior que preenchi com as cores e as formulas que mais gosto. Claro que não cabiam todas, então espero rever a minha Life Palette ao longo do ano, para assim a atualizar com as sombras que ando a gostar mais na altura ou outras que ficaram para trás.

This is not the first time I show you my ZPalettes and its contents (post here). The good part about buying individual shadows and making your own palette is that you can always adapt it to your needs, so after 3 years it's time to show you the updates.

This is the Extra Large ZPalette. Just before I bought it from BeautyBay, I had three smaller ones. A warm toned palette, a cool one and a half filled one with vibrant shades. By having my eye shadows sorted by tones, I became uninspired and I always ended up with the same eye look, regardless of the shadows I used (it happened a lot with the cooler palette).

So, I bought a bigger one that I decided to fill with the colours and the formulas that I liked the best. Of course, I couldn’t fit them all, so I decided that the best thing to do would be to review my Life Palette from time to time, so that I could update it with shadows that I liked better at the time or others that forgot.

Como podem ver, a Makeup Geek é a minha marca de eleição de sombras individuais. Mas, com a entrada da Colourpop neste mercado, o meu amor começa a ficar dividido. Também adoro as sombras da MAC, mas guardo-as numa paleta diferente e a única que ficou na minha Life Palette é uma das minhas sombras favoritas que raramente oiço falar.

No futuro gostava de experimentar as sombras individuais da Anastasia Beverly Hills. Adoro as paletes então sei que a formula não me vai desiludir, falta só escolher as cores.

As you can see, Makeup Geek makes my favourite individual eye shadows. However, with Colourpop entering this market, I might have to rethink that. I also love MAC eye shadows, but I keep them in a different palette. The only single from MAC that stayed in my Life Palette is one of my favourites that no one ever talks about anymore.

In the future, I would love to test out the Anastasia Beverly Hills individual shadows. I love their palettes so I know that the formula will not disappoint me, it's just a matter of picking the right shades.

Passei grande parte do ano a conter-me ao máximo para não comprar todos os lançamentos de paletas que apareciam. Em primeiro lugar porque tenho MUITAS, e em segundo porque vou tendo menos tempo para brincar com elas. O meu esforço foi todo em vão porque mal chegou a altura do natal, eu perdi a cabeça e comprei umas amiguinhas novas (que não estão aqui. Ainda precisam de ir aos treinos).

Estas são as minhas paletas favoritas de 2017.

I spent the better part of the year holding back as much as possible so I wouldn’t buy all the palettes that popped up. Firstly, because I have A LOT OF THEM, and second because I'm having less and less time to play with them. My effort was all in vain because when Christmas came I lost my shit and bought some new ones (that are not here. They still need some more loving).

These are my favourite pallets of 2017.

5. Tarte Tartelette in Bloom – A escolhida para todas as viagens. É compacta, tem um bom espelho e tem tudo o que eu preciso para fazer looks sem me chatear. Ainda ponderei comprar a versão Toasted no final do ano, mas esta serve perfeitamente para mim (post aqui).

4. Mac Eyeshadow x15 Warm Neutral Palette – A minha tentação mal a Look Fantastic começou a vender produtos da Mac. Havia uma grande discrepância de preços quando comparados com a nossa loja portuguesa então aproveitei para comprar esta menina por menos de metade do seu valor.

Passado mais de 6 meses consigo vos dizer que não me arrependo nada de a ter comprado. A Mac pode não ter as minhas sombras favoritas, mas funcionam lindamente e sinto-me sempre inspirada quando pego nesta paleta. No entanto, não a recomendo pelo preço original de 122€ (post aqui).

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance – Não há amor como o que eu tenho por esta paleta. Não me atrevo a tocar-lhe quando quero looks naturais porque já sei que vou sair de casa com um smoky eye laranja. Mas quando tenho tempo adoro puxar dela. É fácil de esfumar, as cores complementam-se lindamente e o pigmento está lá. Se ainda não a têm, não sei do que estão à espera (post aqui).

2. Nars Narsissist Loaded Eyeshadow Palette – A minha compra favorita do ano. Esta só não rouba o lugar à Tartelette in Bloom nas viagens porque tem vidro por fora. Ela é extremamente versátil com uma fórmula incrível. Adoro as sombras da Nars e mal posso esperar para comprar outra paleta desta marca (post aqui).

1. Z Palette – Não falha. Todos os anos o lugar número 1 é para as minhas Z Palettes. Desta vez, troquei as minhas de tamanho Large (de 28 sombras), por uma Extra Large (de 35 sombras). Em termos práticos prefiro muito mais esta opção, pois escolhi as minhas favoritas e completei a minha Life Palette… por outro, empurrei sombras boas para o fundo da gaveta. A minha ideia é ir rodando o stock para não deixar nada para trás mas até agora, isso não está a correr muito bem.

5. Tarte Tartelette in Bloom - The chosen one for all my trips. It’s compact, it has a good mirror and it has everything I need to make any look without fuss. I pondered buying the Toasted version at the end of the year, but this one is enough for me (post here).

4. Mac Eyeshadow x15 Warm Neutral Palette - My temptation when Look Fantastic became an official Mac Cosmetics retailer. There was a large price discrepancy when compared to our Portuguese store so I took advantage and I bought this palette for less than half of the price.

More than 6 months later, I can tell you that I don’t regret buying this at all. Mac shadows are not my favourite, but they work beautifully and I always feel inspired when I pick up this palette. However, I don’t recommend getting it for the original price, 122 € (post here).

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance - There is no love like what I feel for this palette. I don’t dare to touch it when I want natural look because I already know that I'm going to leave the house with an orange smoky eye. But, when I have the time, I love playing with it. It’s easy to blend, the shades complement each other beautifully and the pigment is incredible. If you still don’t own this palette, I don’t know what you're waiting for (post here).

2. Nars Narsissist Loaded Eyeshadow Palette - My favourite purchase of the year. The only complaint that I have is that the mirror on the outside scares me a lot, so I don’t travel with it. It’s an extremely versatile palette with an amazing formula. I love Nars eye shadows and I cannot wait to buy another palette from this brand (post here).

1. My Life Palette – Every year... Every year the first place is for my Z Palettes. This time, I exchanged my Large size ones (of 28 shadows), for an Extra Large (of 35 shadows). In practical terms, I prefer this option much more since I now I have my favourite shadows in one place ... but on the other hand, I pushed aside good shadows. My idea was to switch them so I wouldn’t leave any behind, but so far my plan isn’t working very well.

Confesso que esta é uma das minhas categorias favoritas. Adoro paletes, independentemente do tipo, e 2016 foi um grande ano no que diz respeito aos seus lançamentos. Estas são as minhas paletas favoritas do ano passado.

I confess that this is one of my favorite categories. I love palettes, no matter what kind, and 2016 was a great year when we’re talking about new releases. These are my favorite palettes from last year.

5. MAC Palette – Não a comprei em 2016, mas como a completei no final de 2015 acho que merece o número 5 desta lista. Ela tem andado um pouco esquecida, mas não deixa de ser uma das minhas paletas favoritas. As sombras da Mac podem não ser as melhores do mercado, mas cores como Satin Taupe, Cranberry e All That Glitters são razões suficientes para eu abrir esta paleta. 4. Too Faced Peach Palette – O meu vício do verão. Usei e abusei desta paleta, fosse para o trabalho, saídas ou até mesmo para ir ao supermercado. Linda, girly e perfeita. Podem ver o post completo aqui!

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance – Eu abro esta paleta para fazer um look soft e saio de casa com smokey eyes vermelhos, laranjas ou rosas… Está muito bem conseguida, muito trendy e com uma qualidade incrível. É uma pena esta marca não ser muito conhecida por cá, mas assim que ela chegar à Sephora (um dia quem sabe... pelos vistos já anda pela França), já sei que muitas meninas vão ficar completamente vidradas. 2. Tarte Tartelette in Bloom - A Tartelette in Bloom veio substituir o meu amor pela Naked Original. É a paleta do meu dia-a-dia que combina com tudo. Conheço os cantos à casa então sei que looks fazer quando só tenho 5 minutos ou quando tenho meia hora para me arranjar. Post aqui!

1. Z Palettes – No meu post de 2015 eu tinha colocado as Z Palettes no 5º lugar, mas agora estão no top das minhas paletas favoritas, e o grande motivo é a versatilidade destas simples paletas de cartão. Eu dou por mim a organizar a disposição constantemente, a comprar novas sombras e a babar-me pelas edições limitadas (este ano apareceu uma em colaboração com a Betty Boop que quase levei para casa). Actualmente tenho 3 paletas de sombras e 1 de blushes, tudo da Makeup Geek, Hean e Mac. As sombras da MUG são as minhas favoritas, e como a Marlena não pára de lançar cores novas, torna-se fácil crescer a minha colecção de Z Palettes.

5. MAC Palette – I didn’t get this palette in 2016, but since I only finished it by the end of 2015 I think that it deserves the number 5 of this list. I usually forget this palette, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not one of my faves. MAC eyeshadows are not the best on the market, but shades like Satin Taupe, Cranbery and All That Glitters, are the reason enough for me to open it. 4. Too Faced Peach Palette – My summer addition. I used and abused this palette, whether it was for work, nights out or even going to the supermarket. Gorgeous, girly and perfect. You can see the full post here!

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance – Every time I open this palette to do a soft look, I end up leaving the house with red, orange or pink smokey eyes. This is a very well made palette, super trendy and with incredible quality. It’s a shame that Anastasia Beverly Hills is a pretty unknown brand in Portugal, but I can already imagine that when it’ll finally arrive at Sephora, a lot of girls will be completely hooked. 2. Tarte Tartelette in Bloom – Tartelette in Bloom has replaced my love for the original Naked palette. This is my day-to-day palette. I don’t need to overthink anything since I already know it so well. You need it if you love neutral palettes. Post here!

1. Z Palettes – Last year they were on 5^th place and now they’re my favorite palettes, for the simple fact that I can’t stop adding new shadows and rearranging them according to my mood. I own 3 eyeshadow palettes and a blush one, everything from Makeup Geek, Hean and Mac. MUG shadows are my faves and since Marlena won’t stop releasing new shades, it becomes easy to grow a Z Palette collection.

A BeautyBay é actualmente a minha loja online favorita. A variedade de marcas, os preços e as promoções ocasionais convidam-me sempre a ir lá deixar o ordenado, e hoje vou vos mostrar os meus estragos dos últimos meses.

BeautyBay is currently my favorite online shop. The amount of brands, the low prices and the ocasional promotions always invite me to leave my salary there, and today I am going to show you the recent damage that I made there.

Morphe 35T (24.60€)

A paleta taupe da marca mais adorada das youtubers. É igualzinha à 35O (podem ver o meu post aqui), em termos de qualidade, tanto de sombras como de embalagem, mas com um esquema de cores bem mais frio. Não são as minhas sombras favoritas, mas acho que é uma paleta perfeita para ter em cima do toucador no inverno para usar todos dias.

The taupe palette of the most loved brand of all youtubers. It’s just like de 35O (see the post here), in terms of quality of the shadows and packaging, but with a much cooler tone. They’re not my favorite shadows, but I think that this is a great palette to keep on top of your vanity on winter for everyday use.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in the shade Bacca (18,00€)

Tenho um set de mini batons da Stila e adoro-os a todos (podem ver o post aqui), então decidi comprar uma cor mais “outonal” para a época que vem aí. É aquele tom de framboesa que eu tanto adoro (e não me faz falta), numa fórmula mate fantástica e duradoura.

I have a mini set of liquid lipsticks from Stila and I love them all (you can see my post here), so I decided to get a more “autumnal” color for the season approaching. It’s that kind of raspberry shade that I love so much (and that I don’t need more of), with a great matte formula that really lasts.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel

Recebi como oferta este gel para as sobrancelhas mini, mas podem se preparar porque assim que ele acabar vou investir no tamanho original. É mesmo super cola para as sobrancelhas! Torna-se um bocadinho desconfortável ao início, mas com o passar do tempo vão se habituar e não vão querer outro produto.

I got this mini size brow gel as a free gift, but you can be sure that when I finish it I going to invest on the full size version. It’s just like super glue for the eyebrows! I have to confess that it is a bit uncomfortable at first, but after a while you’ll get used to it and you wont want another brow gel in your life.

Kevyn Aucoin Flesh Tone Lip Pencil in the shade Medium

Outra oferta. Um lápis nude perfeito para dar aquele “efeito botox”. Gosto muito dele, tem uma formula incrível e é uma cor universal, mas nem quero saber quanto custa o tamanho normal, já que esta marca é considerada luxuosa.

Another free gift with purchase. A nude pencil to give that “botox effect”. I really like it. The formula is incredible and the shade is universal, but I don’t even want to know the price of the full size, since this is a luxury brand.

Z Palette Large in Yellow in Yellow (15,30€)

Depois de imenso tempo à espera do restock da versão Extra Large da Zpalette, acabei por comprar uma mais pequena para conseguir armazenar as novas sombras da Makeup Geek que estavam abandonadas na minha gaveta, ainda dentro das embalagens originais (claro que passado uma semana ficou disponível a ZPalette que eu queria).

Esta é a minha 4ª paleta e, muito provavelmente, não será a ultima. São muito resistentes e práticas para quem tem montes de maquilhagem e pouco espaço.

After so long waiting for the restock of the Extra Large Z Palette I ended up getting the size down to store the new Makeup Geek shadows that I had abandoned in a drawer, still inside the original sleeve packaging (off course that a week later the size that I wanted became available).

This is my 4th palette, and I honestly think that it wont be the last. They are very resistant and practical for girls that own a lot of makeup and lack enough space.

Finalmente decidi experimentar os pincéis mais falados do youtube. Comprei um total de 9 pincéis, 2 para o rosto e 7 para os olhos. No futuro irei fazer um post sobre eles, mas se têm curiosidade eu digo-vos já: não são nada de especial…

Finally I decided to try out the most talked about brushes from youtube. I got a total of 9 brushes, 2 face ones and 7 for the eyes. On the future I’ll write a post about them, but if you’re curious I can tell you right now: they’re nothing special…

Comprei 2 para o rosto, um pincel de corretor da gama elite, o E8 (5.87€), e um pincel para iluminar o rosto do estilo “fan”, o M310 (6.99€).

I got 2 for the face, a concealer brush from the elite range, the E8 (5.87€), and a fan brush, the M310 (6.99€).

Comprei também 3 pincéis em formato mini (que eu não sabia que eram mini), 2 para aplicar cor, M135 (3.10€) e M422 (3.45€), e um para esfumar com uma ponta muito precisa, o M139 (3.10€).
