Pronto, não resisti á maluqueira e comprei a “Chocolate Bar” da Too Faced. Já andava a ponderar há muito tempo, e o facto de a minha Sephora ter sempre a paleta esgotada só fez aumentar a minha obsessão.

So... I couldn't resist and I bought the new Chocolate bar from Too Faced. I was pondering it for a long time, and the fact that my local Sephora had it sold out every time that I went shopping, only made me want it more.

Finalmente, quando a vi em stock, agarrei-a e ficou decidido que vinha comigo para casa. Ainda perguntei à senhora da Sephora: “quem tem as 3 Nakeds precisa desta paleta?” e ela com uma cara bem séria respondeu: “São totalmente diferentes”. Desatei a rir e a minha culpa por gastar mais dinheiro em sombras para os olhos diminuiu um bocadinho.

Esta Chocolate bar vem mesmo em forma de tablete de chocolate, numa embalagem de metal castanha, bem resistente. Tem 16 sombras, 5 delas mate e tem cacau como um dos seus ingredientes. Vem também com um espelho, e ainda com um pequeno folheto a exemplificar 3 looks possíveis com as diferentes sombras.

Finally, when Sephora restocked the chocolate bar I decided to bring it home with me. I even asked the lady working there if “Someone that owns the 3 Naked palettes needs this one?”, to what she responded with a super serious face: “they are totally different”. I started laughing and my guilt for spending more money in eyeshadows lessened a little.

The palette comes in a form of a chocolate bar, in a pretty resistant brown metal case. It has 16 shades, 5 of them are mate and each has coco power as an ingredient. It comes with a mirror and a small book with 3 examples of possible looks with all shades in the palette.

Em relação às sombras ainda não tive muito tempo a brincar com todas, posso dizer que usei as cores Milk Chocolate e Salted Caramel no côncavo e resultaram muito bem, são pigmentadas e fáceis de espalhar e esfumar. Coloquei a cor Hazelnut na pálpebra móvel e a cor Black Forest Truffle a defenir a linha das pestanas. Para finalizar usei a cor Creme Brulee no canto interno do olho e Haute Chocolate no canto exterior, ficaram muito bonitas pois complementam-se todas muito bem.

I haven’t had the time to play with all the shades in the palette, but I have used Milk Chocolate and Salted Caramel in the crease and they worked beautifully, the're so pigmented and easy to apply and blend. I used Hazelnut in my lid and Black Forest Truffle to define my lash line. To finalize I use crème Brulle in my inner corner and Haute Chocolate in my outer corner. It turned out great since the colors complement each other well.

Uma falha desta paleta é sem dúvida a sua longevidade, quando me fui olhar ao espelho passado 8 horas, continuava com os olhos pintados mas parecia q só tinha uma sombra castanha mate, não havia dourados nem roxos e não havia sinal shimmer. (Usando o paint pot da M.A.C em Painterly como primário).

A not so good thing in this palette it is the longevity of the eyeshadows. After 8 hours of wear when I looked in the mirror, you could tell that I had makeup on my eyes, but it looked that I had a simple mat brown shade all over the lid, there were no golds or purpuly tones in my lids, and there were no sing of shimmer, (I had the M.A.C. paint pot in Painterly has a primer).
