Demorou mas chegou! Este é o novo iluminador da Benefit, o Dandelion Twinkle!

It took a bit long but it’s here! This is the new Benefit illuminator, the Dandelion Twinkle!

Eu sou doida por iluminadores, então quando as duas marcas mais fofas da Sephora, a Benefit e a Too Faced, lançaram iluminadores extra extra cutxi, praticamente ao mesmo tempo, eu tive que escolher.

Foram precisas 3 visitas à loja mas finalmente consegui tomar uma decisão. A Too Faced lançou 3 tons diferentes, dos quais eu só conseguia usar o prateado e o rose gold (e de preferência juntos… cofcof…), por outro lado a Benefit fez um iluminador que consegue ser mais claro do que a mistura dos Love Light Prismatic Highlighters da Too Faced e com uma textura macia com brilhantes fininhos.

I'm crazy about highlighters, so when the two prettiest Sephora brands, Benefit and Too Faced, released "extra extra cutxi" ones, pretty much at the same time, I had to choose.

It took 3 visits to the store but I finally made my decision. Too Faced released 3 different tones, of which I could only use the silver and rose gold (and preferably together... cof cof ...), on the other hand Benefit made an illuminator lighter than the mix of Love Light Prismatic Highlighters from Too Faced and with a soft texture with a shimmery finish.

Então aqui está o Dandelion Twinkle! Um champagne com um tom rosinha, discreto e perfumado para usarmos no dia-a-dia. Não é um glow from de Gods, mas não deixa de ser lindo. A formula assenta perfeitamente na pele e a cor parece que foi feita para mim.

So, here's the Dandelion Twinkle! A champagne with a rosy tone, discreet with a fragrance to use in the day to day. It's not a “glow from Gods” but it's still beautiful. The formula sets perfectly on the skin and the color looks like it was made for me.

Nunca dei muita importância à The Body Shop. Eu pensava que era uma marca de cremes hidratantes para o corpo demasiado caros, e tinha honey bronzer para lá escondido.

I never really care about The Body Shop. I thought that it was just a brand of overpriced body creams, and that had the honey bronzer hidden somewhere.

Desde que entrei no mundo dos blogs percebi que a hype was real e começou a curiosidade. No ano passado experimentei o desmaquilhante de camomila, ou o cleasing butter se quiserem ser chiques como eu, então agora faltava experimentar a gama para peles com borbulhinhas, Tea Tree.

Tenho 2 produtos, um cleanser/esfoliante/mascara e um sérum.

Ever since I got into this blogging world I discovered that the hype was real, and so I started getting more and more curious. Last year I bought the camomile makeup remover, or cleasing butter if you want to be fancy like me, but now I really want to try the range for oily blemished skin, the Tea Tree collection.

I own 2 products, a cleanser/exfoliant/mask and a serum.

O primeiro é o meu favorito, chama-se Tea Tree 3-in-3 Wash Scrub Mask, e como podem perceber este produto é um faz tudo, o que à partida me deixou logo de pé atrás. Passei muitos anos da minha infância a usar champôs “2 em 1” para conhecer as consequências de produtos multitasking em primeira mão. Mas como foi oferecido no natal passado, não hesitei em testá-lo, e posso vos dizer que estou convertida.

Para além de cheirar a uma espécie de mentol com limão, é fresco na pele e tem partículas bem grandes que limpam a pele em profundidade. Deixo atuar uns 10 minutos e quando tiro parece que tenho uma pele nova.

Não sei até que ponto isto pode ajudar alguém que tem acne, mas peles oleosas com algumas borbulhas e pontos negros, vão adorar este menino.

The first product is my favourite. It’s the Tea Tree 3-in-3 Wash Scrub Mask, and as you can guess this is a “do it all” product, which really turned me off. I spend too many years using 2 in 1 shampoos to know the consequences of multitasking products. However, since I was given this on last year’s Christmas I didn’t complain. Let me just say that I really love this.

It smells life a perfect mix of menthol and lemon, it's fresh on the skin and it has big particles that deeply clean your skin. I leave it for 10 minutes and when I wash it off my skin feels brand new.

I don’t know if this can help someone with acne, but if you have oily skin with some blemishes and black spots than you will love this.

O sérum chama-se Tea Tree Skin Clearing Daily Solution e a minha opinião sobre ele resume-se muito a um meh. Segundo a marca “passado 4 semanas a pele fica purificada, macia, saudável, clarificada, mate e com a vermelhão e imperfeições reduzidas”.

Pois, nas primeiras utilizações reparei que a minha pele estava realmente mais uniforme, mas com o passar do tempo acho que ela habituou-se ao produto e já não vejo resultados. Já fiquei sem usar, já voltei a usar e a minha pele contínua igual. Neste momento estou a tentar o despachar para experimentar os ácidos do The Ordinary.

The serum is the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Daily Solution and my opinion resumes to a simple meh. According to the brand “After 4 weeks, skin looks and feels purified, clearer, smoother, healthier, clarified, mattified and soothed with reduced redness and imperfections.”

Well, after the first uses I really did notice my skin becoming clear, but after a while, I think my skin got used to and it stopped working. I’ve tried to give it a break and putting it to the side and then using it back again, but my skin stays the same. Right now, I’m just trying to finish it up so I can try the acids from The Ordinary.

Hoje é dia de haul!

Acabei de chegar da Nyx com o saco cheio de coisinhas novas para testar. Gosto muito desta marca mas gosto ainda mais do fato de poder entrar e tocar em tudo, sem ter que lidar com encomendas online e ainda há a vantagem de receber ajuda das colaboradoras… sim, shade à parte… muitas vezes sinto que as funcionárias da Sephora sabem menos sobre os produtos do que eu.

Eu sou bastante influenciada, como vão perceber, então se eu for atendida por alguém que percebe do que fala eu saio da loja sem dinheiro na conta.

Sem mais conversas, aqui estão os escolhidos:

It’s haul day!

I just arrived from the Nyx store with a bag full of new stuff to try out. I really like this brand but I like even more to go in store and touch everything, without the troubles of online shopping, and with extra help from the Nyx girls... yeah, shady moment coming here… sometimes I feel like the girls at Sephora know even less about the products than me.

I am very easily influenced, as you will be able to see next, so if I’m getting help from someone that knows what they are talking about then I’ll leave the store with nothing in my bank account.

Therefore, without further ado, here are the chosen ones:

Total Control Drop Foundation (15,90 €) – A razão da minha visita à loja. A ideia é simples: mais gotas = mais cobertura. Podem a usar sozinha, ou misturada com o creme hidratante, primer ou protetor solar. Eu fiquei completamente perdida na quantidade de tons, principalmente para albinas como eu. Comprei o tom 03 Porcelain (nunca na minha vida pensei que poderia ser um 03). Aguardem a review desta menina.

Total Control Drop Foundation (15,90 €) – The reason I went to the store. The idea is simple: more drops = more coverage. You can use this on its own, or even mixed with a moisturizer, a primer or a sunscreen. I was completely lost on the amount of shades, especially for albino girls like me. I got the shade 03 Porcelain (never did I thought that I would be a 03 in my life). Wait for the review to find out my thoughts.

Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation (11,90 €) – Eu queixei me à rapariga que me estava a ajudar que achava a base demasiado rosa para mim, ela sugeriu que eu aplica-se um pó ligeiramente quente para neutralizar. Eu fui logo para os pós finos com pouca cobertura, mas ela deu-me este. Ela disse que é excelente para matificar a pele e avisou-me que basta aplicar um bocadinho. Não fiquei muito convencida mas acabei por arriscar. Tenho a cor 02 Nude.

Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation (11,90 €) – I complained to the girl that was helping me that the foundation was a bit to pink for my taste, so she suggested that I applied a bit of a yellow powder to neutralize it. I went directly to the thinner, with less coverage powders, but she gave me this one. She told me that it was excellent to mattify the skin and warned me that you only need to apply a little bit. I wasn’t to convinced, but I ended up getting it. I got the shade 02 Nude.

Angel Veil Perfecting Primer (14,90 €) – Parte de mim pensa que isto não vai resultar na minha pele, mas é tão comentado no youtube que eu tenho que descobrir por mim própria. Ele cria uma camada lisa sobre a pele que facilita a aplicação de base. A ver vamos.

Angel Veil Perfecting Primer (14,90 €) – A part of me thinks that this will not work for my skin, but since it is so talked about on youtube I decided to try it out for myself. It creates a smooth canvas to apply your foundation. I guess will see.

Micro Brow Pencil (8,90 €) – Este é o segundo que compro e como podem ver o amor é real. Desta vez experimentei na cor 05 ash brown, um castanho mais claro e frio do que a cor chocolate que experimentei da última vez.

Slim Lip Pencil Coffee (2,90 €) – Ouvi a Desi Perkins falar desta cor já há uns anos por isso decidir agarra-lo. Sim, eu sei que não tenho muito em comum com a Desi mas não custa sonhar.

Lip Primer (5,90€) – Segundo o que me explicaram na loja, este primário de lábios vai agarrar o batom que aplicam por cima e impede que os vossos lábios sequem. Basicamente “não gostas dos lip lingerie? Tens que usar o primário por baixo que passas a adorar!” hum… sure? Bem, se resultar eu dou notícias por aqui!

Lip Primer (5,90€) – It was explained to me that this lip primer will grab the lipstick, which means that it won’t dry out your lips. Basically: “oh you don’t like the lip lingerie? You need to wear them with this underneath!” hum… sure? Well, if it works I will let you know!

Ainda me lembro de estar na escola quando uma amiga me veio contar que tinha visto um anuncio na televisão de um creme para a pele que era base, protetor solar, hidratante e que ainda fazia mais milagres. Fomos a correr ao mini preço depois das aulas à procura do tesouro, mas saímos de mãos vazias porque não o achamos.

I still remember being in school when a friend came to tell me that she had seen an advertisement on the television of a new face cream that was a foundation, sunscreen, moisturizer and all other good things combined. We went running to the drugstore after class in search of the treasure, but we left empty-handed we couldn’t find it.

Quase 10 anos depois os BB Creams já não são novidade. Estão em todo o lado, e todas as marcas os fazem. Este foi o primeiro que comprei, o Maybelline Dream Pure BB 8-in-1 BB Cream. Usei e abusei dele, até que passei por uma fase de preferir bases de alta cobertura, outra fase em que a minha pele só via cremes hidratantes e corretores, para agora usar um pouco de tudo dependendo do meu humor.

Eu estava a procrastinar no meio do Continente quando vi este velho amigo e decidi trazê-lo para casa, mas desta vez na versão para peles oleosas com 2% de acido salicílico, ideal para secar aquelas borbulhinhas chatas.

Tenho a cor mais clara que não chega a ser clara o suficiente para mim, mas como é tao fino e não tem cobertura, fica fácil espalhar. Não se iludam, a embalagem pode fazer 1001 promessas, mas precisam sempre de uma boa rotina de pele, e de um corretor, se querem esconder as borbulhas ou marcas. No entanto ele disfarça a pigmentação sem cobrir as minhas sardas e não me deixa oleosa durante o dia.

Almost 10 years later BB Creams are nothing new. They are everywhere, and all brands make them. This was the first one I bought, the Maybelline Dream Pure BB 8-in-1 BB Cream. I used and abused it, until I went through a phase of preferring high coverage foundations, another phase where my skin only saw moisturizers and concealers, and now I use a little of everything depending on my mood.

I was procrastinating in the middle of the drugstore the other day, when I saw this old friend and decided to bring him home, but this time in the version for oily skin with 2% salicylic acid, ideal for drying those annoying blemishes.

I have the lightest shade that is not light enough for me, but since it is so thin and has no coverage, it is easy to blend. Do not be deceived, the packaging can make 1001 promises, but you always need a good skin routine, and a concealer if you want to hide ant blemishes or marks. However, it disguises the pigmentation without covering my freckles and does not make me oily during the day.

Este BB Cream pode não ser tão bom como os seus ascendentes da Coreia, mas não deixa de ser uma boa opção do supermercado para quem não gosta de fazer compras online ou gastar o ordenado na Sephora.

This BB Cream may not be as good as its Korean ancestors, but it is still a good option from the drugstore for those who do not like to shop online or don’t want to spend their all wage on Sephora.

Finalmente ganhei vontade para falar sobre a minha Tartelette. Se viram a minha review da versão in Bloom (aqui), então sabem que essa é a minha favorita de longe, mas caso ainda tenham duvidas sobre qual a melhor então este post é para vocês.

Finally, I felt like talking about my Tartelette. If you’ve seen my review on the in Bloom version (here), then you already know that that one is by far my favorite, but in case you still have doubts about which is the best then this post is for you.

A Tartelette é composta por 12 sombras totalmente mate com cores iluminadoras, de transição, de côncavo e de definição dentro das 3 famílias de tons: quentes, frios e neutros. Basicamente, esta paleta é o complemento perfeito a todas as outras que consideravam incompletas… no meu caso ela não me faz falta.

Se ainda não repararam, não me faltam sombras de olhos. Por isso como a Tartelette tenho as minhas Z Paletes cheias de Makeup Geek (aqui), tenho a Shadow + Light Eye Contour da Kat Von D (aqui) e ainda tenho a Stila Eyes Are the Soul na cor Mind (aqui)… (já é uma sorte eu não ter caído na tentação de comprar a Naked Ultimate Basics da Urban Decay).

Com isto não quero dizer que a Tartelette não seja boa. Ela tem pigmento e esfuma-se facilmente, é impecável para viajar e no que toca à embalagem já sabem que é fenomenal e completamente instagram worthy. Por outras palavras ela é linda… mas não é única.

Tartelette has 12 fully matte colors separated in highlighting shades, transition shades, crease shades and defining shades within the 3 tone families: warm, cold and neutral. Basically, this palette is the perfect complement to all the others that were considered incomplete ... but in my case I don’t need it.

If you still haven’t noticed, I do not need more eyeshadows. So just like the Tartelette I own Z Palettes full of Makeup Geek (here), I have the Shadow + Light Eye Contour from Kat Von D (here) and I still have the Stila Eyes Are the Soul in Mind (here)... (It's a luck that I did not fall into the Naked Ultimate Basics from Urban Decay hype).

By this I do not mean that Tartelette isn’t good. It has pigmented shadows that blend easily, it’s made to travel anywhere and as far as the packaging goes you already know that it’s phenomenal and completely Instagram worthy. In other words, it’s a beautiful palette... but it’s not unique.

Podem a usar sozinha para fazer 2 ou 3 looks, pois acho que a variação de cores não permite muito mais que isso. Apesar de as cores serem todas diferentes dentro da palette, consoante o vosso tom de pele, elas quase que se tornam idênticas. Não percebo o porque de tanta gente a considerar a paleta favorita logo quando ela saiu.

You can use it alone to make 2 or 3 looks, since I think that the color variation does not allow much more than that. Although the colors are all different inside the palette, depending on your skin tone, they almost become identical. I do not understand why so many people considered this their favorite palette when it was first released.

Cabe a vocês avaliar o que precisam e o que gostam numa paleta. Para mim é um passe total.

It's up to you to weigh what you need and what you like on a palette. For me this a total pass.

Mais uma marca de batons líquidos para vos mostrar! Esta é a Ofra, é uma marca americana conhecida pelos seus batons líquidos e iluminadores, que cresceu rapidamente pois já tem pelo menos 4 colaborações com Youtubers.

I have another liquid lipstick brand to show you! This is Ofra, an American brand known for its liquid lipsticks and illuminators. This brand grew so much, so fast because of its many collaborations with Youtubers, and it looks like they will keep up with the trend.

Eu comprei 2 cores, Passadena e Laguna Beach. O primeiro é o meu favorito, um nude malva que todas as marcas fazem questão de lançar desde que a Kylie Jenner decidiu tornar a cor famosa. Laguna Beach é mais um rosa quente, que pelas fotos no site parecia muito mais nude do que bubble gum pink...

Eles são os batons mais espessos que já alguma vez usei. Demoram a secar, mas quando secam ficam no sitio, são confortáveis e não se desfazem apesar de parecer que tenho uma grande camada de batom.

I bought 2 shades, Passadena and Laguna Beach. The first one is my favorite, a mauve nude that all brands make a point of releasing ever since Kylie Jenner decided to make the color famous. Laguna Beach is more of a warm pink that looked much more nude on the website than the bubble gum pink that it truly is...

They are the thickest lipsticks I've ever used. They take a long time to dry, but when they do, they stay in place, they are comfortable and they don’t flake off even though I feel like I have a big layer of lipstick on.

Hoje venho vos mostrar o meu hidratante favorito! É da marca Yes To, da gama de tomate, direcionada para peles mistas e acneicas.

Today I’m going to show you my favorite moisturizer! It’s from the brand Yes To, of the tomato range, directed to mixed and acne prone skin.

Eu estava no mercado para comprar um hidratante novo, então acabei por agarrar este na BeautyBay sem qualquer pesquisa. Estive indecisa sobre a versão normal ou a versão com protetor solar, mas acabei por ficar pelo primeiro, já que sou mais rigorosa na escolha de protetores novos.

O amor foi tão grande que este é o segundo que comprei. Desta vez fiz uma pesquisa completa da marca e já sei que vou ter que experimentar mais produtos deles. A Yes To tem 11 colecções: Cotton, Cucumbers, Charcoal, Coconut, Miracle Oil, Tomatoes, Grape Fruit, Blueberry, Carrots, Power Cocktail e Natural Man.

The love was so great that this is the second tube I bought. This time I did a complete research on the brand and I already know that I will have to try more products from them.
