No início de Maio recebi um email
da Tarte que foi impossível ignorar.
A marca lançou um kit personalizado com 7 produtos full size por 57€ mas que valia mais que 185€. Eu não sou de ferro e tive que encomendar.
On the beginning of May I got an email from Tarte that was impossible to ignore. The brand released a customizable kit with 7 full size products of 57€, but that was worth more than 185€. I’m too weak to resist a deal like that.
O kit consistia em escolher um estojo, base, blush, pincel, batom, eyeliner e mascara de pestanas. Comecei a fazer contas e só pelo blush e base eu conseguia justificar pagar os 57€. Estou tão feliz com este deal. Eu tenho um cesto enorme de maquilhagem para fotografar, e só a uso depois de ter a certeza que já não preciso de mais fotos… este conjunto passou à frente de tudo e todos pois eu preciso de meter estes produtos na cara.
The kit consists in case, a foundation, a blush, a brush, a lipstick and eyeliner and a mascara. I started doing the math and quickly realized that I could justify the 57€ just buy getting the blush and foundation alone. I’m so happy with this deal. I have a basket full of products waiting to be photographed that were completely forgotten as soon as I got this package.
Começando pela base… Eu só tenho uma base da Tarte e tenho uma grande adoração por ela (podem ver o post aqui!), então estava mais que sabido que precisava de outra… o problema é que só havia 3 opções: Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation, Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation e Confidence Creamy Powder Foundation, sendo as 2 ultimas bases em pó.
Optei pela Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation (36€), mesmo sabendo que ela é direcionada para peles mais secas. Ainda não a experimentei, mas suspeito que seja escura demais para mim, o que é um pouco estranho já que escolhi a mesma cor da minha outra base da Tarte.
Starting with the foundation. I only own one Tarte foundation, and I really love it (you can see my post here!), so I knew that I had to get another one… the problem was that this kit only offered a selection of 3: Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation, Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation and the Confidence Creamy Powder Foundation. The last two being powder foundations.
I ended up choosing the Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation (36€), even knowing that it was made for dry skin. I haven’t tried it yet, but I suspect that it is darker than my skin tone which is a bit weird since I chose the same shade as my other foundation from Tarte.

toda para escolher, com a exceção da gama dos nudes lançados no inverno. Mesmo
considerando as cores famosas para o verão como Tipsy ou Blissful,
acabei porque escolher o Celebrated
(28€), um rosa neutro bem clarinho para andar comigo na mala.
The blush selection was much bigger! We could pick one from the whole range, with the exception of the newest nude shades released last year. I considered the famous summer shades like Tipsy and Blissful, but I ended up getting the colour Celebrated (28€), a very soft neutral pink to take everywhere with me.
O pincel também foi uma escolha difícil… Tínhamos uns 4 para escolher, mas eram todos com 2 lados, com a exceção do que eu escolhi. O pincel que eu queria mesmo era o concebido especialmente para usar em conjunto com a base… mas como é óbvio, esse não estava incluído. Acabei por escolher o Swirl Power Contour & Bronzer Brush (34€).
The brush was a complicated choice… I had 4 to pick from, and all of them were double sided with the exception of the one I got. What I really wanted was the brush made to use with the foundation that I picked out… but that one wasn’t included. I settled with the Swirl Power Contour & Bronzer Brush (34€).
Escolhi o Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint de edição limitada na cor Festival (19€) só pelo packaging dos unicórnios… para descobrir
que afinal consistia apenas num autocolante (mal colado) na tampa. Ao menos
acertei na cor. É um mauve lindíssimo
para todos os dias.
I got the limited edition Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in the shade Festival (19€), just because of the
unicorn packaging… just to later find out that it was just a badly glued
sticker on the lid. Well at least I like the shade. It’s a gorgeous mauve for every
day.
Havia eyeliners para todos os gostos, em caneta, em gel, em lápis, em tubo e até aqueles lápis automáticos. Como é óbvio fui para a opção mais fácil e escolhi o Lights, Camera, Lashes Precision Longwear Eyeliner (20€).
There were eyeliners for everyone. You could pick your favourite kind: Felt tip, gel, pencil, tube or automatic pencil. I went for the safe path and got the Lights, Camera, Lashes Precision Longwear Eyeliner (20€).
No departamento das mascaras de
pestanas ainda vacilei e não sabia qual escolher. No fim optei pela Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara
(22€). Aquela embalagem de madeira deixa qualquer pessoa curiosa.
On the lash department, I got a bit
lost. In the end I got the Gifted
Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara (22€). That wood packaging leaves anyone
curious.
Por fim eu tinha 2 opções para o estojo… Uma roxa para adultos e uma holográfica para unicórnios. As fotos falam por si.
Lastly, I could pick one of two cases… One was purple for adults and the other was holographic for unicorns. The photos speak for themselves.
