No mês passado, algumas das
bloggers que eu sigo, começaram a falar de um programa de subscrição chamado
Lip Monthly. Basicamente, por 12.50$ (com portes grátis), recebemos em casa uma
malinha com 4 ou mais produtos para lábios. Não hesitei e fiz a subscrição de
um mês, e ainda tive direito a um desconto de 50% por ser o primeiro mês,
ficando um total de 6.81€, já com as taxas de conversão.
Last month, some bloggers that I follow, started
mentioning this subscription program called Lip Monthly. Basically, por 12.50$
(with free shipping), we get a small bag with 4 or more products for the lips.
I didn’t hesitated and subscribed for a 1 month, and I was still able to use a
50% off discount, resulting in a total of 6,81€.
A subscrição de Julho que recebi
vinha dentro de um estojo amarelo, e contem em 1 batom, 1 gloss, uma cheek
stain, e uma mascara de rosto e corpo, perfazendo um total de 68.95$.
The July subscription came with a bright yellow bag, and
inside I got a lipstick, a gloss, a cheek stain and a face/body mask. All worth
of 68.95$ according to the card inside the bag.
Começando pelo batom, ele é da marca Dirty Little Secret e vem numa embalagem muito “rasca”, super leve e de plástico barato, no entanto a cor Vengeance é um fuchsia bem cremoso e pigmentado que fica lindo no inverno.
Starting with the lipstick, it’s form the brand Dirty
Little Secret and it comes with a really “crappy” packaging, its super
lightweight and cheap feeling, but inside, the color Vengeance is a bright fuchsia, really creamy and pigmented that would look amazing on the winter.
O segundo produto é da marca So
Susan, da gama Jello Shot. Quando o agarrei meti-o logo nos lábios, digamos que
assumi que fosse um lip stain pois é igual aos outros tantos que tenho. Usei-o, fotografei-o e andei com ele na mala durante umas semanas… Só
quando estava a editar as fotos é que vi que afinal não serve para os lábios
mas sim para as bochechas… Enfim…
A cor Hangover, apesar de
aparentar ser laranja, na pele espalhado torna-se ligeiramente rosa. Se aplicarem pouco e
espalharem com os dedos ele fica muito natural no rosto e dura mais que os
tÃpicos blushes em pó.
The second product is from the brand So Susan and it’s
form the range Jello Shot. When I grabbed it I applied it immediately to my lips,
let’s just say that I assumed it was a lip stain since it looks just like the other ones I have. I used it, photographed it and kept it in my bag
for a couple of weeks… It was only when I was editing the photos that I
realized that apparently this is not meant for the lips, but for the cheeks… Oh well…
The color Hangover, although it might look orange on the tube, on
the skin turns a bit more pink. If you apply a little bit and blend it very well with
fingers, you can achieve a very natural look that lasts much longer than the
typical powder blushes.
A mascara é da marca Jorel
Parker. É uma mascara de argila com uns óleos à mistura. Não trazia caixa e a
parte de trás do tubo não indica qualquer ingrediente, mas faz questão de
listar todos os benefÃcios do mundo que tem. Usei uma vez só para
não escrever um post sem a ter testado, a única conclusão que cheguei é que tem
um cheiro intenso. Sou um pouco esquisita com os meus produtos para a pele, e
acho que este vai ser doado à minha irmã.
The mask is from Jorel Parker. It’s a clay mask with
some oils according to the from os the tube. It didn’t came with a box and the
packaging has no ingredients listed, but we get a very extensive list of all the benefits
of this mask. I just used it once for the sake of this post, and the only think
I and say about it is that it has a strong scent. I’m a little bit iffy when it comes to skin care products, so I think I’ll pass this one to my sister.
Por fim, um gloss da marca Manna
Kadar mas que na embalagem admite ser um lip stain (só que não), para mim isto é
um gloss, é peganhento, “glossy”, e não deixa qualquer resido da cor quando
desaparece. Se há produto de maquilhagem que eu odeio são os glosses… Mesmo que
a cor seja linda, digamos que fui “lucky” com esta cor, mas eu posso vos
garantir que não lhe vou tocar mais.
Lastly I got a gloss from the brand Manna Kadar, that
on the packaging claims to be a lip stain…. But to me this is a gloss: it’s sticky, glossy and it doesn't leave any color residue behind. If you didn’t knew this, I hate glossess… Even in this beautiful color, (lets just say that I
was “lucky” to get this shade), I can guarantee you that I will not touch this
product ever again.
Para resumir, não vou voltar a
comprar. O serviço é super eficiente, barato e prático. Não tenho nada contra a
Lip Montly, mas com a quantidade de maquilhagem que eu tenho, não me vejo a
usar produtos que recebi aleatoriamente quando já tenho uma colecção de maquilhagem extensa #FirstWorldProblems
To sum it up, I will not repurchase this bag again. The
service is quick, practical and efficient. I have nothing against Lip Monthly,
but for me personally there is no point since I have a big makeup collection, so
I will never chose to use a product that I got randomly. #FirstWorldProblems
