Pink Ivory Makeup: outubro 2017

A Lime Crime é das minhas marcas favoritas de batons líquidos. São daqueles mais secos, mas a sua duração e as cores out there compensam o desconforto.

Lime Crime is one of my favorite liquid lipsticks brands. They are a bit on the dry side, but their lasting power and the shades out there are worth for the discomfort.

Recebi um email do site oficial e resolvi dar um olhinho. Claro que encontrei este kit a cerca de 18€ e nem pensei duas vezes. A isso acrescenta-se outros 9€ de portes e voilá! 2 semanas depois tinha a encomenda em casa. Como foi a minha primeira compra no site deixei-me ficar pelo paypal, já que a loja é famosa na questão dos pagamentos (da pior maneira).

O duo de batons I Have 2 Moods já me tinha despertado atenção há algum tempo, então foi uma compra fácil. É composto por um roxo escuro, o raven e um nude pálido a atirar para o rosinha, o marshmallow.

I received an email from the official website and decided to take a little look. Of course, I found this kit for € 18 and did not even think twice. To this is added another € 9 of shipping and voila! 2 weeks later I had my parcel at home. As it was my first purchase on the site I played it safe and used paypal, since lime crime has had some trouble in the past.

The lipstick duo I Have 2 Moods had already attracted attention for quite some time, so it was an easy purchase. It consists of a dark purple, raven and a pale rosy nude to shoot named marshmallow.

Tinha mais espectativas para o marshmallow, já que adoro nudes e não tinha nada tão claro como este, mas afinal existia um motivo para não ter esta cor… é que ela fica-me mesmo mal. É pálido de mais e como tem aquele fundo rosa, torna-se igual ao meu tom de pele… digamos que parece que estou morta. O meu avô (que já me viu sair de casa com lábios pretos várias vezes) mandou-me ir tirar esta cor porque ficava “estranha”.

O raven é tão escuro que mais vale ser preto. Usei-o 2 vezes a caminho e a voltar do trabalho e dá aquela sensação de badass. Podia ser mais uniforme, mas é complicado com estas cores mais escuras. Basta usarem um bom lipliner por baixo que ele fica homogéneo.

I had more expectations for marshmallow, since I love nudes and I had nothing like this colour in my collection, but apparently, there was a reason for it ... it really looks awful on me. It’s too pale and has that pink undertone so it’s basically my skin tone ... let's say that it looks like I'm dead. My grandfather (who already saw me leave the house with black lips several times) told me to go remove this colour because it was "strange".

Raven is so dark that it might as well be black. I used it a couple of times on the way back from work and it gives me badass feeling. It should be more even, but that’s complicated to achive with these darker colors. Just use a good lipliner underneath that it is homogeneous.

Provavelmente o produto mais extra que a internet me convenceu a comprar. No meio de contour kits da Anastasia, hoolas da Benefit e pós da Makeup Geek que raramente vêm a luz do dia, eu fui comprar mais um produto de contorno.

Probably the most extra product that the internet convinced me to buy. In the midst of Anastasia's contour kits, Benefit’s hoolas and Makeup Geek’s contour powders that rarely see the light of day, I went shopping for another contouring product.

O foco do marketing deste pó é o seu tom frio, o que o torna ideal para fazer contorno, já para não falar na marca chique e a fórmula fácil de trabalhar na pele que fica natural. “Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder é um pó único que adiciona uma sombra subtil à pele que define e esculpe o rosto.”

The marketing focus of this product is its cool tone, which makes it ideal for contouring, not to mention the chic brand and the easy formula to work on the skin that looks natural. “Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder is a unique powder which adds a subtle shadow to the skin to define and sculpt your natural features.”

Esta é uma review muito simples:

Sim, este é o melhor contorno que já usei.
Sim, a cor light é perfeita para peles claras.
Sim, a embalagem é goals.
Aguenta pelo menos 8 horas até que começa a desaparecer lentamente.
Não deixa nenhum risco castanho. A fórmula tão macia que conseguem a esfumar até desaparecer se bem quiserem, assim por ser uma fórmula tão boa, não corremos o risco de falharmos o contorno, basta dar mais umas pinceladas que ficamos “esculpidas”. É quase um produto de contorno para idiotas (desde que não “besuntem” o pincel com camadas de pó).

This is a very simple review:

Yes, this is the best contour product that I've ever used.
Yes, the shade light is perfect for pale skin.
Yes, the packaging is goals.
Stays put for at least 8 hours until it slowly fades away.
It leaves no brown stripes. The formula so soft that you can blend it away with your brush if you want to. By being such a great formula there is no of failing the contour. You just need a couple brushstrokes to get "sculpted" cheeks . It’s almost a contour product for dummies (as long as you don’t layer your brush with 6 coats of powder).

Mas a verdade é que se não usarem, se não gostarem de contorno, ou se for só uma coisa de ocasiões especiais, vão acabar por ter 49€ dentro da gaveta… mas vá, vem com uma manga de veludo para guardar… it’s something.

Nevertheless, the truth is that if you don’t use it, if you don’t like the contour, or if it's just a special occasions thing, then you will end up having 49€ stored in your drawer... but it comes with a velvet sleeve to protect it... it's something.

Ai Colourpop, como me tentas…

Decidi experimentar 2 paletas coloridas da colourpop enquanto havia vestígios de verão. Claro que quando a alfandega as decidiu soltar, já não restava sol para ser considerado normal usar sombras rosa e laranja… Mas conta a intenção.

Oh, Colourpop, how you tempt me…

I decided to try 2 colourful palettes from colourpop while there were still traces of summer. Of course, that when the customs decided to release them, there was no sun left to be considered normal to use pink and orange shadows… But you know, I got an A for effort.

Eu adoro sombras individuais. Não há nada melhor do que podermos criar as nossas próprias palettes, tirar e meter sombras e brincar com as disposições. Então quando vi que a colourpop ia lançar sombras individuais eu já sabia que lhe ia dar o meu ordenado. Decidi esperar, pois para “render” teria que fazer uma encomenda grande, e não queria arriscar dinheiro em sombras inferiores à Makeup Geek, já que depois da paulada da alfândega o valor final ia ficar muito idêntico.

Aguentei até ao dia em que a colourpop meteu grande parte do site com 50% de desconto, incluindo as paletas já feitas, que por si só já saem mais baratas do que comprar 4 sombras individuais. Paguei 8 dólares por cada, o que equivale a 2 dólares por sombra (não me perguntem quanto paguei de taxas porque não me apetece chorar, thank you so much).

I love individual shadows. There is nothing better than being able to create our own pallets, take out, add shadows, and play with their display. Hence, when I saw that the colourpop was going to sell individual shadows, I already knew that I was going to give it my pay check. I decided to wait, because to "save money" I would have to make a big order, and I did not want to risk over paying shadows with less quality than Makeup Geek, since after the hit from the customs the final value would be very identical.

I held on until the day that colourpop decided to make a big sale on the site with a 50% discount, including the already made palettes, which alone are cheaper than buying 4 individual shadows. I paid 8 dollars for each, which is equivalent to 2 dollars per shadow (do not ask me how much I paid for fees because I do not feel like crying, thank you so much).

Eu escolhi as 2 mais vibrantes, e as que eu sabia que não ia ter cores repetidas. A Blow Me Away é bem laranja e berrante e a Belle of the Ball é rosa com tons mais subtil e um rosa escuro intenso.

Temos 3 sombras mate e uma metálica em cada paleta. Todas têm um pigmento de outro mundo como conseguem ver nos swatches. Os mate são macios ao ponto de se desfazer e os metálicos parecem líquido. Não são muito diferentes das sombras da makeup geek, mas vou continuar preferir as ultimas já que são muito mais fáceis de comprar.

I chose the 2 most vibrant, and the ones I knew I would not have repeated colours. The Blow Me Away is very orange and loud and the Belle of the Ball is a pink version with subdue tones and a dark intense pink.

We have 3 matte shades and one metallic shade on each palette. All have a pigment from another world as you can see on the swatches. The mattes are soft to the point of dissolving and the metallic shades look, and feel, almost liquid. They are not very different from makeup geek shadows, but I will continue to prefer the latter since they are much easier to buy.

Samantha Ravndahl é uma das minhas pessoas favoritas. Então quando ela diz que a Nars lançou o seu batom favorito, eu tenho que o comprar.

Chamam-se Velvet Lip Glide e são definidos pela Nars como uma “mistura de conforto com cor intensa de alto pigmento. Aplicam-se como um gloss, cobrem como um batom e não se sentem. Têm uma cor semi mate que se mantém flexível sem secar ou colar.”

Samantha Ravndahl is one of my favourite people. So when she said that Nars released her favourite lipsticks, I had to get it.

They’re called the Velvet Lip Glide and Nars defines them as: “Covetable comfort meets confident color in a high-pigment formula that glides like a gloss, cloaks like a lipstick and feels like nothing else. Semi-matte color glides on and stays supple without drying or feeling sticky. Developed with Oil Infusion Complex, an innovative concentration of precious oils, fused to create a smooth-glide effect. Fully coats lips on contact with smooth, saturated, semi-matte style.”

Eu nunca usei nada como este batom. Ele é meio oleoso, então deixa os lábios macios e confortáveis. Não é um gloss, pois não cola e não dá brilho. Não é um batom ou um lip lacquer, porque é tem uma textura fina com um acabamento natural. E também não é aquele batom mate que seca nos lábios e não se mexe.

Ele aguenta 2 a 3 horas nos lábios ou até decidirem comer. É muito fácil de aplicar e retocar. Têm um cheirinho agradável e a embalagem é Nars: simples e linda.

Eu comprei a cor Bound, o bestseller da marca por ser um rosa médio. Quero muito agarrar outros nudes da colecção, como o Suck, Stripped ou Unlaced, já que ficam bem em qualquer altura do ano.

Desde a moda dos batons líquidos que eu fiquei convertida a lábios mate. Acho que isso vai mudar rapidamente depois de experimentar o meu primeiro Velvet Lip Glide. Se conseguirem agarrem um, pois são mesmo muito bons.

I have never tried anything like this lipstick. It’s kind of oily, so it leaves the lips feeling smooth and comfortable. It’s not a gloss, since it’s not shiny or sticky, but it’s also not a lipstick or lip lacquer because it has a thin texture with a natural finish, and it isn’t either a liquid lipstick that dries matte and doesn’t budge.

It lasts for 2 to 3 hours on the lips or until you decide to eat. It’s very easy to apply and retouch. It smells amazing and the packaging is Nars: simple and gorgeous.

I got the shade Boud, the bestseller for being a medium pink. I really want the other nudes in the collection, like Suck, Stripped or Unlaced. I think that those colours in this formula would be amazing for the every time of the year.

Since this liquid lipstick trend came, I was completely converted to matte lips. However, that might change quickly after trying my first Velvet Lip Glide. If you can, just grab one because these are amazing.

Demorou mas chegou! Este é o novo iluminador da Benefit, o Dandelion Twinkle!

It took a bit long but it’s here! This is the new Benefit illuminator, the Dandelion Twinkle!

Eu sou doida por iluminadores, então quando as duas marcas mais fofas da Sephora, a Benefit e a Too Faced, lançaram iluminadores extra extra cutxi, praticamente ao mesmo tempo, eu tive que escolher.

Foram precisas 3 visitas à loja mas finalmente consegui tomar uma decisão. A Too Faced lançou 3 tons diferentes, dos quais eu só conseguia usar o prateado e o rose gold (e de preferência juntos… cofcof…), por outro lado a Benefit fez um iluminador que consegue ser mais claro do que a mistura dos Love Light Prismatic Highlighters da Too Faced e com uma textura macia com brilhantes fininhos.

I'm crazy about highlighters, so when the two prettiest Sephora brands, Benefit and Too Faced, released "extra extra cutxi" ones, pretty much at the same time, I had to choose.

It took 3 visits to the store but I finally made my decision. Too Faced released 3 different tones, of which I could only use the silver and rose gold (and preferably together... cof cof ...), on the other hand Benefit made an illuminator lighter than the mix of Love Light Prismatic Highlighters from Too Faced and with a soft texture with a shimmery finish.

Então aqui está o Dandelion Twinkle! Um champagne com um tom rosinha, discreto e perfumado para usarmos no dia-a-dia. Não é um glow from de Gods, mas não deixa de ser lindo. A formula assenta perfeitamente na pele e a cor parece que foi feita para mim.

So, here's the Dandelion Twinkle! A champagne with a rosy tone, discreet with a fragrance to use in the day to day. It's not a “glow from Gods” but it's still beautiful. The formula sets perfectly on the skin and the color looks like it was made for me.

Nunca dei muita importância à The Body Shop. Eu pensava que era uma marca de cremes hidratantes para o corpo demasiado caros, e tinha honey bronzer para lá escondido.

I never really care about The Body Shop. I thought that it was just a brand of overpriced body creams, and that had the honey bronzer hidden somewhere.

Desde que entrei no mundo dos blogs percebi que a hype was real e começou a curiosidade. No ano passado experimentei o desmaquilhante de camomila, ou o cleasing butter se quiserem ser chiques como eu, então agora faltava experimentar a gama para peles com borbulhinhas, Tea Tree.

Tenho 2 produtos, um cleanser/esfoliante/mascara e um sérum.

Ever since I got into this blogging world I discovered that the hype was real, and so I started getting more and more curious. Last year I bought the camomile makeup remover, or cleasing butter if you want to be fancy like me, but now I really want to try the range for oily blemished skin, the Tea Tree collection.

I own 2 products, a cleanser/exfoliant/mask and a serum.

O primeiro é o meu favorito, chama-se Tea Tree 3-in-3 Wash Scrub Mask, e como podem perceber este produto é um faz tudo, o que à partida me deixou logo de pé atrás. Passei muitos anos da minha infância a usar champôs “2 em 1” para conhecer as consequências de produtos multitasking em primeira mão. Mas como foi oferecido no natal passado, não hesitei em testá-lo, e posso vos dizer que estou convertida.

Para além de cheirar a uma espécie de mentol com limão, é fresco na pele e tem partículas bem grandes que limpam a pele em profundidade. Deixo atuar uns 10 minutos e quando tiro parece que tenho uma pele nova.

Não sei até que ponto isto pode ajudar alguém que tem acne, mas peles oleosas com algumas borbulhas e pontos negros, vão adorar este menino.

The first product is my favourite. It’s the Tea Tree 3-in-3 Wash Scrub Mask, and as you can guess this is a “do it all” product, which really turned me off. I spend too many years using 2 in 1 shampoos to know the consequences of multitasking products. However, since I was given this on last year’s Christmas I didn’t complain. Let me just say that I really love this.

It smells life a perfect mix of menthol and lemon, it's fresh on the skin and it has big particles that deeply clean your skin. I leave it for 10 minutes and when I wash it off my skin feels brand new.

I don’t know if this can help someone with acne, but if you have oily skin with some blemishes and black spots than you will love this.

O sérum chama-se Tea Tree Skin Clearing Daily Solution e a minha opinião sobre ele resume-se muito a um meh. Segundo a marca “passado 4 semanas a pele fica purificada, macia, saudável, clarificada, mate e com a vermelhão e imperfeições reduzidas”.

Pois, nas primeiras utilizações reparei que a minha pele estava realmente mais uniforme, mas com o passar do tempo acho que ela habituou-se ao produto e já não vejo resultados. Já fiquei sem usar, já voltei a usar e a minha pele contínua igual. Neste momento estou a tentar o despachar para experimentar os ácidos do The Ordinary.

The serum is the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Daily Solution and my opinion resumes to a simple meh. According to the brand “After 4 weeks, skin looks and feels purified, clearer, smoother, healthier, clarified, mattified and soothed with reduced redness and imperfections.”

Well, after the first uses I really did notice my skin becoming clear, but after a while, I think my skin got used to and it stopped working. I’ve tried to give it a break and putting it to the side and then using it back again, but my skin stays the same. Right now, I’m just trying to finish it up so I can try the acids from The Ordinary.

Hoje é dia de haul!

Acabei de chegar da Nyx com o saco cheio de coisinhas novas para testar. Gosto muito desta marca mas gosto ainda mais do fato de poder entrar e tocar em tudo, sem ter que lidar com encomendas online e ainda há a vantagem de receber ajuda das colaboradoras… sim, shade à parte… muitas vezes sinto que as funcionárias da Sephora sabem menos sobre os produtos do que eu.

Eu sou bastante influenciada, como vão perceber, então se eu for atendida por alguém que percebe do que fala eu saio da loja sem dinheiro na conta.

Sem mais conversas, aqui estão os escolhidos:

It’s haul day!

I just arrived from the Nyx store with a bag full of new stuff to try out. I really like this brand but I like even more to go in store and touch everything, without the troubles of online shopping, and with extra help from the Nyx girls... yeah, shady moment coming here… sometimes I feel like the girls at Sephora know even less about the products than me.

I am very easily influenced, as you will be able to see next, so if I’m getting help from someone that knows what they are talking about then I’ll leave the store with nothing in my bank account.

Therefore, without further ado, here are the chosen ones:

Total Control Drop Foundation (15,90 €) – A razão da minha visita à loja. A ideia é simples: mais gotas = mais cobertura. Podem a usar sozinha, ou misturada com o creme hidratante, primer ou protetor solar. Eu fiquei completamente perdida na quantidade de tons, principalmente para albinas como eu. Comprei o tom 03 Porcelain (nunca na minha vida pensei que poderia ser um 03). Aguardem a review desta menina.

Total Control Drop Foundation (15,90 €) – The reason I went to the store. The idea is simple: more drops = more coverage. You can use this on its own, or even mixed with a moisturizer, a primer or a sunscreen. I was completely lost on the amount of shades, especially for albino girls like me. I got the shade 03 Porcelain (never did I thought that I would be a 03 in my life). Wait for the review to find out my thoughts.

Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation (11,90 €) – Eu queixei me à rapariga que me estava a ajudar que achava a base demasiado rosa para mim, ela sugeriu que eu aplica-se um pó ligeiramente quente para neutralizar. Eu fui logo para os pós finos com pouca cobertura, mas ela deu-me este. Ela disse que é excelente para matificar a pele e avisou-me que basta aplicar um bocadinho. Não fiquei muito convencida mas acabei por arriscar. Tenho a cor 02 Nude.

Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation (11,90 €) – I complained to the girl that was helping me that the foundation was a bit to pink for my taste, so she suggested that I applied a bit of a yellow powder to neutralize it. I went directly to the thinner, with less coverage powders, but she gave me this one. She told me that it was excellent to mattify the skin and warned me that you only need to apply a little bit. I wasn’t to convinced, but I ended up getting it. I got the shade 02 Nude.

Angel Veil Perfecting Primer (14,90 €) – Parte de mim pensa que isto não vai resultar na minha pele, mas é tão comentado no youtube que eu tenho que descobrir por mim própria. Ele cria uma camada lisa sobre a pele que facilita a aplicação de base. A ver vamos.

Angel Veil Perfecting Primer (14,90 €) – A part of me thinks that this will not work for my skin, but since it is so talked about on youtube I decided to try it out for myself. It creates a smooth canvas to apply your foundation. I guess will see.

Micro Brow Pencil (8,90 €) – Este é o segundo que compro e como podem ver o amor é real. Desta vez experimentei na cor 05 ash brown, um castanho mais claro e frio do que a cor chocolate que experimentei da última vez.

Slim Lip Pencil Coffee (2,90 €) – Ouvi a Desi Perkins falar desta cor já há uns anos por isso decidir agarra-lo. Sim, eu sei que não tenho muito em comum com a Desi mas não custa sonhar.

Lip Primer (5,90€) – Segundo o que me explicaram na loja, este primário de lábios vai agarrar o batom que aplicam por cima e impede que os vossos lábios sequem. Basicamente “não gostas dos lip lingerie? Tens que usar o primário por baixo que passas a adorar!” hum… sure? Bem, se resultar eu dou notícias por aqui!

Lip Primer (5,90€) – It was explained to me that this lip primer will grab the lipstick, which means that it won’t dry out your lips. Basically: “oh you don’t like the lip lingerie? You need to wear them with this underneath!” hum… sure? Well, if it works I will let you know!
