Pink Ivory Makeup: junho 2016

Mais umas comprinhas da Makeup Geek! A minha ideia era comprar umas sombras mate, já que é a minha formula favorita da marca… Mas não sei como me arranjei porque acabei por escolher de tudo um pouco. Comprei 9 sombras e um pincel de 2 lados para as sobrancelhas. No total são 3 sombras duochrome, 4 mates e 2 shimmers e não podia estar mais feliz com elas!

More damage from Makeup Geek! My idea was to buy some matte shadows, since that is my favorite formula from this brand, but… I ended up greeting a bit of everything. I got 9 shadows and a dou sided eyebrow brush. 3 of the shadows are douchromes, 4 are matte and I also got 2 shimmery ones. I couldn’t be happier with my selection!

Escolhi 5 cores mais frias e a "atirar" para o roxo, já que na altura tinha enjoado de cores quentes:

Rockstar – sombra duo cromática de base prateada com brilho rosa.

Twilight – Roxo pálido com brilho.

Barcelona Beach – Castanho médio com tom frio e acabamento mate.

Unexpected – Castanho rosado muito pálido e com acabamento mate.

Cherry Cola – castanho escuro mate com grande influencia de tons Bordeaux.

I got 5 cool toned shades, because at the time I was a bit sick of warm tone shades. They are:

Rockstar – Medium silver base with purple-pink reflects.

Twilight – Pale shimmery muted purple.

Barcelona Beach – Medium sand shade with a matte finish.

Unexpected – Matte pale pink brown.

Cherry Cola – Deep brown with strong red undertones and a matte finish.

As outras 4 cores que vieram atrás são mais quentinhas, (sim eu sei que disse que estava enjoada, mas há hábitos que não mudam).

Shimma Shimma – Champanhe metálico.

I’m Peachless – Duocrome com base alaranjada e reflexos pêssego e rosa.

High Tea – Castanho médio mate com tons verde azeitona.

Havoc – Sombra duocromática com base vermelha-acastanhada e reflexos verdes. Esta é a minha favorita! Se vocês gostam de smokey eyes quentes super-elaborados e com dimensão agarrem esta cor!

The other 4 shades that I got are a bit warmer, (yes, I know that I said that I was sick of warm shades, but old habits die hard).

Shimma Shimma – Metallic champagne.

I’m Peachless – Buff base with peachy-pink reflects.

High Tea – Matte medium brown with strong olive undertones.

Havoc – Warm red-brown base with teal reflects. This one is my favorite! If you like a super elaborated warm smokey eye than grab this color!

O pincel que comprei chama-se Dual Ended Brow Brush e é fantástico para quem gosta de preencher as sobrancelhas com sombra. O pincel é angulado e tem precisão suficiente sem ser demasiado rijo, o que ajuda imenso a desenhar a sobrancelha sem que esta pareça ‘desenhada’, o lado da spoolie é super prático para pentearmos e esbater o excesso de produto.

The brush that I got is called Dual Ended Brow Brush and is great for those that like to fill their eyebrows with eyeshadow. The angled side is sharp and it’s precise enough without being to stiff, which helps when you want to draw your eyebrows but you don’t want them to look too “drawn in”, if you know what I mean. The spoolie side is very practical to comb over the hairs and blend out the excess of product.

Andou ai uma altura que as minhas marcas favoritas começaram a lançar paletas de blushes atrás de paletas de blushes! Depois de não conseguir agarrar a paleta da Gwen Stefani + Urban Decay e a nova da Benefit com os blushes em full size, decidi que ia vasculhar o site da Inglot e ia fazer a minha própria paleta de blushes!

There was a time where all of my favorite brands were coming out with blush palettes! After missing the Gwen Stefani + Urban Decay and the new one from Benefit with the full size blushes, I decided to search the Inglot site and make my own blush palette!

É a primeira vez que compro nesta loja, e como não tenho nenhuma perto de mim, experimentei o serviço deles de loja online. Devo avisar já que não fiquei 100% agradada. Fiz a compra dia 31 de Março (utilizei a opção de referencia multibanco), dia 1 de Abril o pagamento foi confirmado, dia 7 tive que contactar a loja porque nunca mais faziam o envio. Recebi a resposta umas horas depois, a informar que um dos produtos que escolhi estava esgotado e estavam a aguardar o restock. Finalmente dia 11 de Abril a minha encomenda foi despachada e no dia seguinte recebi-a em casa.

It’s the first time that I buy in this store, and since I don’t have any close to me, I tried out the online shopping service that they offer. I have to tell you that I was not 100% pleased with it. I made the purchase on the 31st of March, on the next day my payment was confirmed, but on the 7th of April I had to contact the store since they were taking so long to ship it. I got an answer a couple of hours later, telling me that one of the products was sold out and they were waiting for a restock. Finally on the 11th of April my order was shipped and I received it on the next day.

Quanto aos produtos, comprei 4 blushes a 9€ cada e recebi uma paleta de oferta. A parte difícil foi mesmo escolher as cores! Procurei swatches em blogs, Instagram, Youtube, e lá me fiquei com esta selecção.

Comprei as cores:

21 - Laranja escuro meio afagado.

27 - Rosa com tons malva.

28 - Nude rosado.

35 - Nude claro mais virado para o pêssego com glitter.

Quando vi o blush 35 fiquei logo desiludida, apesar de a cor ser suave, nota-se a 5 metros de distancia o glitter dentro da pan. Felizmente na cara o resultado é outro, o glitter deve cair do pincel, ou então é este que não o agarra... Só sei que este é o meu blush favorito dos 4. É perfeito para meninas com peles pálidas e mãos pesadas.

I got 4 blushes for 9€ each and I received the palette for free. The hard part was picking the shades! I googled swatches on Blogs, Instagram and Youtube and finally settled with these 4.

I got the shades:

21 - Muted orange.

27 - Pinky mauve.

28 - Nude with pink undertones.

35 - light nude with a peach undertones and glitter.

When I saw the shade 35 I got really disappointed. Since I have large pores, I stay away from glitter on my blushes, bronzers and powder. BUT, this one is my favorite! The glitter must fall from the brush or maybe it’s the brush that doesn’t pick it up... All I know is that I love the shade! It’s perfect for pale girls with a heavy hand.

Quanto à formula estou um pouco indecisa. Tem alturas em que a aplicação fica lindíssima e outras em que fico cheia de manchas e não as consigo espalhar... Não sei se é do meu pincel (Zoeva 127), do meu creme hidratante ou do próprio blush. Eles também não são os mais duradouros em mim, mas como eu não uso base ou primer no dia-a-dia já estou à espera desse resultado.

Posto isto, não sei se voltava a comprar mais blushes desta marca, ou pelo menos desta gama. Já testaram estes blushes? Gostam deles?

Now, on the formula I'm a bit weary. There are times where I get an amazing application and other times where I get a lot of patches that are impossible to blend out... I don't know if its my brush (Zoeva 127), my hydrating cream ou the blush. Also, they don't last that much on me, but since I don't use foundation or primer on day to day basis, I usually expect that.

So I don't know if I would buy more blushes from this brand, or at least from this range. Have you tested this? Do you like them?

Adoro ver posts e videos com este Tag. É muito simples, não ha cá perguntas nem nada do género, apenas temos que partilhar quais os produtos que fomos influenciadas a comprar pelos nossos Youtubers favoritos, e claro, falar da boa ou má experiência!

Paletas Naked da Urban Decay – A minha favorita é a Naked original e já a comprei à cerca de 4 anos! Não foi a primeira Naked que comprei, essa honra calhou à Naked 2, mas passado este tempo todo posso vos garantir que a Naked 1 era a única que eu voltava a comprar se a minha maquilhagem desaparece-se toda (sacóde!). Na altura lembro-me de ver tutoriais atrás de tutoriais com esta paleta. É mesmo um produto de culto e eu percebo porque!

Urban Decay Naked Palettes – My favorite is the original Naked and I've had it for 4 years by now! It was not the first Naked palette that I purchased, that honor goes to the Naked 2, but after all this time I can assure you that this is the only palette that I would buy again if all my makeup disappeared (knock on wood!). At the time I remember watching tutorials after tutoriais with this palete. It really is a cult favorite and I know why!

Soft n' Gentle da Mac – O iluminador mais famoso da Mac! Este comprei porque a Camila Coelho mandou! Sim a culpa é dela, não me responsabilizo :P Eu adoro este iluminador, especialmente no verão quando tenho um pouco mais de cor.

Mac Soft n' Gentle – The most famous highlighter from Mac! I got it because Camila Coelho told me to! It’s all her fault :P I love it, specially in the summer with a nice tan.

Hoola Bronzer da Benefit – Comprei este produto depois de ver o video da Jaclyn Hill a explicar como fazia contorno (já la vão uns 2/3 anos). É lindo e perfeito e até há bem pouco tempo era o único contorno que eu tinha. Sei que agora a Benefit relançou a gama Hoola e adicionou alguns produtos à família, incluindo a versão liquida, mas acho que me vou ficar pelo original!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer – I got this product after watching the Jaclyn Hill video on contouring (I think that was 2/3 years ago). It’s beautiful, and for a long time it was the only contour product that I owned. I know that Benefit relaunched the Hoola range with some new products, including the liquid version of this bronzer. I think I will pass that one and just stick with the original!

Blushes da Nars – Só tenho 2 e tenho imensa pensa em não ter mais... mas digamos que não são propriamente baratos. Praticamente todos os Youtubers adoram os blushes desta marca, mas foi o Wayne Goss que me convenceu! Tenho as cores Deep Throat (a Jaclyn Hill prefere este em vez do Orgasm... então pronto) e Mata Hari (adorado pela Norvina, a filha da Anastasia Beverly Hills).

Nars Blushes – I only have 2 of them and I whish I could have more... but these are not cheap. Almost all Youtubers that I know rave about the Nars blushes but it was Wayne Goss that convinced me! I have the shades Deep Throat (Jaclyn Hill prefers this one to orgasm... so that was a valid reason to get it) and Mata Hari (Norvina, the daughter of Anastasia Beverly Hills, loves this shade).

Champô Seco da Batiste – Acho que praticamente todas conhecemos a fama deste champô. Quem me incentivou foi a Kathleen Lights, mas a Casey Holmes também ajudou bastante. Já o usei mais, mas ultimamente comecei a lavar o cabelo todos os dias com a excepção da sexta-feira (é quanto passo a noite enfiada no cafe e saio de lá perfumada de tabaco), então antes de sair de casa mando uns sprays para absorver o excesso de oleosidade e no dia seguinte lavo o cabelo de manha!

Batiste Dry Shampoo – I thinks that practically everyone knows about this shampoo. Who convinced me was Kathleen Lights, but Casey Holmes helped to. I have used countless bottles of this product, but right now I don’t need it as much. Lately I got into the habit of washing my hair everyday except Fridays (it’s the night that I spend out and return smelling like a walking cigarette), so before going out I spray a little of this dry shampoo and wash it off on the morning after!

Pinceis da Real Techniques – Quem ainda tem estes pincéis? Agora raramente oiço falar neles (é só Morphe Brushes e Zoeva para trás e prá frente), mas continuam a ser os meus favoritos! Foram criados pelas irmãs Pixiwoo la para 2011 e troca o passo, e também me lembro de ver a cunhada delas, a Tanya Burr, a usar estes pincéis religiosamente. Nunca cheguei a experimentar os novos (aqueles mais chiques... e mais caros), mas sinceramente estou servida com estes meninos. Já os tenho à 5 anos e ainda estão aqui rijos!

Real Techniques Brushes – Who doesn’t love these brushes? Now I rarely hear about them (Morphe and Zoeva are all the range right now), but they are still my favorites! They were created by the Pixiwoo sisters around 2011, and I remember watching their sister in law, Tanya Burr, using these religiously. I have never tried the newer ones (the mor fancy… and expensive ones), but I think I’m all set with these babies for a while. I’ve had them for 5 year and here they are, just as soft since day one!

Os L.A. Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Glosses saíram no ano passado, por esta altura, e lembro-me de ficar colada ao ecrã do meu computador a ver lip swatches das minhas Youtubers favoritas, principalmente porque chegaram à Maquillalia ao mesmo tempo.

The L.A. Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Glosses came out around last year, and I remember being glued to my computer screen watching lip swatches of my favorite Youtubers, specially since they arrived to Maquillalia at the same time.

Não sei se também vos acontece, mas quando vejo um lançamento americano, fico empolgada durante 5 minutos e depois vou chorar para o canto porque sei que ainda vão demorar meses a chegar a Portugal. (A dica é especialmente direccionada à Too Faced! POIS, onde estão os meus Melted Matte Too Faced?).

Lá fiz a minha selecção de cores e encomendei na a 5.49€ na Maquillalia. Nada ia correr mal, então comprei 3! Até que os testei e fiquei completamente à toa… como é que é possível tantas pessoas adorarem isto???

I don’t know if this happens to you too, but every time I see an american release I get super excited for about 5 minutes and them I lay down and cry myself to sleep because in Portugal we need to wait alooooot for a new release to show up. (I’m talking about you, Too Faced! Where are my Melted Matte Lipsticks, hmm?).

I made my selection and ordered from Maquillalia for 5,49€ each. Nothing was going go to wrong, so I order 3! Them I tested them and was completely stupefied. How is it possible for so many people to love these???

Eles têm pigmento, ficam homogéneos e as cores são lindas. O problema é que são “cola” nos meus lábios. A formula até pode aparentar ser matte, mas tem uma textura super peganhenta, e nem sequer é tipo gloss, é como se os meus lábios estivessem constantemente colados. É uma sensação horrível, que faz com que eu tenha vontade de passar com a língua nos lábios, então umas horas depois fico com o famoso “butholle lip”.

Em termos de embalagem também não sou a maior fan, e tudo deve-se ao facto de termos um gargalo enorme que faz com que produto saia, acumule-se por fora e mude de cor. Felizmente isto só me aconteceu com um, pois foi o único que passou umas horinhas na minha mala.

They are pigmented, look even on the lips and they have a great color selection.The problem is that they’re “glue” on my lips. The formula may look matte, but the texture is to sticky, and not like a gloss. It's like my lips are super glued to each other. It’s the most uncomfortable feeling in the world, and all I want to do is to go over them with my tongue. Couple of hours later I’m rocking the famous “butthole lip”.

The packaging is not that great too, and that is essentially because of the massive opening. The product comes out, settles and changes color. Fortunately this only happened in one, since it was the only one that spend a couple os hours in my bag.

Bem, de qualquer das formas vou vos mostrar as cores que tenho, pois pode haver fans da LA Girl por aqui! Comprei Dreamy (nude rosado), Bazaar (rosa médio) e Obsess (coral avermelhado), onde o primeiro é o meu favorito, mas lá está, só pela cor.

Já conheciam estes batons? Gostam deles? Alguma recomendação para os usar?

Anyways, I’m going to show you the shades I own, because I bet that there are some L.A. Girl fans out here! I got the shade Dreamy (pinky nude), Bazaar (médium rose) and Obsess (coral with red undertones). The first one is my fave, but only for the color.
