Lime Crime... Eu sempre tive
grande fascÃnio por esta marca, e mesmo depois de todo o drama ainda acompanho os lançamentos, principalmente dos Velvetines! Para quem não conhece a
Lime Crime é uma marca fundada pela Doe Deere que sempre desejou ter
maquilhagem vibrante para combinar com as suas roupas.
No ano passado (mais ou menos por
esta altura), apareceu uma grande controvérsia direccionada à marca e à sua fundadora.
Toda a informação fornecida pelos clientes na loja online tinha sido roubada, e
inúmeras pessoas sofreram de fishing. Para piorar a situação, a Lime Crime foi
acusada de ter conhecimento da falha de segurança do site e não tomar medidas.
Todas as bloggers, youtubers e instagramers que conheço boicotaram a marca.
Deixaram de comprar produtos e de os mostrar nos blogs, canais ou páginas (....
assim muito resumidamente).
Mas eu sou do contra, e apesar de
reconhecer que esta marca é um pouco estranha, a minha curiosidade é maior.
Encontrei os Velvetines à venda numa loja inglesa, LoveMakeup, que vende um
monte de marcas com pagamento seguro e com uma entrega rápida. A primeira
compra que fiz foi em Abril do ano passado, meti as mãos nos cobiçados Cashmere e
Wicked (post aqui!), desta vez comprei um set de 3 batons lançados no dia dos
namorados.

Crime... I was always attracted to this brand, and even after all the drama I still follow
all their releases, specially when we are talking about the Velvetines! For
those that don’t know, Lime Crime is a brand founded by Doe Deere that always
wanted vibrant makeup to match her clothes.
Last
year there was a lot of talk about Lime
Crime and its founder. Basically all the personal information that you need to
fill to purchase on the oficial website was stolen, and a big number of people suffered credit card fraude. To make it worst, Lime Crime was accused of knowing
about the security fail and not taking measures. All the bloggers, youtubers and
instagramers that I know boycotted the brand. Everyone stopped buying their
products and featuring them on their posts, videos or pages.
But
I’m weird, and although I admit that the brand is a bit shady, my curiosity is
stronger than me. I found the Velvetines on a UK based store called LoveMakeup,
that sells a big range of brands with safe pay and fast shipping. The first
purchase that I’ve made was in Abril of last year, when I put my hands on the
very much wanted Cashmere and Wicked (post here), this time I got the valentines
day special limited edition set with 3 new shades.

31,50£ (aproximadamente 41€), ele trás 3 cores lindÃssimas: Cupid (um rosa médio
ligeiramente frio), True Love (um rosa choque super vibrante), Saint (um bordeaux escuro acastanhado).

called True Love Set and it costs 31,50£ (something like 41€), inside we have:
Cupid (a medum pink with slight cool undertones), True Love (a bright pink) and
Saint (a dark browny burgundy).

Eles são muito lÃquidos o que
torna difÃcil a aplicação. Secam rapidamente e não se mexem o dia inteiro! Eu
gosto muito deles, apesar de saber que muitas pessoas não vão gostar da
sensação de secura que eles dão. Prefiro 1000x estes batons do que os da LA
Splash apesar de saber que há quem os considere dupes.
Consegui notar também numa grande
melhoria na formula da cor mais escura. Eu adoro o meu Wicked, mas ele não é
opaco. Acabo sempre por não o usar tanto porque perco imenso tempo na
aplicação. A cor Saint por outro lado tem uma grande cobertura e seca
homogeneamente.
They
are very liquidy witch makes the application a bit tricky. They dry quickly and don't move all day! I really like
them, but I know that this formula might be to dry for some people. I prefer
Lime Crime 1000x more than the La Splash ones that everybody claims to have the
best dupes.
I noticed a great improvement in the formula
of the darkest shade. I love my Wicked, but it’s not a even shade. I always end
up not using it because I lose so much time trying to make it less patchy. The
shade Saint, on the other hand, has a great coverage and dries evenly.

comparados com outros batons lÃquidos conhecidos para terem uma melhor noção
das cores! Pessoalmente, gosto muito deles mas há batons mais acessÃveis e
baratos no mercado.

You
can see the Lime Crime Velvetines that I own next to the closest shade in my
collection just to get an idea of the actual color. Personally, I really like
them but there are cheaper and more accessible liquid lipsticks in the market right now.
