Pink Ivory Makeup

Eu já falei desta marca no início do ano, quando comprei uns kits de natal para peles secas a sensíveis (aqui!). Adorei os produtos e fiquei fan da marca americana. Claro está, eu tinha que experimentar mais qualquer coisa, e é isso que fiz! Hoje vou vos mostrar a linha para peles oleosas, chamada Skin Rescue, e posso vos contar que fiquei ainda mais viciada, se é que isso é possível.

Comprei o Skin Rescue Trio por cerca de 21€ na BeautyBay perto da pascoa, e ficou a ganhar pó, a até pouco tempo. Depois de uma semana a testar um BB Cream horrível (que ainda nem sei se merece post ou não), tive mesmo que procurar ajuda extra para combater as borbulhinhas, e foi aí que surgiu a oportunidade de testar estes produtos.

I’ve talked about this brand on the beginning of the year when I got the Christmas sets for dry and sensitive skins. I loved the products and I became a big fan of this american brand. So this time I’ll show you the range for oily skins, called Skin Rescue, and I can tell that I became even more addicted, if that is even possible.

I got the Skin Rescue Trio for about 21€ on BeautyBay around Easter, and it has been collecting dust until very recently. After a week testing an horrible BB Cream (that I don't even know if it deserves a post or not), I had to seek extra help to fight the new blemishes, and that was when the opportunity to test these products appeared.

Deep Cleanser with red Clay – Ele limpa a pele sem a deixar ressequida ou oleosa. É vermelho e tem um cheirinho super agradável. Não faz tanta espuma como eu gostava, mas é isso que o torna tão gentil, principalmente para peles em “stress”.

Deep Cleanser with red Clay – It cleans the skin without leaving it tight or oily. It’s red and it has a very pleasant scent. It doesn't ladder like I would want it to, but that is what makes it so gentle, specially for “stressed” skin.

Blemish Patrol Pads – No meu tempo de adolescente usava um super parecido da Clearasil que fazia mais mal do que bem. Mas este é algo de especial. Acredito que é este produto que me ajudou a combater as borbulhas tão rapidamente e já estou a contemplar comprar uma embalagem nova quando esta chegar ao fim. A marca recomenda o uso 2 vezes ao dia, mas eu aplico só à noite depois do cleanser, para não massacrar a pele. Ardeu nas primeiras utilizações, mas agora não sinto nada! Acordo sempre com a sele super macia e visivelmente mais uniforme.

BlemishPatrol Pads – When I was a teenager I used one just like it from Clearasil that did not help me at all. But this one is something special. I believe that this was the product that made my blemishes disappear so fast and I’m already contemplating getting a new tub when this one runs out. The brand recommends that we use 2 pads a day, but I just apply it at night after cleansing my face, so it’s not as harsh. It burned a little on the first times that I used it, but now I don't feel anything! I wake up every morning with baby soft skin.

Daily Face Cream – Um creme hidratante diário, sem óleo, perfeito para balançar qualquer tratamento de acne. Aplico-o de manha e noite e já tenho outro a caminho da minha casa. Entra na pele instantaneamente, hidrata sem me deixar gordurosa e não me causa qualquer reacção.

DailyFace Cream – an hydrating face cream, with no oil, perfect to balance any acne treatment. I apply it on the morning and at night, and I already have another one ordered. It sinks in instantly, moisturizes, it doesn't leave me greasy and it doesn’t cause any reaction on my skin.

Tenho pena da First Aid Beauty não existir nas nossas farmácias, pois é uma marca realmente boa. Se tiverem interesse nestes produtos podem dar uma olhadela na LookFantastic (mas olhem que os preços são muito inflacionados, procurem sempre um cupão de desconto), porque pelos vistos já não estão disponíveis na BeautyBay. Para além destes produtos recomendo imenso o balsamo de lábios! É TOP!

Apparently these particular ones are not available on BeautyBay at the moment. I also recommend that you try out the lip balm! It’s amazing!

Hoje vou vos mostrar um dos famosos WaterColour Liquid Blushers do Daniel Sandler. Houve uma altura que todas Youtubers e Bloggers Britânicas andavam viciadas neste produto, mas como não sou a maior faz de blushes líquidos nunca lhe prestei atenção, até que chegou o dia em que eu precisava de adicionar qualquer coisa ao carrinho para evitar os portes.

Today I’m going to show you one of the famous WaterColour Liquid Blushers from Daniel Sandler. There was a time where all British Youtubers and Bloggers were addicted to this product, but I’m since I’m not the biggest fan of liquid blushes I never paid much attention to it… until it came the time do add something to the cart to avoid paying extra for shipping.

Comprei na CultBeauty por 15.50 £ (perto de 17,70 €) lá para Maio, mas só nos últimos meses é que o pude experimentar a sério. No frasco de plástico temos o pigmento suspenso no óleo, que depois de agitados criam um blush de acabamento natural com uma duração incrível.

Comprei a cor Cherub, uma das mais conhecidas da marca por ser um rosinha neutro que imita a cor de bochechas coradas. Confesso que fiquei um pouco reticente ao inicio, já que rejeito tudo o que são óleos na minha cara, mas este blush não me causa qualquer reacção.

Eu meto umas gotinhas nas costas da mão e com a ajuda da Stippling Brush da Real Techniques espalho o produto na pele. Anima a tez de um modo natural sem se mexer durante horas.

I got is on CultBeauty for 15.50£ (close to 17,70 €), back in May and I’ve only really tried it out on the last couple of months. On the plastic bottle we get the pigment suspended in oil, that when mixed create the most natural looking blush with an amazing lasting power.

I got Cherub, one of the most popular shades from this brand for being a neutral pink that compliments every complexion perfectly. I confess that I was a bit scared at first, since I avoid everything that is slightly oil related, but this blush doesn’t break me out.

I apply a couple of drops to the back of my hand, and with the Stippling Brush from Real Techniques, I pick up a small amount of product that I work onto my skin. It lives up the skin in a natural way and it doesn’t move for hours.

Uma marca de batom líquidos que nunca me desiludiu é a Coloured Raine. Ela está à venda no site da BeautyBay e cada batom ronda os 18€, tirando umas alturas especiais quando a marca está com 20% de desconto.

Another liquid lipstick brand that never disappointed me was Coloured Raine. You can find this brand on BeautyBay and each lipstick costs around 18€, except on the few times that it is on sale with 20% off.

Se vocês são fans hardcore de batons líquidos então precisam de experimentar os Matte Liquid Paints. Não é a formula mais confortável de todas, mas é a mais duradoura que experimentei, tem cores incríveis, é fácil de aplicar e fica perfeita com uma aplicação.

Comprei as cores 24seven e Sorbet desta vez! A primeira é a minha favorita, consegue ser um nude terracota mas rosa ao mesmo tempo, basicamente é a cor que uso quando não sei o que usar, recomendo a qualquer pessoa! Já a cor Sorbet é um rosa framboesa perfeito para o inverno.

If you’re an hardcore fan of liquid lipsticks then you need to try the Matte Liquid Paints. It’s not the most comfortable formula out there, but it’s the most long lasting that I've tried, it has amazing shades, it's easy to work with and it looks perfect with just one application.

I got the shades 24seven and Sorbet this time! The first one is my favorite, it can be a terracota nude and a pink at the same time. It is the color that I pick up when I don’t know what to use and I recommend this shade to everyone! Now the shade Sorbet is an amazing berry pink perfect for the winter.

A outra cor que tenho deles é a famosa Mars (review aqui), que é parecidíssima à Lolita da Kat Von D (post aqui) Adoraria comprar outros batons desta marca, mas parece-me tudo fora da minha “comfort zone” com a excepção dos vermelhos, que sinceramente, não me fazem falta.

The other shade that I own is the famous Mars (review here), that looks just like Kat Von D’s Lolita (post here). I would love to get other shades from this brand, but everything looks outside of my comfort zone with the exception of the reds, but honestly, I have enough of those already.

Quem é que ainda não viu a colecção de Glow Kits que a Anastasia Beverly Hills lançou nos últimos meses? Eu consegui meter as mãos no Gleam Kit, a suposta versão mais clara de todos (e a mais rosa também)! Comprei esta palette de 4 iluminadores gigantes (com 7.4 gr de produto cada), por pouco mais que 40€ na BeautyBay.

Who hasn’t seen the new collection of Glow Kits that Anastasia Beverly Hills released on the last few months? I was able to get my hands on the Gleam Kit, the supposedly lightest one of all (and the most pink one too)! This palette comes with 4 huge highlighters (with 7.4 gr of product each), for a little more than 40€ on BeautyBay.

A primeira coisa que notei quando meti os dedos dentro das pans é que a cor do iluminador é muito mais clara na pele do que na embalagem. Deste glow kit consigo usar as 2 cores mais clarinhas como iluminador, e outras duas ficam esquecidas.

Crushed Pearl parece ser um prateado com um brilho rosa na embalagem, mas é uma versão muito menos frosty na pele e até parece mais um ouro branco do que propriamente um prateado.

Starburst parece um autêntico blush, extremamente parecido com a Cindy Lou do The Balm, mas na pele é um champagne que se difunde e ilumina na perfeição sem ser demasiado rosa.

Já a cor Hard Candy é um excelente dupe de 2 das minhas sombras favoritas: Mai Tai da Makeup Geek, e a 823 da Hean. Tem um duo chrome muito lindo que não serve para iluminar a minha pele e também não é o tipo de blush topper que me agrada… por isso nem lhe toco.

Por fim temos a cor Mimosa, outro iluminador que vai ficar intacto dentro da paleta por ser demasiado bronze.

The fist thing I noticed when I stuck my fingers in the pans, was that the highlight shade is much lighter on the skin than on the packaging. From this glow kit I can only use the 2 lightest shades as a highlighter, the other 2 are forgotten.

Crushed Pearl looks like a silver with a pink shift in the pan, but it’s a much less frosty version on the skin and it even looks more like a pale gold than a silver.

Starburst looks like a blush on the pan, extremely close to the Cindy Lou from The Balm, but on the skin is a light champagne that melts onto the skin and highlights without being to pink.

Now the color Hard Candy is an excellent dupe of my 2 favorite eyeshadows: Mai Tai from Makeup Geek, and the 823 from Hean. It has a gorgeous duo chrome that does not work to highlight my skin and it’s not my favorite blush topper… so I don't even touch it.

Lastly we have Mimosa, another highlighter that will stay intact inside the palette for being to bronze.

A opinião geral destes iluminadores é que eles são fantásticos, têm uma qualidade excelente e por o preço de 1 (daqueles bem caros), compramos 4. Pois, eu não discordo com esse facto, mas a verdade é que eu só vou dar uso a 2 iluminadores (e secalhar no pico do inverno só vou conseguir usar o mais claro). Acho que estes kits são óptimos para quem tem uma pele média e adora iluminadores, ou então para maquilhadoras profissionais, mas para quem não é grande fan desta moda ficava servida com um simples iluminador num compacto que possa ir para todo o lado… porque nem é assim tão fácil acabar um produto destes.

The general opinion on these highlighters is that they are amazing, they have great quality and for the price of 1 (a really expensive 1), you get 4. On that I can’t disagree, but the truth is that I’m only going to use 2 of them (and maybe by the middle of winter I’ll only use the lightest one). I think that these kits are great for a girl that loves highlighters and has a medium toned skin, or for a professional makeup artist… but for those that are not really into this trend maybe a simple compact, that can travel anywhere, should be enough… because these are not that easy to hit pan on.

Se viram o meu post com as comprinhas da Tarte Cosmetics (aqui), então já estavam à espera que eu fosse falar individualmente sobre cada palette… e o facto de eu escolher a Tartelette in Bloom como a primeira a receber atenção, diz vos qual é a minha favorita.

If you saw the post about my Tarte Cosmetics Haul (here), then you were expecting me to talk about each palette individually… and the fact that I picked the Tartelette in Bloom as the first one, should tell you which one is my favorite.

Bem, de um modo muito prático, eu vou vos dizer porque é que precisam desta paleta na vossa vida:

Packaging Goals – Pois no mundo da maquilhagem o exterior conta, e ele é lindo. Super girly, rosa, floral, perfeito para fotografar ou admirar numa segunda-feira à noite quando tudo corre mal.
A organização – Temos 3 linhas com 4 sombras: a de iluminar, a cor para a pálpebra (shimmery para dar aquele POP), a cor de transição do côncavo e a cor para aprofundar ou definir o olhar. Digam lá que não é a organização perfeita!
Quentinha – Nada melhor que um look quentinho nos olhos em qualquer altura do ano.
Sombras incríveis – São poeirentas, mas têm pigmento e esfumam na perfeição. Como já disse aqui mais vezes, esses são os meus pontos favoritos nas sombras.
Para viajar – Para além de terem tudo o que precisam numa só palette, têm também um espelho enorme que fica na posição que quiserem (ao contrario das Naked), e a embalagem é fina, resistente e compacta.
Cheira a chocolate – Pois… “suspicious”, tem aquele cheiro de cacao que já conhecemos das Chocolate Bars da Too Faced mas menos poderoso.
Porque sim!

So, in a very practical way, I’m going to tell you why you need this palette in your life:

Packaging Goals – Yeah, in the makeup world the outside counts, and this one is beautiful. Super girly, pink, floral and perfect to photograph or admire on a Monday night when everything goes wrong.
The organization – We have 3 lines of 4 shadows: the highlight, the lid shade (shimmery to make a statement), that transition shade, and a dark color to deepen up the eyes. Isn’t that the most perfect organization?
Warm – Nothing better than a warm eye look any day on the year.
Incredible shadows – They’re dusty, but have pigment and blend perfectly, like I’ve said many times here, those are my favorite kind of eyeshadows.
To travel – No only does it have everything you need in a palette, it also has as gigantic mirror that stays up (not like the Naked Palettes), and the package is thin, resistant and compact.
Smells like chocolate – Yeah… Suspicious... it has that cocoa scent that we’re familiar from the Chocolate Bars, but less powerful.
Just Because!

Basicamente é isto. Gosto muito, muito, muito dela. Só para terem uma noção real eu usei-a durante 4 semanas seguidas sem tocar em outra paleta qualquer, e acreditem quando digo que isso não acontece comigo.

This is basically it. I really, really, really like it. Just so you can have a real idea, I I’ve used it for 4 weeks straight, without touching another palette, and believe me when I tell that that never happens.

A ColourPop é uma marca americana de maquilhagem que, até há bem pouco tempo, era apenas disponível nos EUA.

Começaram inicialmente por criar sombras de olhos de todas as cores e acabamentos, e agora já tem uma grande colecção de blushes, iluminadores, bronzeadores, lápis, delineadores em gel, produtos de sobrancelhas e claro… batons. Os mais famosos são os Ultra Matte Lipsticks, que segundo os rumores, têm a mesma formula e embalagem que os batons da Kylie pelo facto de serem produzidos na mesma fabrica. Quanto a isso não sei, e sinceramente, não tenho a intenção de investigar tão cedo…

O problema desta loja é que o valor de portes ronda os 25 USD e é aqui que me surge aquele dilema de “compro 50 kg de maquilhagem para render os portes?” ou “encomendo o mínimo para não ter que dar um rim à alfândega?”. Eu optei pela primeira opção e, claro está, paguei 25€ extra ao carteiro. A minha encomenda demorou 6 dias a ser expedida do armazém, em 4 dias chegou a Portugal, e passou umas belas férias de mais de 1 mês na alfândega.

ColourPop is an american makeup brand that, until recently, was only available in the USA.

They started by creating eyeshadows in all shades and finishes, but now they have a gigantic collection of blushes, highlighters, bronzers, pencils, gel eyeliners, eyebrow products and of course… lipsticks.The most famous ones are the Ultra Matte Lipsticks, that according to some rumors, have the same formula and packaging as Kylie Jenner, for the simple fact that they are made in the same factory. I don't know anything about that, and I don't plan on investigating for now…

The biggest problem of this store is that the shipping costs round the 25 USD and because of that, I have to deal with the dilema of “should I buy 50 kg of makeup to take advantage of the shipping” or “should I order the minimum possible so I don't have to give a kidney to customs”. I chose the last option and ended up paying 25 € of customs charges. My order was shipped in 6 days, took 4 days to arrive in Portugal and spend a nice 1 month vacay on customs.

Hoje vou vos só mostrar os Lippie Stix, umas das primeiras criações desta marca. Estes meninos custam 5 USD e estão disponíveis em 7 acabamentos diferentes: Pearlized, Matte, Creme, Matte X, Sheer, Satin e Glossy. Eles têm um cheirinho suave e são muito confortáveis. A embalagem é no estilo de caneta, em plástico branco, com as letras em holográfico… mas já ouvi dizer que elas não se aguentam muito tempo.

O primeiro é o famoso Lumière, criado em colaboração com a Kathleen Lights. É uma cor de boca linda, aquele rosa médio com um pouco de mauve, e tem um acabamento mate apesar de não ser totalmente mate.

Comprei também o Juice Bar. Nunca ouvi falar desta cor, mas como tinha um acabamento sheer eu decidi experimentar… E no final de contas, este é o meu favorito. Ele faz me lembrar os batons de cieiro da Labello da gama Fruity Shine. É um batom super hidratante com pouco pigmento, mas o suficiente para animar o rosto.

Today I’m going to show of the Lippie Stix, one of the first creations of this brand. These babies cost 5 USD and are available in 7 different finishes: Pearlized, Matte, Creme, Matte X, Sheer, Satin and Glossy. They have a soft sweet scent and they’re super comfortable. The packaging is like a pen made of white plastic with holographic lettering… but I’ve heard that those letters won't last long.

The first one I got is Lumière, created in collaboration with Kathleen Lights. It's a your "lips but better" shade, a medium mauve pink with a matte finish, although not completely matte.

I also got Juice Bar. I’ve never heard of this shade but, as it turns out, it’s my favorite. It has a sheer finish and it kind of reminds me of the lip balms from Labello and their Fruity Shine rage. It’s a very hydrating lipstick, not to pigmented but enough to live up the complexion.
