Eu disse que não ia comprar mais nada da Morphe.

Eu prometi a mim mesma que não ia cair na hype e ceder mais uma vez à Jaclyn Hill.

Mas a BeautyBay estava a fazer um grande cagaçal com posts atrás de posts, listas de early acess e filas de espera que tínhamos que estar só para poder adicionar a palete ao carrinho. Toda esta pressão de “VAI ESGOTAR E VAI DEMORAR ATÉ VOLTAR A ESTAR DISPONÍVEL” misturada com a review da Samantha Ravndahl, acabou por me dar um momento de fraqueza que me custou perto de 40€.

I said that I was not going to buy anything from Morphe.

I promised myself that I would not fall into the hype and give in to Jaclyn Hill again.

But, BeautyBay was posting all the time about the release, they even made an early access list and waiting queues just to be able to add the pallet to the cart. All this pressure of “IT’S GOING TO SELL OUT AND IT WILL BE A LONG TIME UNTIL IT’S AVAILABLE AGAIN” mixed with Samantha Ravndahl's review, made me have a moment of weakness that cost me around € 40.

Claro que umas 2 semanas depois de eu ter a Jaclyn Hill Palette, chega outro drama por andarem a despachar packaging antigo enquanto as paletes novas que vão para o lançamento da Ulta tem uma qualidade superior. Mas pronto, é a vida e sinceramente já nada me espanta vindo da Morphe.

Of course, about 2 weeks after I got the Jaclyn Hill Palette, another drama appeared. Morphe was trying to get rid of the old palette packaging while the new improved version of the palette goes to Ulta for its launch. But that's life, and frankly I expect everything from Morphe.

Quanto à palete, ela é boa. Dizem que tem mais qualidade do que às típicas paletes de 35, mas eu não noto grande diferença, a não ser no packaging que é de cartão com fecho magnético em vez do plástico preto que parece uma caixa de aguarelas das lojas dos 300 (90’s kids will know what I mean).

Os mates são pigmentados e macios, fáceis de espalhar com uma boa duração na pele. Os shimmers são oleosos para poderem ter aquele efeito metálico que vêm nos swatches. São a última bolacha do pacote? Não, principalmente para mim que tenho sombras aos pontapés cá por casa.

Esta palete sofre do mesmo mal das outras da Morphe, existe zonas onde as cores se repetem. Temos pelo menos 5 sombras de transição que são praticamente idênticas na pele. Não sei se é por a Jaclyn querer dar às suas seguidoras 5 versões de castanho diferente, ou se é só para encher os 35 espaços.

Tenho o mesmo problema com os azuis e roxo. Quem segue a Jaclyn sabe que looks com essas cores não são a onda dela mas mesmo assim estão na paleta. Será para conseguirmos distinguir a Jaclyn Palette das outras? Ou é outra vez para encher? Cá para mim foi para evitar termos 35 shades of brown.

The palette is good. It’s said that it has more quality than the typical 35 palettes, but I don’t notice a big difference except in the packaging that is card board with a magnetic closure instead of the black plastic that looks like a box of watercolours from the stores of the pound store.

The mates are pigmented and soft, easy to blend with a good lasting powder on the skin. The shimmers are oily so they can have that metallic effect that comes in the swatches. These are good shadows, but not amazing, and not worth the hype surrounding them.

This palette suffers from the same, as the other ones from Morphe. There are parts of the palette where the colours repeat themselves. We have at least 5 transition shades that are virtually identical on the skin. I do not know if it's because Jaclyn wants to give her followers 5 different browns, or if it's just to fill the 35 spaces.

I have the same problem with blues and violet. Who follows Jaclyn knows that looks with these colours are not her favourite but they appear on this palette. Is it for us to distinguish the Jaclyn Palette from the all the others on instagram? Or is it again to fill it up? Maybe it was the only way for them to avoid releasing a 35 shades of brown palette.

Sim, estou salty. Principalmente comigo, porque eu sabia perfeitamente o que estava a comprar e mesmo assim fui atrás do rebanho. Esta palete é cara, grande de mais e com cores repetidas, mas não há como negar que as sombras têm qualidade e se têm uma coleção pequena ela pode ser uma grande ajuda.

Agora sim, não volto a comprar mais nada da Morphe. Fica prometido.

Yes, I'm salty. Especially with myself because I knew perfectly well what I was buying and even then I followed everyone else. This palette is expensive, it’s too big and with repeated shades, but there is no denying that the eyeshadows have quality, and if you have a small collection this palette can be a great help.

Now, I can definitely say that I will not buy Morphe again. It’s a promise.

Finalmente chegamos ao fim do meu top 5, e para acabar em grande tinha que ser com os meus produtos de lábios favoritos!

We finally reached the end of my top 5 of 2017. So, to finish in a high note I’m going to show you my favourite lip products!

Lime Crime Velvetine in Riot – Digamos que é o meu número 6, mas como isto é um top 5 vou-lhe chamar de entrada extra. Adoro a cor, a fórmula e a duração. Se adoram batons líquidos precisam de experimentar os Velvetines da Lime Crime (mais aqui).

5. Huda Liquid Matte Bombshell – É dos batons líquidos mais confortáveis que já usei, tem uma boa duração e a cor é incrível. Este tinha que estar no top 5 (mais aqui).

4. Mac Lipstick in Mehr – Um dos meus batons mais usados este ano. É um rosa médio com um pouco de roxo. Fica lindo no dia-a-dia, e anda sempre comigo na mala (mais aqui).

3. Nars Velvet Glide Lipstick in Bound – São quase um gloss extremamente aveludado que não cola de todo. Esta é uma cor de boca que dá um pouco de hidratação e brilho aos lábios, mas infelizmente não dura muito (mais aqui).

2. Mac Lipstick in Honeylove – O tempo que eu perdi por não ceder e comprar de uma vez este batom. Eu pensava que ia ser muito claro na minha pele, mas afinal morro de amores por ele. É um nude quente com acabamento mate, perfeito para usar sozinho ou para aclarar outros batons. Este também anda comigo sempre na mala (mais aqui).

1. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Duo – Eu tinha que espetar aqui um delineador de lábios e esta foi a maneira que encontrei. Adoro esta combinação, mas mesmo sem o lápis, este é sem dúvida o meu batom favorito de 2017 (mais aqui e aqui).

Lime Crime Velvetine in Riot - Let's just say that this one my number 6, but as this is a top 5, I'll call it the extra entry. I love colour, the formula and the lasting power. If you are liquid lipstick fanatic, then you need to try out the Lime Crime Velvetines (post here).

5. Huda Liquid Matte in Bombshell – It’s the most comfortable liquid lipstick I have ever tried. It has a good lasting power and this shade is incredible. This had to be in my top 5 (post here).

4. Mac Lipstick in Mehr – One of my most used lipsticks this year. It is a medium pink with a little mauve mixed. It’s a beautiful your lips but better lipstick and I always keep it in my bag (post here).

3. Nars Velvet Glide Lipstick in Bound - They are like an extremely velvety gloss that if far from sticky. This is another your lips but better shade that moisturizes the lips, but unfortunately it doesn’t last long (post here).

2. Mac Lipstick in Honeylove - The time I lost for not buying this lipstick. I thought that it would be too light on me, but in the end, I fell in love with the shade. It is a warm nude with a matte finish, perfect to wear alone or to lighten up other lipsticks. I also keep this lipstick in my bag (post here).

1. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Duo - I had to find a way to add a lip liner to this top, and this was the way. I love this combination, but even without the pencil, this is undoubtedly my favourite lipstick of 2017 (post here and here).

Eu não sou a maior fan de bronzeadores ou contornos, mas este ano esforcei me mais do que o normal para conseguir usar alguns. Já no departamento de iluminadores, não tenho qualquer problema de falta de vontade em usar um diferente todos os dias (e reaplicar várias vezes por dia).

Aqui estão todos os meus iluminadores e bronzeadores favoritos de 2017.

I'm not the biggest fan of bronzers and contours, but this year I worked harder than usual to use up some. Now, in the highlighting department, I have no problem. I don’t mind using a different highlighter every day, or even reapply them several times a day.

Here are all my favourite highlighters and sunscreens for 2017.

5. Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighters – Para quem não costuma usar iluminadores em creme, eu até tenho dado muito uso a estes meninos. Se gostam de um efeito molhado na vossa pele, então estes iluminadores são os vossos melhores amigos. São fáceis de aplicar e ficam lindos na pele, principalmente em looks de no makeup, makeup (post aqui).

4. Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Light – O pó de contorno de todos os contornos. A cor e a fórmula são tudo aquilo que ouviram falar, mas é muito caro. Eu ainda não lhe dei o amor que merece, mas sempre que quero um pouco de definição é o primeiro produto que agarro (post aqui).

3. Mac Natural Skin Finish Natural na cor Medium Dark – Depois de passar semanas a ver vídeos de pan projects, decidi tirar este menino da gaveta e usá-lo até ao fim. Para mim serve como bronzeador, mas tem dias em que fica um pooooouco laranja, mesmo assim é fácil de esbater o excesso. Sei que não o voltava a comprar, mas a verdade é que há meses que sai da minha mesa.

2. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer – Este é outro produto que quero usar até ao fim. Adoro este iluminador e gostava de o voltar a comprar, mas por agora quero ver uma pan para ficar feliz.

1. Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder Highlighter in 01 – O nome dele é contraditórios, mas desde a primeira vez que usei este iluminador eu percebi que ele era algo de especial. É tão natural na pele mas nota-se claramente, a cor é linda e assenta na perfeição sem dar ênfase a textura ou poros. É o meu iluminador das ocasiões especiais.

5. Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighters - For someone that doesn’t use cream highlights, I've given a lot of use to these babies. If you like a wet skin kinda look to your skin, then these highlights will be your best friends. They are easy to apply and look beautiful on the skin, especially in no makeup, makeup looks (more here).

4. Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Light - The contour of all contours. The hype is real with this product. It’s the perfect shade and formula, but it’s a bit on the pricey side. I still haven’t given it the love it deserves, but whenever I want a little definition this is the first product I grab (more here).

3. Mac Natural Skin Finish Natural Medium Dark - After spending weeks watching pan project videos, I decided to get this boy out of the drawer and use it up. I use it as a bronzer, but there are days when it gets a little orange on me, even so, it is easy to blend the excess. I know I would never repurchase it again, but the truth is that I've been using it consistently for months.

2. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer – This is another product I want to use up. I love this highlight and I would like to buy it again, but for now, all I want is to see a little pan to be happy.

1. Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder Highlighter in 01 – Its name is a bit weird, but since the first time I used this highlight I knew that it was something special. It’s the most natural and flattering thing. The shade is beautiful and the formula sets perfectly without giving emphasis to the texture or pores. It's my highlight for special occasions.

Tenho reparado que com o passar do tempo vou abdicando mais da seleção do blush. Antes, escolher o blush perfeito que complementa-se a sombra de olhos e o batom era um dos meus passos favoritos, agora opto sempre pelos mesmos 2 ou 3, ou agarro numa paleta e faço uma mistura.

Assim, foi bastante fácil escolher os meus 5 blushes favoritos de 2017.

I have noticed that over time, I am giving up the blush selection. Before, choosing the perfect blush that complemented the eyeshadow and lipstick was one of my favourite steps, now I always grab the same ones, or I pick up a palette and mix all of the shades.

So it was fairly easy to choose my 5 favourite blushes from 2017.

5. Tarte Blushing Bride – Voltei a tirar o blushing bride da gaveta este inverno. É uma cor linda e dura o dia inteiro sem se mexer! Adoro usa-lo quando me quero aventurar com o batom, pois como sou tão pálida tenho tendência a parecer meio emo se usar batom escuro.

4. Benefit Cheek Parade – Usei e abusei dela no verão, mas agora anda de férias. Estas paletas da Benefit compensam muito mais do que comprar os blushes individualmente, mas depois são chatas para arrumar ou levar na mala (post aqui).

3. Nars Sex appeal – Eu sei que não parece nada de especial, mas consegue dar me um ar de “viva” sem passar para o nível de “palhaça”. Não há como enganar, ele assenta lindamente e complementa muito bem o meu tom de pele (post no forno).

2. Nars Narsissist Unfiltered II –A Nars tem blushes lindíssimos mas puxados para a minha carteira, então quando lançaram esta paleta eu nem hesitei. Ela está sempre em cima da minha mesa (post aqui).

1. Tarte Exposed – The best of the best. A melhor formula, a melhor cor e a melhor embalagem. Para onde eu vou o Exposed vai! Aposto que este blush vai ser o meu favorito durante muitos anos (post aqui).

5. Tarte Blushing Bride - I took my blushing bride out of the drawer this winter. It's a beautiful shade that lasts all day without moving! I love wearing it when I want to venture out with my lipstick. Since I'm very pale, I tend to look like a emo wannabe if I wear dark lipstick with no blush.

4. Benefit Cheek Parade - I used and abused this palette in the summer, but now it's on vacation. These Benefit palettes are really worth your money, but they are hard to pack or to carry in your bag (post here).

3. Nars Sex Appeal - I know it doesn’t look anything special, but it gives me a "alive" look without crossing over the "clown" stage. This is a no brainer blush, it rests beautifully on the skin and it complements my skin tone perfectly (post in the oven).

2. Nars Narsissist Unfiltered II – Nars makes gorgeous blushes but they are a bit expensive for my taste, so when they launched this palette I didn’t even hesitate. It’s always on my desk (post here).

1. Tarte Exposed – The best of the best. The best formula, the best shade and the best packaging. Wherever I go, Exposed is with me! I bet this blush will be my favourite for many years (post here).

Passei grande parte do ano a conter-me ao máximo para não comprar todos os lançamentos de paletas que apareciam. Em primeiro lugar porque tenho MUITAS, e em segundo porque vou tendo menos tempo para brincar com elas. O meu esforço foi todo em vão porque mal chegou a altura do natal, eu perdi a cabeça e comprei umas amiguinhas novas (que não estão aqui. Ainda precisam de ir aos treinos).

Estas são as minhas paletas favoritas de 2017.

I spent the better part of the year holding back as much as possible so I wouldn’t buy all the palettes that popped up. Firstly, because I have A LOT OF THEM, and second because I'm having less and less time to play with them. My effort was all in vain because when Christmas came I lost my shit and bought some new ones (that are not here. They still need some more loving).

These are my favourite pallets of 2017.

5. Tarte Tartelette in Bloom – A escolhida para todas as viagens. É compacta, tem um bom espelho e tem tudo o que eu preciso para fazer looks sem me chatear. Ainda ponderei comprar a versão Toasted no final do ano, mas esta serve perfeitamente para mim (post aqui).

4. Mac Eyeshadow x15 Warm Neutral Palette – A minha tentação mal a Look Fantastic começou a vender produtos da Mac. Havia uma grande discrepância de preços quando comparados com a nossa loja portuguesa então aproveitei para comprar esta menina por menos de metade do seu valor.

Passado mais de 6 meses consigo vos dizer que não me arrependo nada de a ter comprado. A Mac pode não ter as minhas sombras favoritas, mas funcionam lindamente e sinto-me sempre inspirada quando pego nesta paleta. No entanto, não a recomendo pelo preço original de 122€ (post aqui).

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance – Não há amor como o que eu tenho por esta paleta. Não me atrevo a tocar-lhe quando quero looks naturais porque já sei que vou sair de casa com um smoky eye laranja. Mas quando tenho tempo adoro puxar dela. É fácil de esfumar, as cores complementam-se lindamente e o pigmento está lá. Se ainda não a têm, não sei do que estão à espera (post aqui).

2. Nars Narsissist Loaded Eyeshadow Palette – A minha compra favorita do ano. Esta só não rouba o lugar à Tartelette in Bloom nas viagens porque tem vidro por fora. Ela é extremamente versátil com uma fórmula incrível. Adoro as sombras da Nars e mal posso esperar para comprar outra paleta desta marca (post aqui).

1. Z Palette – Não falha. Todos os anos o lugar número 1 é para as minhas Z Palettes. Desta vez, troquei as minhas de tamanho Large (de 28 sombras), por uma Extra Large (de 35 sombras). Em termos práticos prefiro muito mais esta opção, pois escolhi as minhas favoritas e completei a minha Life Palette… por outro, empurrei sombras boas para o fundo da gaveta. A minha ideia é ir rodando o stock para não deixar nada para trás mas até agora, isso não está a correr muito bem.

5. Tarte Tartelette in Bloom - The chosen one for all my trips. It’s compact, it has a good mirror and it has everything I need to make any look without fuss. I pondered buying the Toasted version at the end of the year, but this one is enough for me (post here).

4. Mac Eyeshadow x15 Warm Neutral Palette - My temptation when Look Fantastic became an official Mac Cosmetics retailer. There was a large price discrepancy when compared to our Portuguese store so I took advantage and I bought this palette for less than half of the price.

More than 6 months later, I can tell you that I don’t regret buying this at all. Mac shadows are not my favourite, but they work beautifully and I always feel inspired when I pick up this palette. However, I don’t recommend getting it for the original price, 122 € (post here).

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance - There is no love like what I feel for this palette. I don’t dare to touch it when I want natural look because I already know that I'm going to leave the house with an orange smoky eye. But, when I have the time, I love playing with it. It’s easy to blend, the shades complement each other beautifully and the pigment is incredible. If you still don’t own this palette, I don’t know what you're waiting for (post here).

2. Nars Narsissist Loaded Eyeshadow Palette - My favourite purchase of the year. The only complaint that I have is that the mirror on the outside scares me a lot, so I don’t travel with it. It’s an extremely versatile palette with an amazing formula. I love Nars eye shadows and I cannot wait to buy another palette from this brand (post here).

1. My Life Palette – Every year... Every year the first place is for my Z Palettes. This time, I exchanged my Large size ones (of 28 shadows), for an Extra Large (of 35 shadows). In practical terms, I prefer this option much more since I now I have my favourite shadows in one place ... but on the other hand, I pushed aside good shadows. My idea was to switch them so I wouldn’t leave any behind, but so far my plan isn’t working very well.

Ando cada vez mais obcecada com as minhas sobrancelhas, ao ponto de a maioria de este top 5 ser composto por produtos para elas. Aqui estão os meus produtos favoritos de olhos e sobrancelhas.

I am getting more and more obsessed with my eyebrows, to the point that most of this top 5 is made up of brow products. Without further ado, here are my favourite eye and eyebrow products.

5. Benefit Goof Proof Pencil – Destronou o meu favorito da Kiko e tudo se deve à sua spooli. Em termos de produto, acreditem que a diferença não compensa os 20€ a mais, mas a escova para pentear as sobrancelhas é muito melhor na minha opinião. Voltaria a comprar? Só se fosse por um grande desconto.

4. Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel – Preguiça num tubo. Querem preencher as falhas das sobrancelhas e não têm tempo ou vontade? 20 Segundos depois a essence salvou o dia. Este gel não fixa os pelinhos, apenas ajuda com a sua definição. A melhor parte é que custa pouco mais que 3€.

3. Colourpop Super Shock Shadows – Hello glitter! São as minhas melhores amigas quando quero um look mais tcharan sem grande esforço (post aqui).

2. Benefit Ready Set Brow – O gel que fixa as sobrancelhas o dia todo. Eu tinha encontrado o meu holy grail no ano passado quando experimentei o famosíssimo Clear Brow Gel da Anastasia Beverly Hills, mas como a ABH anda a aumentar os preços acabei por usar e abusar deste ao ponto de se tornar o meu favorito.

1. Tarte Mascaras – Eu não acredito que seja preciso gastar muito dinheiro para ter boas mascaras de pestanas, mas a verdade é que já experimentei três da Tarte, e todas me surpreenderam! Em minha defesa comprei-as com desconto ou em períodos de promoções, but still, se estão interessadas numa mascara de pestanas nova, a Tarte merece uma hipótese.

5. Benefit Goof Proof Pencil – It dethroned my favourite eyebrow pencil from Kiko and it’s all down to the spooli. In terms of product, I don’t believe that the 20 € difference is worth it, but the brush that combs the eyebrows is much better in my opinion. Would I buy it again? Only for with a big discount.

4. Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel – Laziness in a tube. Do you want to fill in your eyebrows and you don’t have the time or the will? 20 Seconds later and essence saved the day. This gel doesn’t set the hairs, it only helps to define them. The best part is that it costs little over € 3.

3. Colourpop Super Shock Shadows - Hello glitter! These are my best friends when I want a more WOW look without the effort (post here).

2. Benefit Ready Set Brow – This gel sets my eyebrow hairs all day long. I had found my holy grail last year when I tried the famous Clear Brow Gel from Anastasia Beverly Hills, but as ABH keeps increasing their prices, I ended up using and abusing my Benefit mini to the point of it becoming my favourite.

1. Tarte Mascaras - I don’t believe in expensive mascaras, but the truth is that I've tried three from Tarte and they all surprised me! In my defence, I bought them at a discounted price or during the sales, but still, if you are interested in a new mascara, Tarte deserves a chance.

Há 3 anos atrás eu nem tinha produtos para preencher esta categoria, agora tenho produtos favoritos que nem cabem aqui. Estes são os meus produtos de rosto favoritos de 2017.

Three years ago I didn’t even have products to fill this category, now I have favourite products that don’t even fit in the 5 slots. These are my favorite complexion products of 2017.

5. Becca Multi Tasking Perfecting Powder – Não dava nada por este pó, mas a verdade é que estou a usá-lo com uma rapidez incrível. Parte porque gosto realmente dele, e parte porque desfaz-se como se fosse farinha quando lhe toco com o pincel. I still love it tho! (post aqui).

4. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation – Não dura muito tempo na pele, mas o seu aspecto inicial é perfeito. Esta foi a base que usei sempre que saí à noite, ela é natural ao mesmo tempo que cobre as minhas imperfeições. Best off all, adoro a cor desta base (post aqui).

3. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer – O corretor favorito de metade do mundo (até ao dia em que o Shape Tape da Tarte apareceu). Ele é bom, mas não é melhor que o numero 2 deste top, e com isso tenho tudo dito.

2. Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer – Este corretor de 5€ vale o seu dinheiro e muito mais. Ele é cremoso, fácil de espalhar, tem cobertura e assenta de um modo natural na pele (post aqui).

1. Tarte Rain Forest of the Sea Water Foundation – Se viram o meu post sobre esta base então não é surpresa que ela esteja no 1º lugar. É a minha base favorita de sempre, e aposto que vai continuar a ser durante muito tempo. É feita à base de água como o nome indica, é extremamente líquida e fácil de espalhar no rosto. Não cobre muito, mas cobre o suficiente e é tão natural que se torna invisível na pele (post aqui).

5. Becca Multi Tasking Perfecting Powder - I didn’t really care for this powder at first, but the truth is that I am using it with an incredible speed. Part is because I really like it, and the other reason is that it dissolves like flour when I touch it with my brush. I still love it though! (post here).

4. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation – It doesn’t last for 8 hours on the skin, but this foundation is flawless. I used this foundation whenever I went out at night. It looks natural while covering my imperfections. Best off all, I love the colour match (post here).

3. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer - The World's Favourite Concealer (until the Tarte Shape Tape appeared). It’s good if you don’t have dry under eyes, but the number 2 on this top is better, and with that I have said it all.

2. Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer - This 5 € concealer is worth your money and more. It is creamy, easy to blend, it covers very well and looks natural on the skin (post here).

1. Tarte Rain Forest of the Sea Water Foundation - If you saw my post on this foundation then it is no surprise that it is in 1st place. This is my all time favourite foundation, and I bet it will continue to be for a while. It’s water based, as the name implies, it’s very liquidy and easy to apply on the face. It doesn’t cover much, but it covers enough and it’s so natural that it becomes invisible on the skin (post here).

Esta é a categoria onde encaixo tudo o que não é maquilhagem mas que me dá um jeitão no dia-a-dia. Estes são os meus produtos básicos favoritos de 2017.

Here is the category where I fit everything that is not make-up, but that I use almost everyday. These are my favourite basic products of 2017.

5. Tony Molly Sheet Masks – A primeira coisa que precisam saber sobre estas mascaras: Não as comprem na Sephora. Eu compro packs no BeautyNetKorea e fica a 1/4 do preço praticado nas lojas portuguesas. O que precisam de saber mais? Para além de serem perfeitas para assustar os habitantes e visitantes das vossas casas, elas hidratam profundamente a pele, deixam-na macia e radiante.

Eu não tenho por hábito comprar máscaras hidratantes, já que prefiro as detox ou matificantes, então quando a minha pele precisa de amor uso uma sheet mask, agarro-me a 2 gatos e vejo um filme às escuras no sofá.

4. The Body Shop 3 in 1 Wash-Scrub-Mask – Se precisam de um exfoliante novo comprem este! Ele é super fresco e tem partículas pequeninas que realmente limpam a pele e regularizam a sua textura. Ele tem ainda o bónus de ter uma mascara incorporada que ajuda a purificar a pele.

É o perfeito pick me up para usar a meio da semana quando estamos cansadas e não queremos perder tempo na casa de banho com 50 cremes diferentes.

3. Avène Emulsion Oil Free SPF 50 – Finalmente achei um protetor solar que realmente gosto. Esta é a terceira embalagem que comprei no ano passado, e muito provavelmente já não me vou aventurar em experimentar outros protetores.

Eu sou muito esquisita com os meus SPFs, ou me fazem alergia, ou tem uma textura estranha ou são demasiado caros. Este ronda os 10€, não me faz alergia e penetra na pele passado uns minutos. Uso-o por baixo da maquilhagem, misturado com a base ou até sozinho e nunca tive qualquer problema. It’s the one. Podem o encontrar aqui!

2. Moschino Hippy Fizz Perfume – Sabem aquele perfume que sempre quiseram ter desde pequenas? É este o meu. No seu lançamento recebi uma amostra com a revista Bravo ou SuperPop (good old times), e eu fiquei apaixonada desde o primeiro sniff. Anos e anos depois, acabei por o comprar. É cítrico, fresco e jovem.

1. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil Free Cleanser – Já não sei viver sem este menino. Foi a minha primeira e única experiencia com a Kiehl’s e já vos posso dizer que a hype é real. Usei o para acalmar uma crise de acne que tive depois de experimentar o Squeaky Clean Scrub da The Body Shop que falei no post anterior (aka the biggest dissapointment), e a minha pele não só voltou ao normal, como ficou perfeita.

Ele limpa sem deixar aquele efeito de repuxamento e deixa a pele completamente macia. Com apenas uma gota conseguem criar uma camada de espuma que destrói toda a oleosidade e sujidade do dia.

É mais caro do que estou habituada a pagar por um cleanser, mas os resultados falam por si e já sei que vou dar grande parte do meu ordenado à Kiehl’s por daqui para a frente.

5. Tony Molly Sheet Masks - The first thing you need to know about these masks: Do not buy them from Sephora. I buy packs at Beauty Net Korea and it is 1/4 of the price that we see in Portuguese stores. What else do you need to know? As well as being perfect to scare the inhabitants and visitors of your home, these masks deeply moisturize the skin, leaving it soft and radiant.

I don’t usually buy moisturizing masks, since I prefer detox or mattifying ones. So, when my skin needs love I use a sheet mask, I grab two cats and watch a movie on the couch.

4. The Body Shop 3 in 1 Wash-Scrub-Mask - If you need a new face scrub buy this one! It is fresh and it has tiny particles that actually cleanse the skin and smooth its texture. It also has the added bonus of having a built-in mask that helps to purify the skin.

It's the perfect pick me up to apply mid-week when we're tired and we don’t want to waste time in the bathroom with 50 different creams.

3. Avène Emulsion Oil Free SPF 50 - I finally found a sunscreen that I really like. This is the third bottle that I bought last year, and I probably will not venture out and try other SPFs.

I'm very weird with my SPFs. They either break me out, or they have a strange texture or they are too expensive. This one cost about the € 10, I’m not allergic to it and it penetrates the skin after a few minutes. I use it under my makeup, mixed with foundation or even alone and I never had any problem. 2. Moschino Hippy Fizz Perfume - Do you know that perfume that you have always wanted to own since you were a kid? This is it for me. When it launched I received a sample with my teenager magazine (good old times), and it was love at first sniff. Years and years later, I bought it. It is citric, fresh and young.

1. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil Free Cleanser - I no longer know how to live without this cleanser. It was my first and only experience with Kiehl's and I can already tell you that the hype is real. I used it to soothe an acne crisis I had after trying out the Squeaky Clean Scrub from The Body Shop that I mentioned in the previous post (aka the biggest disappointment), and my skin not only went back to normal, but it became perfect.

It cleans without leaving that tight feeling and it leaves the skin completely soft. With just a drop, this cleanser can create a layer of foam that destroys all the oil and dirt of the day.

It's more expensive than I'm used to paying for a cleanser, but the results speak for themselves. I already know that I'm going to give a lot of my paycheck to Kiehl's from here on out.

Se já me seguem a alguns anos sabem que eu nunca deixo esta época passar sem mencionar o meu top 5. Desta vez tenho 8 categorias diferentes e vou vos dizer quais foram os meus produtos favoritos deste ano que passou.

Claro que o meu primeiro post de 2018 tinha que ser sobre as minhas desilusões. Esta categoria foi a que me custou mais a preencher. Não por falta de desilusões, mas porque quando chegou a altura de as fotografar, eu percebi que a grade maioria delas já tinha saído porta fora.

Eu não tenho o hábito de ficar com coisas que não gosto. Prefiro passar a familiares ou amigos o quanto antes para evitar que expirem. Por isso, tenho que dar três menções “horrorosas” a produtos por aqui falados no blog que mudaram de morada:

Tigi Catwalk Fashionista – É um produto de coloração que ajuda a manter os tons quentes do cabelo castanho… eu não sabia isso quando o comprei. Estava à espera de um champô e condicionador hidratante que eu pudesse usar todos os dias, e como é óbvio fiquei com o cabelo seco. Eu não gosto de acumular garrafas no duche para usar de vez em quando, então despachei-o (post aqui).

L’oreal Infalible Primer – Não me deixou mate, não prolongou a minha base e deixou-me com umas borbulhas novas (post aqui).

Kiko Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara – Dá volume, mas dá trabalho a aplicar e borra. So what’s the point? (post aqui).

Bem, sem mais demoras, aqui estão as minha desilusões de 2017.

If you follow me for a few years, then you know that I never let this season pass without mentioning my top 5. This time I have 8 different categories filled with all my favourite products from last year.

Of course, the first post of 2018 had to be about my disappointments. This category was the hardest one to do. Not for lack of disappointments, but because when it came the time to photograph them I realized that some of them were already out the door.

I don’t keep things that I don’t like. I prefer to pass them on to family or friends as soon as possible to prevent them from expiring. Therefore, I have to give three "horrible" mentions to some products talked about here on the blog that have changed their address:

Tigi Catwalk Fashionista - It's a hair colour treatment that keeps brown hair warm and beautiful... but I didn’t know this when I bought it. I was waiting for a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner that I could use every day, but after a week of use my hair was completely fried. I do not like to accumulate bottles in the shower, so I gave it to a friend (post here).

L'oreal Infalible Primer – It didn’t keep me matte, it did not extend my base and it broke me out. I gave it to my sister over 2 months ago and I don’t think that she even tried it (post here).

Kiko Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara – It’ volumizing, but it takes a lot of work to apply and it smudges all over my face... so, what's the point (post here).

With those out of the way, here are my disappointments of 2017.

5. Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks – Bem, tecnicamente não tenho nenhum problema com estes batons, mas sim com a embalagem. Comprei 2, e o meu favorito na cor Pasadena “baba-se”. A embalagem não veda bem e deixa passar produto. Graças a este menino fiquei com uma contaminação peganhenta na minha gaveta, and that’s not cool. (post aqui).

4. Milani Brow Gel - Gel de sobrancelhas que não fixa as sobrancelhas é das coisas mais inúteis de sempre (post aqui).

3. Michael Todd Intensive Organic Cream Eye Treatment – É um tratamento anti idade formulado com ingredientes mirabolantes que hidratam a pele ao mesmo tempo que ajudam a reduzir as linhas finas, a escuridão e o inchaço. Perfeito não é? Pois…

Alguém conhece esta marca? Michael Todd era a marca do Youtube há uns 4/5 anos atrás. Lembro-me de ver a missglamorazzi (aka Ingrid Nilsen) falar maravilhas deste creme e de mais outros da marca. Encontrei-o na BeautyBay recentemente e arrisquei. Não faz nada de especial e deixa-me completamente gordurosa ao ponto de a minha irmã me perguntar “não lavaste a cara?”. É impossível usá-lo de manha, e de noite gosto de cremes mais hidratantes. Mas ao menos este tem uma ponta gelada que ajuda a desinchar os olhos #itssomething.

2. Wet n Wild Mega Impact Mascara - Abri esta mascara num dia de desespero quando já não aguentava a da Kiko e foi uma desilusão ao primeiro toque. O meu tubo devia estar há 3 meses na minha gaveta, mas estava selado e dentro da validade, no entanto de pouco valeu pois mal o abri estava seco. Secalhar é mesmo assim? Aplicar uma varinha sem produto pode ser uma moda nova que eu não conheço. Não sei, mas quero os meus 5€ de volta.

1. The Body Shop Squeaky Clean Scrub – Adoro a gama Tea Tree da The Boby Shop, e como o exfoliante 3 em 1 é o meu favorito decidi que esta versão mais light era perfeita para mim. Este é um gel de limpeza diário com partículas exfoliantes que limpa a pele em profundidade de todas as impurezas… ora era mesmo isso que eu procurava! Claro que 1 semana depois, eu fiquei com acne cístico no maxilar e queixo. Ele pode dar uma sensação de limpeza, mas não remove toda a sujidade e sebum. Pior compra do ano for sure.

5. Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks – Well, technically I don’t have a problem with these lipsticks, but rather with the packing. I bought 2 of them but my favorite in the shade Pasadena "drools", a lot. The lid doesn’t seal very well so the product leaks. Thanks to this lipstick I got a sticky contamination in my drawer, and that's not cool (post here).

4. Milani Brow Gel - Eyebrow gel that doesn’t keep the eyebrows in place is the most useless thing ever. I don’t like this one at all (post here).

3. Michael Todd Intensive Organic Cream Eye Treatment - It's an anti-age treatment formulated with miraculous ingredients that moisturize the skin while helping to reduce fine lines, darkness and swelling. Perfect right?

Does anyone know this brand? Michael Todd was THE YouTube brand about 4/5 years ago. I remember missglamorazzi (aka Ingrid Nilsen) saying wonders about this cream and others from this brand. I found it on BeautyBay recently and I ventured. Well, it’s nothing special and it leaves me completely greasy to the point that my sister asked me "didn’t you wash your face?". It’s impossible to use it in the morning, and for the night time I like more moisturizing creams, but at least it has a cold tip that helps to deflate the swelling around the eyes #itssomething.

2. Wet n Wild Mega Impact Mascara - I opened this mascara on a day of desperation when I couldn’t deal with the Kiko one any nore, and it was a disappointment from the first touch. This tube was in my drawer for 3 months, but it was sealed and within the validity, however it was completely dry. Is the formula supposed to be like that? Applying a wand without product can be a new trend that I do not know about. I don't know but I want my 5 € back.

1. The Body Shop Squeaky Clean Scrub - I love the Tea Tree range from The Boby Shop, and since the 3-in-1 scrub is my favourite, I decided this lighter version was perfect for me. It claims to be a daily cleansing gel with exfoliating particles that thoroughly cleanses the skin of all the impurities, now that's what I was looking for! Of course, 1 week after use I got cystic acne on the jaw and chin. It can give you a clean feeling but it doesn’t remove any dirt or sebum. Worst purchase of the year for sure.
