Esta é a categoria onde encaixo tudo o que não é maquilhagem mas que me dá um jeitão no dia-a-dia. Estes são os meus produtos básicos favoritos de 2017.

Here is the category where I fit everything that is not make-up, but that I use almost everyday. These are my favourite basic products of 2017.

5. Tony Molly Sheet Masks – A primeira coisa que precisam saber sobre estas mascaras: Não as comprem na Sephora. Eu compro packs no BeautyNetKorea e fica a 1/4 do preço praticado nas lojas portuguesas. O que precisam de saber mais? Para além de serem perfeitas para assustar os habitantes e visitantes das vossas casas, elas hidratam profundamente a pele, deixam-na macia e radiante.

Eu não tenho por hábito comprar máscaras hidratantes, já que prefiro as detox ou matificantes, então quando a minha pele precisa de amor uso uma sheet mask, agarro-me a 2 gatos e vejo um filme às escuras no sofá.

4. The Body Shop 3 in 1 Wash-Scrub-Mask – Se precisam de um exfoliante novo comprem este! Ele é super fresco e tem partículas pequeninas que realmente limpam a pele e regularizam a sua textura. Ele tem ainda o bónus de ter uma mascara incorporada que ajuda a purificar a pele.

É o perfeito pick me up para usar a meio da semana quando estamos cansadas e não queremos perder tempo na casa de banho com 50 cremes diferentes.

3. Avène Emulsion Oil Free SPF 50 – Finalmente achei um protetor solar que realmente gosto. Esta é a terceira embalagem que comprei no ano passado, e muito provavelmente já não me vou aventurar em experimentar outros protetores.

Eu sou muito esquisita com os meus SPFs, ou me fazem alergia, ou tem uma textura estranha ou são demasiado caros. Este ronda os 10€, não me faz alergia e penetra na pele passado uns minutos. Uso-o por baixo da maquilhagem, misturado com a base ou até sozinho e nunca tive qualquer problema. It’s the one. Podem o encontrar aqui!

2. Moschino Hippy Fizz Perfume – Sabem aquele perfume que sempre quiseram ter desde pequenas? É este o meu. No seu lançamento recebi uma amostra com a revista Bravo ou SuperPop (good old times), e eu fiquei apaixonada desde o primeiro sniff. Anos e anos depois, acabei por o comprar. É cítrico, fresco e jovem.

1. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil Free Cleanser – Já não sei viver sem este menino. Foi a minha primeira e única experiencia com a Kiehl’s e já vos posso dizer que a hype é real. Usei o para acalmar uma crise de acne que tive depois de experimentar o Squeaky Clean Scrub da The Body Shop que falei no post anterior (aka the biggest dissapointment), e a minha pele não só voltou ao normal, como ficou perfeita.

Ele limpa sem deixar aquele efeito de repuxamento e deixa a pele completamente macia. Com apenas uma gota conseguem criar uma camada de espuma que destrói toda a oleosidade e sujidade do dia.

É mais caro do que estou habituada a pagar por um cleanser, mas os resultados falam por si e já sei que vou dar grande parte do meu ordenado à Kiehl’s por daqui para a frente.

5. Tony Molly Sheet Masks - The first thing you need to know about these masks: Do not buy them from Sephora. I buy packs at Beauty Net Korea and it is 1/4 of the price that we see in Portuguese stores. What else do you need to know? As well as being perfect to scare the inhabitants and visitors of your home, these masks deeply moisturize the skin, leaving it soft and radiant.

I don’t usually buy moisturizing masks, since I prefer detox or mattifying ones. So, when my skin needs love I use a sheet mask, I grab two cats and watch a movie on the couch.

4. The Body Shop 3 in 1 Wash-Scrub-Mask - If you need a new face scrub buy this one! It is fresh and it has tiny particles that actually cleanse the skin and smooth its texture. It also has the added bonus of having a built-in mask that helps to purify the skin.

It's the perfect pick me up to apply mid-week when we're tired and we don’t want to waste time in the bathroom with 50 different creams.

3. Avène Emulsion Oil Free SPF 50 - I finally found a sunscreen that I really like. This is the third bottle that I bought last year, and I probably will not venture out and try other SPFs.

I'm very weird with my SPFs. They either break me out, or they have a strange texture or they are too expensive. This one cost about the € 10, I’m not allergic to it and it penetrates the skin after a few minutes. I use it under my makeup, mixed with foundation or even alone and I never had any problem. 2. Moschino Hippy Fizz Perfume - Do you know that perfume that you have always wanted to own since you were a kid? This is it for me. When it launched I received a sample with my teenager magazine (good old times), and it was love at first sniff. Years and years later, I bought it. It is citric, fresh and young.

1. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil Free Cleanser - I no longer know how to live without this cleanser. It was my first and only experience with Kiehl's and I can already tell you that the hype is real. I used it to soothe an acne crisis I had after trying out the Squeaky Clean Scrub from The Body Shop that I mentioned in the previous post (aka the biggest disappointment), and my skin not only went back to normal, but it became perfect.

It cleans without leaving that tight feeling and it leaves the skin completely soft. With just a drop, this cleanser can create a layer of foam that destroys all the oil and dirt of the day.

It's more expensive than I'm used to paying for a cleanser, but the results speak for themselves. I already know that I'm going to give a lot of my paycheck to Kiehl's from here on out.

Se já me seguem a alguns anos sabem que eu nunca deixo esta época passar sem mencionar o meu top 5. Desta vez tenho 8 categorias diferentes e vou vos dizer quais foram os meus produtos favoritos deste ano que passou.

Claro que o meu primeiro post de 2018 tinha que ser sobre as minhas desilusões. Esta categoria foi a que me custou mais a preencher. Não por falta de desilusões, mas porque quando chegou a altura de as fotografar, eu percebi que a grade maioria delas já tinha saído porta fora.

Eu não tenho o hábito de ficar com coisas que não gosto. Prefiro passar a familiares ou amigos o quanto antes para evitar que expirem. Por isso, tenho que dar três menções “horrorosas” a produtos por aqui falados no blog que mudaram de morada:

Tigi Catwalk Fashionista – É um produto de coloração que ajuda a manter os tons quentes do cabelo castanho… eu não sabia isso quando o comprei. Estava à espera de um champô e condicionador hidratante que eu pudesse usar todos os dias, e como é óbvio fiquei com o cabelo seco. Eu não gosto de acumular garrafas no duche para usar de vez em quando, então despachei-o (post aqui).

L’oreal Infalible Primer – Não me deixou mate, não prolongou a minha base e deixou-me com umas borbulhas novas (post aqui).

Kiko Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara – Dá volume, mas dá trabalho a aplicar e borra. So what’s the point? (post aqui).

Bem, sem mais demoras, aqui estão as minha desilusões de 2017.

If you follow me for a few years, then you know that I never let this season pass without mentioning my top 5. This time I have 8 different categories filled with all my favourite products from last year.

Of course, the first post of 2018 had to be about my disappointments. This category was the hardest one to do. Not for lack of disappointments, but because when it came the time to photograph them I realized that some of them were already out the door.

I don’t keep things that I don’t like. I prefer to pass them on to family or friends as soon as possible to prevent them from expiring. Therefore, I have to give three "horrible" mentions to some products talked about here on the blog that have changed their address:

Tigi Catwalk Fashionista - It's a hair colour treatment that keeps brown hair warm and beautiful... but I didn’t know this when I bought it. I was waiting for a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner that I could use every day, but after a week of use my hair was completely fried. I do not like to accumulate bottles in the shower, so I gave it to a friend (post here).

L'oreal Infalible Primer – It didn’t keep me matte, it did not extend my base and it broke me out. I gave it to my sister over 2 months ago and I don’t think that she even tried it (post here).

Kiko Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara – It’ volumizing, but it takes a lot of work to apply and it smudges all over my face... so, what's the point (post here).

With those out of the way, here are my disappointments of 2017.

5. Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks – Bem, tecnicamente não tenho nenhum problema com estes batons, mas sim com a embalagem. Comprei 2, e o meu favorito na cor Pasadena “baba-se”. A embalagem não veda bem e deixa passar produto. Graças a este menino fiquei com uma contaminação peganhenta na minha gaveta, and that’s not cool. (post aqui).

4. Milani Brow Gel - Gel de sobrancelhas que não fixa as sobrancelhas é das coisas mais inúteis de sempre (post aqui).

3. Michael Todd Intensive Organic Cream Eye Treatment – É um tratamento anti idade formulado com ingredientes mirabolantes que hidratam a pele ao mesmo tempo que ajudam a reduzir as linhas finas, a escuridão e o inchaço. Perfeito não é? Pois…

Alguém conhece esta marca? Michael Todd era a marca do Youtube há uns 4/5 anos atrás. Lembro-me de ver a missglamorazzi (aka Ingrid Nilsen) falar maravilhas deste creme e de mais outros da marca. Encontrei-o na BeautyBay recentemente e arrisquei. Não faz nada de especial e deixa-me completamente gordurosa ao ponto de a minha irmã me perguntar “não lavaste a cara?”. É impossível usá-lo de manha, e de noite gosto de cremes mais hidratantes. Mas ao menos este tem uma ponta gelada que ajuda a desinchar os olhos #itssomething.

2. Wet n Wild Mega Impact Mascara - Abri esta mascara num dia de desespero quando já não aguentava a da Kiko e foi uma desilusão ao primeiro toque. O meu tubo devia estar há 3 meses na minha gaveta, mas estava selado e dentro da validade, no entanto de pouco valeu pois mal o abri estava seco. Secalhar é mesmo assim? Aplicar uma varinha sem produto pode ser uma moda nova que eu não conheço. Não sei, mas quero os meus 5€ de volta.

1. The Body Shop Squeaky Clean Scrub – Adoro a gama Tea Tree da The Boby Shop, e como o exfoliante 3 em 1 é o meu favorito decidi que esta versão mais light era perfeita para mim. Este é um gel de limpeza diário com partículas exfoliantes que limpa a pele em profundidade de todas as impurezas… ora era mesmo isso que eu procurava! Claro que 1 semana depois, eu fiquei com acne cístico no maxilar e queixo. Ele pode dar uma sensação de limpeza, mas não remove toda a sujidade e sebum. Pior compra do ano for sure.

5. Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks – Well, technically I don’t have a problem with these lipsticks, but rather with the packing. I bought 2 of them but my favorite in the shade Pasadena "drools", a lot. The lid doesn’t seal very well so the product leaks. Thanks to this lipstick I got a sticky contamination in my drawer, and that's not cool (post here).

4. Milani Brow Gel - Eyebrow gel that doesn’t keep the eyebrows in place is the most useless thing ever. I don’t like this one at all (post here).

3. Michael Todd Intensive Organic Cream Eye Treatment - It's an anti-age treatment formulated with miraculous ingredients that moisturize the skin while helping to reduce fine lines, darkness and swelling. Perfect right?

Does anyone know this brand? Michael Todd was THE YouTube brand about 4/5 years ago. I remember missglamorazzi (aka Ingrid Nilsen) saying wonders about this cream and others from this brand. I found it on BeautyBay recently and I ventured. Well, it’s nothing special and it leaves me completely greasy to the point that my sister asked me "didn’t you wash your face?". It’s impossible to use it in the morning, and for the night time I like more moisturizing creams, but at least it has a cold tip that helps to deflate the swelling around the eyes #itssomething.

2. Wet n Wild Mega Impact Mascara - I opened this mascara on a day of desperation when I couldn’t deal with the Kiko one any nore, and it was a disappointment from the first touch. This tube was in my drawer for 3 months, but it was sealed and within the validity, however it was completely dry. Is the formula supposed to be like that? Applying a wand without product can be a new trend that I do not know about. I don't know but I want my 5 € back.

1. The Body Shop Squeaky Clean Scrub - I love the Tea Tree range from The Boby Shop, and since the 3-in-1 scrub is my favourite, I decided this lighter version was perfect for me. It claims to be a daily cleansing gel with exfoliating particles that thoroughly cleanses the skin of all the impurities, now that's what I was looking for! Of course, 1 week after use I got cystic acne on the jaw and chin. It can give you a clean feeling but it doesn’t remove any dirt or sebum. Worst purchase of the year for sure.

Depois do meu Anti Haul (aqui), está na altura de uma Wishlist! Este são todos os produtinhos que eu não me importo nadaaaaaa de receber neste natal #ficaadica

1. KAT VON D - Everlasting Mini Liquid Lip Set – 45,00€

Já estive com este kit na mão prontinha para o comprar mas desisti porque não o queria comprar sem os meus 20% de desconto. Já deu para perceber que a KVD está mesmo excluída das promoções então começa aqui o meu problema. Se fosse outro produto aposto que embirrava com ele e batia o pé para não dar dinheiro à Sephora, mas isto é um kit de edição limitada de minis… por isso… talvez… meh… não sei se devo ceder ou esperar pelos “saldos” e ver se sobra algum 5€ mais barato… (parece difícil, mas se vocês já foram à Sephora do Barreiro em época de saldos vão perceber que não é impossível).

Este vem com as cores Madrid, Witches, Damned, Hawkwind, Sanctuary, Ludwig, Lovecraft, e Exorcism e são perfeitas para mim.

I had this kit on my hands and I was getting ready to buy it but I gave up in the last minute. I was too proud and I refused to get it for full price. It’s apperent now that KVD is excluded from any promotions during this season so that is a problem for me. If this was another product I bet that I would set my foot down and not give the money to Sephora. But this is a limited edition set of mini liquid lipsticks... so... maybe... meh ... I don’t know if I should give in or wait for the "sales" and see if there is a spare set left on my local store 5 € cheaper ...

This comes with the shade’s Madrid, Witches, Damned, Hawkwind, Sanctuary, Ludwig, Lovecraft, and Exorcism and are perfect for me.

2. KAT VON D – Everlasting Lip Liner Trio – 35,00€

Este sofre do mesmo dilema do anterior, com o acréscimo de eu nem saber se está disponível em Portugal. É um conjunto de três delineadores de lábios full size nas cores Lolita, Hawkwind e Homegirl. Eu adoro lápis de lábios e ando curiosa com os da KVD, então nada melhor do que agarrar um trio por um valor reduzido.

PS: Não temos em Portugal, mas segundo os boatos, podem encomendar no site no site francês da Sephora que eles enviam para cá.

This one suffers from the same dilemma of the previous one, with the addition that me now even knowing if it is available in Portugal. It is a set of three full size lip liners in the shades Lolita, Hawkwind and Homegirl. I love lip pencils and I'm curious about KVD ones, so nothing better than grabbing a trio for a reduced price.

PS: We are not getting this one in Portugal, but according to some rumours, you can order it from the French Sephora.

3. BENEFIT – Eye Got Brow – 26,95 €

O meu goof proof está nas últimas, e apesar de adorar as versões mais baratinhas da Kiko e Nyx, confesso que não me importava nada de ter este conjutinho com o Ready, Set, Brow e a mascara Roller Lash em miniatura.

PSS: Este é outro produto para mandar vir de França porque não o encontro por cá.

My goof proof is on the last leg, and although I love the less expensive versions from Kiko and Nyx, I confess that I wouldn’t mind owning this set with the Ready, Set, Brow and the miniature Roller Lash Mask.

PSS: This is another product that you have to order from France because I can’t find it here.

4. HUDA BEAUTY – Desert Dusk Palette – 65,00 €

Amor à primeira vista tem um nome, e chama-se Desert Dusk. Eu sei que disse que não precisava de mais sombras… mas esta palette foi feita para mim. Nunca experimentei as sombras da Huda, e o preço exagerado tira-me um pouco a curiosidade, no entanto desde que vi as primeiras fotos da DD eu aceitei que lá teria que largar uma fortuna por sombras de olhos.

De todos os produtos que estão aqui, este tenho a certeza absoluta que o vou comprar!

Love at first sight has a name, and it's called Desert Dusk. I know I said that I didn’t need any more shadows... but guys… this palette was made for me. I have never tested out Huda eye shadows, and the exaggerated price doesn’t spike my interest at all, however, since I saw the first pictures of the DD I accepted that I would have to spend a fortune on these eye shadows.

Of all the products that I mention here, I am absolutely sure that I will buy this!

5. NARS – Bord de Plage Face Palette – 45,00 €

Já sei que não vem para Portugal por isso, mal ela esteja disponível no site da Nars eu vou a agarrar! É uma paleta de quatro iluminadores e dois bronzers, sendo um deles o famoso Laguna na fórmula Sun Wash, desenhada para aplicar uma camada mais fina e natural de produto.

PSSS: Consegui a encomendar mas extraviou-se nos nossos CTT. Quando contactei a Nars eles não conseguiam enviar outra por estar novamente fora de stock. Não sei se vai voltar a estar disponível tho… Nars sabe a definição de edição limitada.

I already know that its no coming to Portugal so, as soon as this palette is available on the Nars website, I'm going to grab it! It is a palette of four illuminators and two bronzers, one of them being the famous Laguna in the Sun Wash formula, designed to apply a thinner and more natural layer of product.

PSSS: I was able to order it but my parcel got lost. When I contacted Nars they couldn’t send me another one because it was (and still is) out of stock again. I do not know if it will be available again though ... Nars knows the definition of limited edition.

A Urban Decay, a marca que eu considerava ser a mais inovadora a que estava à frente das outras todas no que toca a tendências acabou por perder o seu ritmo. Lançou a Naked Heat tarde, apostou nos batons líquidos depois de o mercado estar saturado deles e armou-se em Benefit e deu umas embalagens novas aos seus sprays de culto… MAS, esta palete realmente mostrou que afinal a minha UD ainda existe!

Urban Decay, the brand I considered the most innovative one, the brand that was always ahead of all the others all in terms of trends, eventually lost its rhythm. They launched the Naked Heat late in the game, they released their version of a liquid lipstick after the market was saturated and they pulled a Benefit and revamped their cult sprays with new packaging... BUT, this pallet really showed that my UD still exists!

A Heavy Metals Palette é composta por 20 sombras altamente brilhantes, neutras e coloridas, dentro da embalagem mais out there dos últimos tempos. Claro que não é para todas, e há quem se queixe que não é prático ou é grande demais e até já vi quem diga que não consegue usar o espelho porque “custa a segurar”.

MAS EU ADORO! É completamente diferente, tanto em termos de packaging, layout e conceito. Eu posso vos dizer que tenho 5 paletas totalmente mate em casa, mas paletas shimmery só tenho esta. Este formato é único para mim, não tenho estas cores repetidas (pelo menos as coloridas) e a embalagem é goals.

The Heavy Metals Palette has 20 highly bright, neutral and coloured shades, within the most out-of-the-box packaging of recent times. Of course, it's not for everyone, and some people complain that “it's not practical” or “it's too big” and I've even seen people say they cannot use the mirror because it's "hard to hold."

BUT I LIKE! It's completely different, in terms of packaging, layout and concept. I can tell you that I have 5 fully matte palettes at home, but I only own this shimmery palette. This format is unique for me, I do not have these colours (at least the colourful ones) and the packing is goals.

Confesso que foi o lado neutro que me convenceu, mas a ideia de “se precisar de cor até dá jeito” também me empurrou para a compra.

Estas sombras não são aqueles shimmers fraquinhos que aparecem para encher outras paletas. São mesmo foiled shadows, carregadas em pigmento e brilho, tornando-as quase como um metal liquido, no entanto não são tão cremosas como as da Makeup Geek. Estas da UD são mais secas e tem partículas maiores, o que pode resultar em fallout, principalmente se não tiverem cuidado durante a aplicação.

Como maquilho sempre os olhos primeiro, não me ralo muito. Durante o dia a sombra ficou no sitio, mas passado 8 horas o brilho começa a desaparecer lentamente.

Como já perceberam eu gosto realmente desta paleta, e a única sombra que eu trocava é a Angelfire que é uma autêntica bomba de glitter.

I confess that it was the neutral side that convinced me, but the idea of "If I need colour I can just grab this palette" also pushed me to buy it.

These shadows are not those weak shimmers that come with the purpose of filling other palettes. These are foiled shadows, loaded with pigment and shine, making them almost like liquid metal, however they are not as creamy as the ones from Makeup Geek. These UD shadows are drier and have larger particles, which can result in fallout, especially if you are not careful during application.

Since I always do my eye make-up first, I’m not too worried. During the day, I didn’t get any fallout, but after 8 hours the shine starts to fade a little.

As you have already noticed, I really like this palette, and the only disappointing shadow is Angelfire, which is a real glitter bomb.

Se viram o meu último haul da Nyx, então já estavam à espera que eu vos mostrasse este menino com mais detalhe.

Este é o Angel Veil da Nyx, o primário vindo do céu que promete uma camada sedosa, leve e fresca na pele, perfeita para receber a maquilhagem. Ele admite também que minimiza o brilho e ajuda a obter uma aplicação “flawless” da base.

If you saw my last Nyx haul, then you were already waiting for me to show you this baby in more detail.

This is the Angel Veil from Nyx. It’s a primer that fell from the sky that promises a silky, light and fresh layer on the skin, perfect for receiving make-up. It also claims to create a smooth uniform canvas that minimizes shine and makes application flawless.

Bem... eu até que gosto dele.

Não é aquele primário milagroso que preenche os poros e disfarça as imperfeições, e também não ajuda o controlo do óleo. Ele é simplesmente um hidratante com sílica na sua composição, o que o torna altamente macio na pele.

Eu gosto de o usar quando tenho alguma textura, ou especialmente, quando estou mais seca que o habitual. Ele deixa a pele muito mais macia e hidratada, facilitando visivelmente a aplicação da base.

Well... I have to say that I like it.

It’s not a miracle primer that fills the pores and disguises imperfections, and it also doesn’t help to control the oil. It’s simply a moisturizer with silica in its composition, which makes it highly soft on the skin.

I like to use it when I have some texture, or especially in days when I'm drier than usual. It leaves the skin much softer and moisturized, visibly making the foundation application easier.

Voltava a comprar? Meh, secalhar não. Parece-me ser um produto realmente bom, mas a minha experiência com primários precisa de ser expandida. Já conheciam o Angel Veil?

Will I repurchase it? Meh, maybe not. It seems to be a good product, but my experience with primers needs to be expanded. Have you ever tried the Angel Veil?

Mal vi que este conjunto ia fazer parte da coleção de outono da Anastasia Beverly Hills, eu já sabia que tinha que lhe meter as mãos em cima. Por isso, logo após o seu lançamento no site oficial eu fiz a minha encomenda, não esperei para comprar na Beautybay ou Cultbeauty a uns eurinhos mais barato, pois sinceramente nunca pensei que chegassem a essas lojas.

When I saw that this set was going to be part of the Anastasia Beverly Hills fall collection, I already knew I had to get my hands on it. So shortly after its launch on the official website I made my order. I didn’t wait to get it from Beautybay or Cultbeauty for a few euros cheaper because I honestly never thought that this set would be available on those stores.

A incrível coleção de batons da ABH está restrita ao seu site e a algumas Sephoras por este mundo fora (claro que em Portugal nem vê-los). Felizmente, todos os produtos que comtemplavam esta coleção de outono chegaram às lojas internacionais do costume, incluindo este conjunto pelo qual paguei cerca de 30€ para ficar a 20€ e poucos durante a Black Friday.

Desde que testei o meu primeiro liquid lipstick da Anastasia que fiquei convertida! Podem não ser os mais confortáveis, mas são sem dúvida os mais duradores. Vocês até podem ter um batom líquido que aguente o dia todo, mas não aguenta como os da ABH que continuam no sítio, sem borrar, sem desaparecer, sem “but hole lips” mesmo depois de comer um hambúrguer gigante (eu tenho provas).

ABH's amazing collection of lipsticks is restricted to their website and to some Sephoras around the world (not Portugal of course). Fortunately, all the products in this fall collection arrived at the usual international web shops, including this set for which I paid 30 €… only for it to be 20 € during the Black Friday sale.

Since I first tried a liquid lipstick from Anastasia, I was hooked! They may not be the most comfortable on the lips, but they are undoubtedly the most long lasting. You may even have a liquid lipstick that will hold up all day, but it won’t last like the ABH's lipsticks do. They remain in place, without blurring, without disappearing, without forming the dreaded "but hole lips" even after eating a giant hamburger (I have evidence).

Like the minis from Huda Beauty, these components have the quality of their original version. They are consistent, have attention to detail, a good applicator and they carry 2.3g of product, which is very reasonable when compared to the 3.2g of the full size.

Dazed | Hudson | Bittersweet

As cores deste conjunto são mesmo indicadas para esta estação do ano. Temos o Dazed, um vermelho apagado, Hudson o nude quente do trio que pertence à linha permanente e Bittersweet, um castanho com um toque de cinzento.

The colours of this set are perfect for this season of the year. We have the Dazed, a muted rosewood, Hudson the warm nude of the trio that is part of the permanent line and finally Bittersweet, a brown with a touch of grey.

De momento há duas bases de supermercado adoradas na internet. A Photofocus da Wet n Wild é famosa no youtube e a HD Liquid Coverage da Catrice que está praticamente em todos os blogs que sigo.

A indecisão era grande, mas acabei por seguir o meu instinto e arrisquei na primeira menina.

Right now, the internet is obsessed with drugstore foundations. The Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation is famous on youtube and Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation that is practically on every blog I follow.

It was a big decision but I ended up following my instinct and grabbed the first one.

Eu tenho pele mista com tendência a formar umas “amigas” ocasionalmente e tenho cicatrizes de acne e vermelhão. Sou bastante pálida com um subtom neutro, mas tenho preferência pelas bases mais amareladas, então acabei por escolher a cor soft ivory e acertei em cheio.

Gosto muito da cor e do aplicador, mas a fórmula da base em si é muito básica. Tem uma cobertura média que pode ser construída, mas é visível na pele. Na minha opinião, se vocês têm pele seca não usem esta base, ela destaca os meus poros e todas as partes secas. Eu preciso de usar um primário muito hidratante para conseguir uma pele normal e o Angel Veil da Nyx resulta na perfeição.

I have combination skin that tends to form the occasional "friend" and I have some acne scars and redness. I'm quite pale with a neutral undertone, but I prefer slight yellow foundations, so I decided to pick the shade soft ivory and I hit it just right.

I really like the colour and the applicator, but the foundation formula itself is very basic. It has a medium coverage that can be built but is visible on the skin. In my opinion, if you have dry skin do not use this foundation, it emphasize my pores and all my dry parts. I need to use a very moisturizing primer to achieve a normal skin look and the Nyx Angel Veil works perfectly.

Por menos de 7€ não me posso queixar pois a relação de preço e qualidade está à vista, apenas estava à espera de algo mais WOW.

Apesar dos seus defeitos, que sinceramente, também encontro em bases caras, a Photofocus aguenta o dia todo na pele e cobre as minhas imperfeições. O seu aplicador permite usá-la só em zonas específicas tal como um corretor e já vos disse que a cor é linda?

This foundation costs less than 7 € so I can’t really complain since the price and quality ratio is in there, I was just waiting for a bigger WOW.

Despite its flaws, which I honestly also encounter on expensive foundations, the Photofocus lasts all day on the skin and covers my imperfections. The applicator allows you apply product on specific areas, just like a concealer, and have I told you the colour is beautiful?

Voltava a comprá-la? NOPE! Para a próxima vou dar uma hipótese à base da Catrice. Podem encontrar esta base menina na Maquillalia ou na Primor por 6,99€.

Will I buy it again? NOPE! Next time I'll give a chance to Catrice. You can find this foundation on Maquillalia or Primor for 6.99 €.
