Pink Ivory Makeup: agosto 2016

Aqui está o último post sobre as minhas escolhas de produtos para o verão. E claro, para terminar em grande, vamos falar de batons!

Here it is the last post of my summer coices. And of course, to end it big, we are going to talk about lipsticks!

Os batons da MAC são os meus queridos para qualquer estação do ano! Eu tenho mais de 20 e a minha fórmula preferida é a retro matte. É muito difícil escolher apenas 1 para o verão, por isso optei por 3!

MAC Crosswires (19,50€) – É muito cremoso, hidrante e meio glossy. É um dos meus batons favoritos de sempre, mas que acabo só por o usar na primavera/verão. Se não querem um batom muito laranja ou pigmentado este é uma excelente opção da MAC. Vai vos tingir os lábios com um coral brilhante que pode ser reaplicado a qualquer altura sem espelho.

MAC Relentlessly Red (19,50€) – Este batom tem um lugar muito especial no meu coração, pois foi a primeira prenda que o meu namorado me ofereceu. É um coral néon avermelhado que pára o trânsito e dura imenso tempo! É muito mais seco que o anterior e necessita de muito cuidado na aplicação, mas depois de posto ele não se mexe.

MAC All Fired Up (19,50€) – Este é o meu favorito de todos os meus batons da MAC. Uso-o em qualquer altura e recebo sempre comentários de: “fica-te tão bem” (cof cof...). É uma cor de framboesa com um pouco de profundidade que fica lindo em peles pálidas.

MAC lipsticks are my babies for any season of the year! I have more than 20 and my favorite formula is the retro matte. It’s really hard to just pick one for the summer, so I choose 3!

MAC Crosswires (19,50€) – It’s really creamy, hydrating and glossy. It’s one of my all time favorites but I just use it in spring/summer. If you want a great lipstick that is not to orange or pigmented, than this is a great option from MAC. It’s going to stain the lips with a shiny coral that can be reapplied any time of the day without a mirror.

MAC Relentlessly Red (19,50€) – This lipstick has a special place in my heart because it was a present from my boyfriend. It's a neon coral with a red base that stops traffic and lasts a long time! It's much drier than the last one and needs a bit more time o apply, but after that it doesn't budge.

MAC All Fired Up (19,50€) – This is my favorite MAC lipstick. I use it in any occasion and always get compliments on it. Its a deep raspberry shade that suits pale skins.

Sephora #9 Watermelon Slice (12,95€) – Estes são os batons líquidos com a melhor relação qualidade/preço do mercado. Tenho 4 cores das poucas que há à venda em Portugal (podem ver aqui), e uso-as todas. A cor 9 é um coral alaranjado que precisa sempre de 2 camadas nos meus lábios. Seca mate, dura, não é desconfortável e cheira bem.

Lime Crime True Love (17,50€) – Os Velvetines foram dos primeiros batons líquidos a aparecer e mesmo passado este tempo todo, a sua formula é uma das minhas favoritas. Apesar de serem os mais secos desta lista, são os que mais pigmento têm numa só passagem e o que mais tempo duram. A cor True Love fazia parte de um set do dia dos namorados (post aqui), é a cor mais intensa que tenho e não a largo no verão.

Too Faced Melted Coral (20,95€) – De todos os melted este é o que menos amor tinha recebido até à data. Finalmente ganhei um pouco de cor consegui o tirar da gaveta. É literalmente um laranja, sem tirar nem por, numa textura de baton cremoso derretido.

Sephora #9 Watermelon Slice (12,95€) – These are the liquid lipsticks with the best price/quality of the market. I have 4 of them only because of the small shade range that is available in Portugal (you can see them here), and I use all of them. Number 9 is a orange coral that always needs two coats on my lips. Dries matte, lasts, it’s comfortable and smells nice.

Lime Crime True Love (17,50€) – The Velvetines were the first liquid lipsticks out there and even after all this time, their formula i sone of my faves. They might be the most dryng on this list, but they are they have the best pigment and last the longest. The colour True Love is parto f the valentines day set (post here), and i tis the most intense shade that I own that does not leave my lips.

Too Faced MeltedCoral (20.95€) – Of all the melteds, this is the one that I used the least amount of times until now, since I’m finally I’m taned enought to use this shade.It’s literal na Orange with the texture of a melted creamy lipstick.

Eu adoro a Kat Von D e os seus batons! A pouco e pouco ando a tentar construir uma coleçãozita e quando ficar feliz com ela, faço post aqui no blog. Mas entretanto vou vos recomendar 2 para esta época:

Kat Von D Beloved (19,90€) – É a mistura perfeita de rosa com laranja e um pouco de branco para ficar meio pastel. É muito parecido com o Crosswires mas numa formula muito mais pigmentada e mate. Adoro este batom, principalmente para usar no trabalho.

Kat Von D Bachelorette (19,90€) – A primeira vez que usei este baton fui comer caracóis… parece uma má combinação eu sei, mas na verdade, quando acabei, o baton estava intacto com a excepção dos meus dedos que pareciam que estavam “sangrentos”. Para além da formula fantástica, a cor é a versão mais vermelha do All Fired Up, que já é uma favorita à anos.

I love Kat Von D and her lipsticks! Little by little I’m building my collection and when I’m finally happy with it, I’ll write a post on it. Until then I’m going to recommend you 2 shades for the summer:

Kat Von D Beloved (19,90€) – It’s the perfect misture of pink, orange and a little bit of white to make it kind of pastel. Looks a lot like Crosswires but with a matte, and much more pigmented, formula. I love this lipstick, specially for work days.

Kat Von D Bachelorette (19,90€) – The first time that I used this lipstick I went out to eat snails. Looks like a horrible combination I know, but when I was done the lipstick on my lips was intact (I ca not say the same about my fingers that look really “bloodied”). Looks a lot like All Fired Up by MAC, but with a great staying power.

Aqui está ele! O iluminador em creme do momento! Quem viu o meu post de compras da Sephora sabe bem qual foi o meu dilema para o comprar, mas finalmente está aqui e eu não podia estar mais feliz com ele.

There it is! The stick highlighter of the moment! If you read my last Sephora haul then you know of the struggle that was to get it, but finally here it is and I couldn’t be happier with it.

A Benefit lançou este iluminador em versão stick, bem dourado e cremoso, com uma esponja no fim para esbater o produto. A embalagem é em plástico e, sinceramente, parece um pouco barata especialmente a que está como tester nas Sephoras… mas a minha está muito amada e não dá sinais de desgasto, mesmo já a estando a usar há mais de 2 meses.

Benefit released this highlighter in a stick form. It's very golden and creamy and it has a sponge at the end to help blend it out. The packaging is plastic, and in my opinion looks a bit cheap, specially the testers in every Sephora… but mine is very loved and there are no signs of wear, even after being used for more than 2 months.

O produto em sim, para além de ser uma cor linda, a sua textura é também muito boa que adere à pele sem a deixar pegajosa ou oleosa. Eu espalho o produto com os meus dedos e é como se o creme derrete-se na minha pele, deixando-a seca mas iluminada. Fica muito natural e dura mais que o típico iluminador em pó. Eu pessoalmente, gosto de fazer uma combinação dos 2 tipos, seja com o Champagne Pop da Becca ou o MSF Soft and Gentle da MAC, já que são os mais parecidos com o Watt's Up que eu tenho.

This highlighter is really good. Not only is the color beautifully, but the texture is unbelievable. It sticks to the skin without leaving it oily or sticky. I blend it out with my fingers and it’s just like a cream that melts onto my skin, leaving it dry and highlighted. It looks very natural and lasts more than the typical powder highlighter. Personally, I like to use a combination of the 2 types either with Champagne Pop from Becca or the MSF in Soft and Gentle from MAC, since they are the closest match to Watt's Up.

Tenho outro iluminador desta marca, o High Beam (post aqui), quando comparando os 2 eu prefiro muito mais o Watt's Up pela rápida e prática aplicação e pelo acabamento que dá à pele.

Tem algum iluminador da Benefit? Já experimentaram este? Qual o vosso iluminador em creme favorito?

I have another highlighter from this brand, the High Beam (post here), when comparing the 2, I prefer the Watts Up for its practical application and the finish that it gives to the skin.

No mês passado, algumas das bloggers que eu sigo, começaram a falar de um programa de subscrição chamado Lip Monthly. Basicamente, por 12.50$ (com portes grátis), recebemos em casa uma malinha com 4 ou mais produtos para lábios. Não hesitei e fiz a subscrição de um mês, e ainda tive direito a um desconto de 50% por ser o primeiro mês, ficando um total de 6.81€, já com as taxas de conversão.

Last month, some bloggers that I follow, started mentioning this subscription program called Lip Monthly. Basically, por 12.50$ (with free shipping), we get a small bag with 4 or more products for the lips. I didn’t hesitated and subscribed for a 1 month, and I was still able to use a 50% off discount, resulting in a total of 6,81€.

A subscrição de Julho que recebi vinha dentro de um estojo amarelo, e contem em 1 batom, 1 gloss, uma cheek stain, e uma mascara de rosto e corpo, perfazendo um total de 68.95$.

The July subscription came with a bright yellow bag, and inside I got a lipstick, a gloss, a cheek stain and a face/body mask. All worth of 68.95$ according to the card inside the bag.

Começando pelo batom, ele é da marca Dirty Little Secret e vem numa embalagem muito “rasca”, super leve e de plástico barato, no entanto a cor Vengeance é um fuchsia bem cremoso e pigmentado que fica lindo no inverno.

Starting with the lipstick, it’s form the brand Dirty Little Secret and it comes with a really “crappy” packaging, its super lightweight and cheap feeling, but inside, the color Vengeance is a bright fuchsia, really creamy and pigmented that would look amazing on the winter.

O segundo produto é da marca So Susan, da gama Jello Shot. Quando o agarrei meti-o logo nos lábios, digamos que assumi que fosse um lip stain pois é igual aos outros tantos que tenho. Usei-o, fotografei-o e andei com ele na mala durante umas semanas… Só quando estava a editar as fotos é que vi que afinal não serve para os lábios mas sim para as bochechas… Enfim…

A cor Hangover, apesar de aparentar ser laranja, na pele espalhado torna-se ligeiramente rosa. Se aplicarem pouco e espalharem com os dedos ele fica muito natural no rosto e dura mais que os típicos blushes em pó.

The second product is from the brand So Susan and it’s form the range Jello Shot. When I grabbed it I applied it immediately to my lips, let’s just say that I assumed it was a lip stain since it looks just like the other ones I have. I used it, photographed it and kept it in my bag for a couple of weeks… It was only when I was editing the photos that I realized that apparently this is not meant for the lips, but for the cheeks… Oh well…

The color Hangover, although it might look orange on the tube, on the skin turns a bit more pink. If you apply a little bit and blend it very well with fingers, you can achieve a very natural look that lasts much longer than the typical powder blushes.

A mascara é da marca Jorel Parker. É uma mascara de argila com uns óleos à mistura. Não trazia caixa e a parte de trás do tubo não indica qualquer ingrediente, mas faz questão de listar todos os benefícios do mundo que tem. Usei uma vez só para não escrever um post sem a ter testado, a única conclusão que cheguei é que tem um cheiro intenso. Sou um pouco esquisita com os meus produtos para a pele, e acho que este vai ser doado à minha irmã.

The mask is from Jorel Parker. It’s a clay mask with some oils according to the from os the tube. It didn’t came with a box and the packaging has no ingredients listed, but we get a very extensive list of all the benefits of this mask. I just used it once for the sake of this post, and the only think I and say about it is that it has a strong scent. I’m a little bit iffy when it comes to skin care products, so I think I’ll pass this one to my sister.

Por fim, um gloss da marca Manna Kadar mas que na embalagem admite ser um lip stain (só que não), para mim isto é um gloss, é peganhento, “glossy”, e não deixa qualquer resido da cor quando desaparece. Se há produto de maquilhagem que eu odeio são os glosses… Mesmo que a cor seja linda, digamos que fui “lucky” com esta cor, mas eu posso vos garantir que não lhe vou tocar mais.

Lastly I got a gloss from the brand Manna Kadar, that on the packaging claims to be a lip stain…. But to me this is a gloss: it’s sticky, glossy and it doesn't leave any color residue behind. If you didn’t knew this, I hate glossess… Even in this beautiful color, (lets just say that I was “lucky” to get this shade), I can guarantee you that I will not touch this product ever again.

Para resumir, não vou voltar a comprar. O serviço é super eficiente, barato e prático. Não tenho nada contra a Lip Montly, mas com a quantidade de maquilhagem que eu tenho, não me vejo a usar produtos que recebi aleatoriamente quando já tenho uma colecção de maquilhagem extensa #FirstWorldProblems

To sum it up, I will not repurchase this bag again. The service is quick, practical and efficient. I have nothing against Lip Monthly, but for me personally there is no point since I have a big makeup collection, so I will never chose to use a product that I got randomly. #FirstWorldProblems

Benefit Coralista – Muito mencionado aqui e com razão para tal. É das cores mais naturais desta lista, mas com o twist, pois tem um pouco de shimmer. É mesmo muito lindo!

Benefit Coralista – Really talked about here and for a good reason. It’s one of the most natural shades of this list, but wish a twist, since it has a bit of shimmer. It really is a gorgeous shade!

Becca Flowerchild – É o que uso menos, pelo simples facto de ser pequeno e eu gostar de usar pincéis gigantescos para o blush. Mas quando me lembro de o usar nunca me arrependo. É aquela cor vibrante que transforma looks naturais em algo mais. Se os laranjas não forem a vossa onda, esta cor é uma óptima opção.

Becca Flowerchild – It’s the one that I use the least, for the simple fact that its too small for my big blush brushes. But every time that I remember to use it I never regret it. It’s that vibrant shade that transforms natural looks. If you’re not a big fan of oranges, this color is a great option.

MAC Melba – Um blush de culto, provavelmente um dos mais conhecidos da MAC. Melba consegue ser um laranjinha sem ser LARANJA (if you know what I mean), ao contrário do Peaches. É matte e dura imenso tempo na minha pele.

MAC Melba – A cult blush, probably one of the most famous from MAC. Melba is Orangy without beening too ORANGE (if you know what I mean), unlike Peaches. It’s matte and lasts a long time on my skin.

Nars Deepthroat – A Nars e os seus nomes porno… bem, eu não tenho o Orgasm, mas tenho este que é a irmã menos rosa. Gosto muito dele mas não lhe toco no dia-a-dia por ser tão pigmentado, e o tempo para espalhar blush é reduzido de manhã.

Nars Deepthroat – Nars and their porno names… well, I don’t have Orgasm, but I have this one that is a less pink sister. I really like it but I don’t touch it on the day-to-day because it’s so pigmented and I don’t have time in the mornings to blend it out.

Tarte Treasured – Eu vivo para este blush! Apesar de ser mini e muito (MUITO) pigmentado, é raro o dia de verão em que eu não o pegue. Parece um pouco contraditório com o que disse dos blushes da Becca e Nars, mas a verdade é que basta usar simples pincel duo fiber para agarrar um bocadinho de pó e espalha-o na perfeição. Ele tem uma textura matte muito fácil de esbater, ao contrário dos outros que tem shimmer e desfazem-se mal lhes toco com este tipo de pincel.

Tarte Treasured – I live for this blush! Altough it’s mini and really (REALLY) pigmented, it’s rare the summer day that I don’t pick it up. Unlike the Becca and Nars blushes, I just need a simple dou fiber brush to pick up just enough product and blend it perfectly. It has a matte texture, very easy to work with, not like the others that have shimmer and kick off a lot of powder when that type of brush touches them.

Makeup Geek Bliss – Esta marca recentemente reformulou os seus blushes antigos e lançou umas cores novas. Bliss continua na linha permanente e ainda bem pois é o meu favorito. É um pêssego super macio e fácil de esfumar com acabamento matte. No swatch ele parece ser um pouco patchy, mas acreditem que aplicado com um pincel isso não acontece!

Makeup Geek Bliss – This brand recently reformulated their entire blush collection and released new colors. Bliss is still a part of the permanent collection and it is my favorite Makeup Geek blush by far. It’s a soft peach easy to blend and with a matte finish. When swatched looks a bit patchy, but believe me, when applied with a brush that doesn't happen!

A primeira vez que testei as sombras desta marca foi há mais de 2 anos, e desde o primeiro swatch nunca mais olhei para trás. Tinha uma ZPallete com uma dúzia de sombras da MAC, mas o meu OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, para os mais distraídos), não me deixava olhar para aquela paleta meio vazia… então fui comprando aos poucos as sombras da HEAN.

The first time that I tested this brand was over 3 years ago, and since the first swatch I never looked back. I had a dozen Mac shadows inside a Zpalette, but my OCD was killing me every time that I picked up the half full palette… so I started buying HEAN shadows little buy little to fill it up!

Esta marca polaca, à venda na Maquillalia por 2.50€, tem sombras individuais com uma qualidade incrível. Na altura, o maior defeito que podia apontar à marca era a inexistência de fotos decentes das sombras, mas agora isso já não acontece! Para além do crescimento da marca nas redes sociais, a Maquillalia incumbiu-se de fazer um vídeo no seu canal de Youtube com os swatches de todas as cores da marca (que eu procurei quando esta a escrever o post mas afinal desapareceu).

Eu tenho 18 sombras, com acabamento mate, shimmery e metálico, este ultimo têm uma fórmula muito parecida com as foiled da Makeup Geek, que custam quase 10€.

This Polish brand, sold on Maquillalia for 2.50€, has individual shadows with an incredible quality. At that time, the biggest complaint that I had was the lack of good photos of the shadows, but that doesn’t happen anymore! Not only did this brand grew on social media, but Maquillalia made a Youtube vídeo where it shows swatches of all the colors available (That I can't find anymore).

I have a total of 18 shadows, all with diferente finishes: matte, shimmery and metallic. This last one has a similar formula to the foiled eye shadows from Makeup Geek, that cost around 10€.

802 – Baunilha mate. Matte vanilla.

804 – Cor de tijolo claro mate. Soft matte brick shade.

806 – Rosa Barbie mate. Barbie pink, matte.

801 – Branco mate, muito pigmentado. Very pigmented matte white.

803 – Cor de pele mate com base laranja. Matte skin color with slight orange undertones.

811 – Cor de pele, mate. Se tiverem curiosidade em alguma sombra da Hean, eu recomendo especialmente esta. É a cor perfeita para fazer contorno de olhos ou rosto. Skin colored shade. If you want to try some Hean shadows just buy this one. It's perfect for contouring the eyes, nose or face.

814 – Azul marinho, mate. Navy blue, mate.

824 – Laranja muito brilhante. Orange with a foiled finish.

826 – Castanho com brilho cobre. Brown with a copper shimmer.

812 – Verde militar, mate. Army green, matte.

823 – Rosa com brilho dourado. Pink with a foiled effect.

827 – Roxo brilhante. Shimmery purple.

836 – Amarelo torrado na pan mas parece um amarelo vibrante no swatch, acabamento mate (recebi 2 sombras iguais por engano na minha encomenda). Looks like a burnt yellow shade in the pan, but is a vibrant yellow when swatched (I got 2 of these by mistake).

840 – Roxo médio aveludado. Medium satin purple.

851 – Castanho arroxeado médio aveludado. Satin taupe shade.

837 – Castanho claro aveludado. Light satin brown.

841 – Baunilha com uma base rosa. Vanilla shade with a pink base.
