Sleek Matte Me Liquid Lipsticks – Review & Swatches
A moda dos batons liquidos está a levar-me à falencia (#FLYMONEYFLY!).
Umas das marcas mais acessíveis em Portugal é a Sleek (à venda na Maquillalia ou Sephora).
Então decidi comprar três batons líquidos chamados matte me – ultra smooth matte lip
creams, nas cores Birthday Suit,
Rioja Red e Fandango Purple.
This new liquid lipstick trend is making a serious
dent in my bank account (#FLYMONEYFLY!).
One of the easiest brands to get our hands on in
Portugal is Sleek (sold on Maquillalia and Sephora). So I decided to buy 3 shades of the matte
me – ultra smooth matte lip creams, in Birthday Suit, Rioja Red and
Fandango Purple.

e neste momento só há 6 cores diferentes. Quanto à formula destes batons:
· Tem uma textura liquida que seca mate.
· Dura algum tempo, mas, passado 3/4 horas a cor começa
a desaparecer na parte interior dos lábios.
· Deixa os lábios secos, mas não exageradamente como
os Velvetines da Lime Crime.
· Não esfarela, como os da Lasphash Cosmetics.
They cost 6,49€ on the maquillalia website and they come in 6 different shades. The
formula of these lipsticks:
· Has a liquid texture that dries
mate.
· Lasts some time, but after 3/4 hours,
the color starts to fade in the inner part of the lips.
· Leaves the lips feeling dry,
but it’s not as bad as the Lime Crime Velvetines.
· Doesn’t crumble, like the Lasphash Cosmetics ones do.
Birthday suit é o
meu favorito. É um nude escuro com uma base quente e acastanhada. Muito, muito
bonito. Gosto de usá-lo com blushes alaranjados/corais. Ideal para levar para o
trabalho. Este dá para perceber que é uma edição diferente dos outros, o
packaging mudou ligeiramente (Matte Me em vez de matte me) e o aplicador é
maior.
Birthday
suit is my favorite. It’s a dark nude with warm brown
undertones. Very, very pretty. I like to wear it with peachy and coral blushes.
It’s ideal to wear to work. You can tell that I have a different edition of
these liquid lipsticks. The packaging is slightly changed (Matte Me instead of matte me)
and the applicator is bigger.
Rioja Red é um típico
vermelho com tom quente. Apesar de os
batons líquidos serem ideais para quem quer cores vibrantes de longa duração eu
acho esta cor extremamente difícil de aplicar.
Rioja red it’s
a typical warm toned red. Even though liquid lipsticks are ideal to people that
want long wearing vibrant colors, I find this lipstick really hard to apply.
Fandago purple é
um roxo-magenta vibrante. É igualzinho ao Flat
Out Fabulous da Mac. Pessoalmente
prefiro o batom da Mac porque dá
para esbater a “fronteira” do batom, enquanto que o da Sleek seca tão
rapidamente que não consigo disfarçar nada.
Fandago
purple it’s a vibrant purple-magenta. It’s just like Flat Out Fabulous from Mac. Personally, I prefer the Mac one because you can smudge the lipstick
edges and the Sleek one dries too quickly to do that.
Resumidamente acho que estes batons valem apena. São uns dos meus favoritos!
To some up, I think these liquid lipsticks are worth
it. They are some of my favorites!
